This order is meant to be a PORTION of an overall MPH dissertation. The dissertation is about a hypothetical intervention to prevent COVID-19 amongst the elderly in Los Angeles County. This section of the paper is to discuss a health theory that will be utilized in the intervention. Please use the Health Belief Model (HBM). Identify constructs within HBM that can be used to stop or change behaviors linked to the elderly contracting COVID-19. Since this is just one section of the dissertation, the topic does NOT need to be introduced. You may start this paper with something along the lines of “The health belief theory best suited for the proposed intervention is the Health Belief Model (HBM).” I have attached the abstract for the dissertation and the framework diagram for the HBM. This should aid you in understanding the overall dissertation and theory and allow you to create a cohesive section about the health theory that will be used.

Instructions: Based on the literature, develop a theoretical framework or conceptual framework (diagram) that best represents the risk factors that are contributing to the health issue (COVID-19). You may use one theory/model (Health Belief Model). Explain your diagram by providing an overview of the theory and constructs chosen, and justify your selected constructs through evidence-based literature. The theoretical framework or conceptual framework will utilize constructs to illustrate the barriers connected to the health issue and health behavior.

Note: This section should be evidence-based, meaning accompanied with appropriate citations. Theoretical framework diagram or conceptual framework diagram should be referenced or discussed, but should be added. 2 pages max.
