what does each state do to report the recidivism rates?
This is Chapter 4 for a Capstone Project. I have attached Chapters 1-3 for reference.
Chapter IV: Results
This chapter includes a presentation and analysis of the data. The tone of the chapter is purely objective, devoid of assumptions and interpretations.
Following a summary of the research data, Chapter IV should be organized in a manner consistent with the research hypotheses: first, present data related to the first hypothesis; and second, analyze those data to determine whether the first hypothesis can be supported or rejected. Follow this sequence for each hypothesis.
Tables are an effective way to present quantitative data. Qualitative data should be summarized, as opposed to verbatim transcriiptions.
MY HYPOTHESIS:
States are under the impression that punishing juvenile offenders will teach them a lesson, although the lesson may not be the right one. California has found a way to do this while taking steps to reduce recidivism rates in the Juvenile Justice System.
Chapter 4 should reflect data about the Nationwide juvenile justice system. Basically answering the question, is it really possible to do this comparison? what does each state do to report the recidivism rates? Do they do the same things or different things? Can one actually be considered better than the other?
