Discuss how you would disseminate the findings from your study and how implementation might occur.

1. Assessment Question Choice

For this assignment you will need to develop one simple research question (RQ) based around an issue/topic from your area of practice.

  • Keep it simple and something that is manageable
  • Look at the literature on this topic/issue – what do we currently know on this topic/issue – what don’t we yet know on this issue – this is the ‘gap’ in the literature
  • You will develop your research question – from this ‘gap’ in the literature – we do not want to do a study that has already been done – we want you to develop a research question that is going to develop new knowledge on this topic/issue
  • Remember we are not actually doing this study – this is a proposal for a study – telling us how you would go about answering the research question you developed.

1.1. Overview of the Assignment

The assignment should  be based on the approach and methods you would use to answer the research question you developed  and encompass the following sections:

  1. Contents page (not in word count)
  2. Introduction (200 words approx. *)
  3. The main body of the assignment which will include:
  • 500 words (approx.) on searching for evidence
  • 2100 words (approx.) research pilot design
  • 500 words (approx.) on dissemination and implementation
  1. Conclusions (200 words approx.)
  2. Reference list – all references should be cited using APA7th referencing style which is attached as SHSC Referencing Guidelines 2020.pdf (not in word count)
  3. Appendices -if used (not in word count).

*Wordcount given for each section are approximations and should not be taken literally. Your total word count should be 3500 words (plus or minus 10%). While there is no formal penalty for being under or over the wordcount, if you are under the wordcount it is unlikely that you will have addressed the assignment requirements fully. If you are over the word count significantly you will have failed to demonstrate that you can write concisely. In both cases, you will lose marks.

1.2. Summative Assignment

Your final assessment will comprise of One 3,500 Word Essay which will make up 100% of your overall grade.

Frame your assignment around three main areas:

  • PART 1: Discussing how you would search for evidence and evaluating this selected evidence
  • PART 2: Design a small pilot study, following the stages of the research process
  • PART 3: Discuss how you would disseminate the findings from your study and how implementation might occur.

Part 1 in more detail requires you to:

  • Describe how you will locate relevant evidence for the chosen scenario (including keywords & database)
  • Provide a clear systematic search strategy
  • Retrieve relevant literature (minimum 6 articles)
  • Evaluate the evidence based on hierarchy of evidence

Part 2 in more detail requires you to:

Develop a research proposal based around the following areas:

  1. Developing a research question
  2. Determine research approach – you need to choose from one of the following:

Quantitative – experimental

Quantitative – observational

Qualitative

  1. Determine Setting
  2. Sampling method
  3. Inclusion/exclusion criteria
  4. Recruitment
  5. Ethics
  6. Data Collection
  7. Data Analysis (you will not actually analyse data – but you need to discuss how you might analyze the data if it was collected.)

*You must use literature to demonstrate you understand the research process and to justify the decisions you are making when planning your research.

Part 3 in more detail requires you to:

  • Consider how you would share your work (Dissemination Plan) and implement changes in practice
  • Write about what will help or hinder dissemination and implementation using evidence to support your writing.

1.3. Marking Criteria

The criteria that will be used to assess your written assignment is attached as Assessment criteria APR 20.docx.

– please make sure you look at this when structuring and writing your assignment.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU LOOK AT THIS!

This provides you with the information about what we are looking for when you write your assignment. The module team uses this to grade your work.

1.4. Correct Referencing and Presentation

Referencing & Presentation in adherence with University Guidelines (Worth 10% of the final mark)

  • Throughout your assignment references must be cited using the accepted format which is attached as SHSC Referencing Guidelines 2020.pdf.
  • Your assignment should read coherently, be proof-read and be grammatically accurate.
  1. Assignment must be presented in accordance with University Guidelines

Your assignment should be presented  in Arial, Size 12 font and double-line spaced.  It should have the accepted front cover correctly completed, a signed plagiarism declaration sheet, contents page and each page should be numbered.

  1. References to appropriate literature to support assignment

The references used should demonstrate that you have undertaken wider reading to support your learning.  They should come from a variety of sources such as journal articles, text books and reliable internet sources.

  1. The Assignment should be logical in sequencing and presented as an academic piece of work

The assignment should be presented as an academic piece of work (i.e. have a brief introduction, main body -including the EBP and critique sections- and a brief conclusion).  Each section should have a logical flow to it. You should use third person wherever possible.

  1. Accurate Grammar & Spelling

Remember to use spell check before you submit and consider getting someone to ‘proof-read’ it for you!

  1. Accurate referencing

All sources must be correctly cited in alphabetical order in your reference list using the APA7th system.  N.B. The reference list is not counted in the word count but citations within the essay are.

