COURSE TITLE: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

 

As the Management Accountant of a factory producing Covid vaccines you are keen to show that you are up to date with the latest trends in effective business management. Your organisation is considering introducing Total Quality Management (TQM). You have been tasked with finding and evaluating the published evidence on the amount of use and successfulness of TQM currently in businesses. You are required to create a briefing paper on your findings to Senior Management to inform their decision. (4 pages)

 

Guide to frame your response:

  1. Look at published evidence (At least 12 references)
  2. Consider downside of TQM, where it has been used, industries using it, whether it is successful or not.
  3. Conclude with how much it has been used and in what situation it has been successful and not successful.

  2. Relevant, concise evidence based on good quality references. (6 marks)

  4. Persuasive, clear reasoning flowing from the evidence and directed at answering the task. (6 marks)
  5. Well balanced conclusion that pulls together the discussion/reasoning and answers the specific task set. (5 marks)
  6. Correct format, Harvard referencing and clear structure.
