Going back to the example of papers that you have been writing for classes, think about when you utilize bullet points or outline formats. The bullets or numbers are aligned and then the text next to them maintains a straight line as well. This aids in organizing the information and creates the visual “roadmap” for the reader we have been speaking about.Paragraph style sheets and character style sheets are regularly utilized in InDesign to make the job of the designer much easier while creating the cohesive elements necessary for a professional, polished design. For example, the designer of a magazine will set up paragraph style sheets that record all of the specifications (size, leading, tracking and so on) of the body copy used for articles. They can then apply or change multiple characteristics with a single click. Previously only the impact of benchmarking, comparing services to similar organizations with similar demographics, of nurse-sensitive indicators (NSI) for quality measures was limited to the acute inpatient setting.  Benchmarking quality measures in the inpatient setting has long been used to develop care models, revision of staffing models to support high-quality care and promote the value of nursing (Start, Matlock, Lynn, Aronow, & Soban, 2018).    To make a change in a care delivery model improving care and decreasing cost, the nurse must leverage NSIs and make comparisons with demographics and role information leveraging the NSIs and make comparisons illustrating the impact of nurses on patient care.Benchmarking for Financial Appraisal     The development of benchmarking measures helps organizations understand the resources required, and the delivery system needs to provide patient care (Start et al., 2018).  Understanding the data to even the playing field of information into an equal comparison process requires evaluating like characteristics.   In oncology, navigation benchmarks are used to assess the impact of using a nurse to direct a patient throughout the continuum of cancer care.  Currently, the use of a nurse navigator does not directly generate revenue for an organization; research suggests oncology patient navigators effectively create positive patient outcomes by collecting data and benchmarking quality outcomes to improve the care provided.  One of the specific benchmarks captured by nurse navigators is timeliness to care.  By comparing the days from diagnosis to treatment of like facilities, the organization can determine if additional providers are needed to ensure patients receive care promptly (Crane-Okada, R., 2013).Benchmarking Risks    As benchmarking has evolved, so has the definition and measures.  Ettorchi, Levif & Michel (2012) describe the process as a measurement of one’s organizations performance as compared with the best-performers to learn the latest work methods and practices. My name is Logan. I am 34 years old, and I reside in Georgia. I have two daughters, 7 and a half and six. I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in human services and will continue my education with my master’s in psychology. I initially began my journey at 18 for AA in Psychology but life took a different turn but somehow everything keeps falling into place for me to follow my passion for helping people. I enjoy and love helping others solve their problems and assist with their personal journey in helping better themselves. I also want to continue this path to show my daughters to never give up and that time is relative to the individual, nobody is on the same path at the same time. Concerning our discussion topic, this one is hard because it is stated we should keep the perspective of a researcher and not be biased; however, I feel that’s not easy in any case of harm or abuse witnessed. We are all human, not robots and our individual perspectives are what makes us unique at being the best we can in the roles we choose. I feel that it might be worth the risk to step out of the researcher boundaries and help the child in the smartest and most successful way possible that won’t bring harm to myself, or the child involved. The authorities of course need to be contacted and I would plan to testify or do whatever it takes to bring those parents to justice as legal as possible. I also think it opens the doors to further research on how many times researchers witness abuse so that maybe something can be done about it. It shouldn’t be an often occurrence to witness something so heinous and to be in such boundaries that we are unable to help and ultimately save a life. I think we can all agree that if it should touch your heart to help someone in need and assist in any way that doesn’t involve harm being brought upon yourself or future violence or neglect to the victim involved.
