Project Overview (1‐3 slides) ● More than 50% of car seats are improperly installed ● Child car seats are very effective at reducing the risk of injury or death to your child, but only if they are installed properly. A properly installed car seat is 71% effective at reducing injury and death according to the Safety Council of Palm Beach County. ● My goal is to give parents peace of mind by creating an autonomous car seat that can properly install itself and/or pass any installation inspection ● Potential resources: ○ Car Seat Statistics ○ Installation Mistakes most parents makes ○ Current car seats with similar features ○ Installation Manuals Background (7‐8 slides) • Include at least one illustration (photo, sketch, etc.) to orient the audience to the project domain. • Demonstrate that you are beginning to understand the problem domain and the problem posed, and include discussion of: o the reason for a new or changed product/process o the essential operation of your product/process o existing/competing products/processes that satisfy the same needs of the related industry o products/processes that accomplish similar but possibly different results (likely in other industries) and associated technologies and patents. According to Safe Kids Worldwide, “More than 2,600 children under 13 are involved in a car crash daily. That’s one child every 33 seconds. While most families put kids in car seats, the latest research from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows 59 percent of car seats are not installed correctly” (SafeKids, 2022). And according to the Canadian Pediatric Society, as many as 80 to 90 percent of car seats are used incorrectly.

In his discussion of pluralistic thinking (thinking that incorporates multiple views of the world), Amartya Sen suggests that the power of individual identity (our vision of ourselves, our understanding of our heritage, culture, history, etc.) could be challenged by the power of other competing identities. In our normal life we see ourselves as members of a variety of groups, such as a person’s citizenship, profession, religion, gender, class, politics, taste in music, sports, etc. Each of these groups gives us part of our identity. Please list 5 categories of identity with which you closely associate. Provide a 500-word account highlighting how these 5 categories might influence your job- related decisions (25%).

produce a 1500 word essay reflecting on the interactions between adults and children in relation to the promotion of learning in two specific areas of development.

“For this assignment you were asked to produce a 1500 word essay reflecting on the interactions between adults and children in relation to the promotion of learning in two specific areas of development. I can see in this essay that you have drawn on a wide range of sources to inform your writing although I cannot see any reference to the core text. The texts that you’ve used have been referenced accurately using the Harvard referencing system. You have used appropriate theory for cognitive development by drawing on the work of Piaget and Vygotsky. In relation to Piaget you have talked about schema’s which are commonly used to describe patterns of behaviour, but I cannot see a link between what you have written about this and the two observations you have included. For example, when the child was playing in the garden did you see any patterns in what he/she was doing? You may remember the video we watched on the little boy playing in the garden developing his  trajectory schema in a range of ways. Similarly with Vygotsky, I cannot link what you have said about the child or the practiotners role to your observations. The observations are quite brief and I think that these have not given you sufficient information to analyse in your essay, as there is little detail on the cognitive or physical skills that the child displayed. For example, you mention the child drawing – how did they hold the pencil, what movements did they make on the paper? How does this link physical development milestones/theory and what did the practitioner do to promote learning? The only mention you have made of the practitioners role is that of risk assessing the area, which of course is essential but does not relate to what you were being asked to do in this essay. Unfortunately, therefore, I do not feel that you have provided sufficient evidence to meet the requirements of this assessments at this stage and you will therefore be offered a resit.” Please improve it as mush as you like as long as it is meeting the criteria

Identify and explain two legal factual errors made in the movie.

Identify and explain two legal factual errors made in the movie. 1 mark

Example: In the Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), events of the movie are meant to take place on “on a late November evening”, however as President Richard Nixon’s resignation speech of August 1974 is live on the radio, there is an error in the time framing of the movie. Please note there are errors in The Castle movie that are much more obvious than this when you have a little legal knowledge.
