What specifically interests you about the field of Human Resource Management?Have you ever had to deal with the Human Resource department at a place of work – a good experience or not?Don’t forget to respond to at least one other class member, and address them by name.Antonia Bouzalas posted Sep 14I find human resource management interesting because it is essentially the basis for a productive and healthy workplace. The HR department manages one of the most important, or perhaps even the most important part of a business, which is its people. The department is responsible for hiring good workers, and is then responsible for making sure those workers continue to be good and can grow in their workplace, helping them to thrive and make sure they continue to be productive and a good assets to the company. There is so much more emphasis on making sure your employees are happy and productive, so that they add to the company, contribute to the corporate culture, and that they stick around. Also, lately, companies, especially after the pandemic, have realized how important people are, and so they have been appointing chief people officers who make sure the workers are happy and maintain a healthy workplace, which I thought to be quite interesting.I have personally not yet had to deal with the HR department, besides initial interviews!Thank you,Antonia