Define and explain the differences between Courts and Tribunals.
Topic: International Tribunal and Courts

Paper details:

THIS IS A RE-WRITE; I have attached the initial assignment as reference: Please note feedback from initial paper: “There are grammar mistakes, wrong word choices (see e.g., “reward” vis a vis “award” p. 6, “using” vis a vis “suing” p.11), as well as multiple sentences which are not clear or unfinished (see p. 6, second paragraph). The writing affects the clarity of ideas in many paragraphs. From the substantive point of view, your COMP mixes references to domestic courts/tribunals and international courts/tribunals, without clarifying why you are talking about domestic bodies like the Supreme Court or Income Tax tribunal (page 3,4,5 and 7). Your essay does not show an organized structure and it is very difficult to read and grasp your main arguments/ideas. Moreover, there are many sentences that make no sense. In page 7 you provide a definition of international tribunal and you define a tribunal “as an international treaty” (how can a tribunal be a treaty?). In page 10 you state that “The tribunal typically starts investment treaties.” (treaties are made by states not by tribunals). Similarly, in page 10 you state that “investment treaties formed under the investment tribunals” (incorrect). In page 10 you state that “investment tribunals like the Bilateral Investment Treaties” (how can a tribunal be a treaty??). You confuse the notion of a treaty (made by states) and the tribunal, who enforces the treaty. This is the very basic foundation of international law. In page 12 you talk about the “least possible standard of treatment” (such standard does not exist in international trade or international investment). Overall, your essay does not reflect a coherent analysis.” _______________ Please use different “examples of Investment Decisions” During the last decades the international community has experienced the emergence of new International Courts and Tribunals. Answer the following questions: 1) Define and explain the differences between Courts and Tribunals. 2) Expand on to the notion of international tribunals in general, and Investment Tribunals in particular. 3) Provide some examples of investment decisions you are welcome to rely on NAFTA Awards Thkzhe file will be available after confirmation

what is the best counterargument for CCS that substantial performance did not occur?

Read the case below and answer the questions that follow.
Cold Case Storage (CCS) provides refrigerated storage facilities for food purveyors. CCS
contracts with Igloo Builders Inc. (Igloo) to build five refrigerated warehouses. The contract
called for type “A1A” brand insulation so that the warehouse would stay between 35 and 40
degrees with minimal energy. Igloo built the first four warehouses using the A1A insulation,
but then ran short of supply. Igloo’s construction manager did not want to miss the completion
deadline because her bonus depended on timely completion. Therefore, she ordered her
workers to substitute B1B insulation for the A1A insulation in the last warehouse. Upon
inspection, CCS refused to pay for the final warehouse, citing expert evidence that, because
the B1B insulation was not as efficient, the extra costs would total $1,000 (more during peak
hot months) per month in cooling costs.
If Igloo argues that it substantially performed by using the B1B pipe, what is the best
counterargument for CCS that substantial performance did not occur?

In what significant way are the cases similar and in what significant way are they different?

Good Faith Performance and Discharge Good Faith Performance and Discharge
Although the ultimate goal of the parties in a contract is to discharge the obligations of the
parties by performing as promised, a contract may also be discharged through substantial
performance, mutual consent of the parties, or through operation of law. The law also
imposes an affirmative duty of fair dealing and good faith in performing obligations, and this
underlies all contract transactions.

How did the pre-assessment provide data to determine the learning gaps and needs of students?
Topic: Pre-Assessment-Social Studies

Paper details:

Pre-assessment and Implementation **Part 1 *Develop a pre-assessment for each 3 of your future students who are in the range of : (above, at, or below standard achievement) in the social studies content area that aligns to the standards and unit that you stated in your Clinical Field Experience A (please see attached). This pre-assessment you create can be written, or completed through technology. The pre-assessment should identify how well selected students know the concept and provide data that would allow you to determine learning gaps and needs in order to develop an appropriate lesson to support learning needs. How would you implement the pre-assessment that you created with the 3 students who are (above, at, or below standard achievement). **Part 2: Reflection *In 300 words, summarize and reflect the steps you would take to identify students for the pre-assessment and their pre-assessment results. Additionally consider: -How did the pre-assessment provide data to determine the learning gaps and needs of students? -What challenges do you think you will face when developing and delivering the pre-assessment? -Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

What are the costs and application rules for obtaining each of these ID cards?

TOPIC #6: ARE NEW VOTING REQUIREMENTS DISCRIMINATORY? Approximately 18 states (including Florida) changed their voting laws after the 2020 election. A: Choose 1 state that changed its law and compare/contrast the voting law provisions in effect at the time of the 2020 election with the changes enacted after the election. Quote the textbook on which part of the policy-making process was most important in making the changes. (Florida would be a good choice as one of the states that changed its voting laws.) If voter IDs were added to the law, what specific types of ID cards will be accepted? (Driver license, active military ID, retired military ID, student ID from a state school, etc). What are the costs and application rules for obtaining each of these ID cards? Which racial groups, political parties, age groups, etc., will be negatively impacted by the new law you analyzed? What do public opinion surveys show about these changes? See especially Pew and Rasmussen public opinion polling organizations. If you choose Georgia as the state to analyze, see: org/2021/04/factchecking-claims-about-the-georgia-voting-law/ B: Compare and contrast the views of liberal and conservatives on the trend toward tighter voting restrictions. This will be a general discussion not based specifically on one state. See The Brennan Center for Justice. Label each as “liberal” or “professional” on your Works Cited Page.
