Week 6 analysis instructions

 

Analyze:

  • one page# about 5-10 lines from (Screwtape) letter 1 or2,
  • one page# about 5-10 lines from letter 3 or4,
  • one page# about 5-10 lines from letter 5.
  • one page# about 5-10 lines from letter 6 or7,
  • one page# about 5-10 lines from letter 8 or9,
  • and one page# about 5-10 lines fromletter 10.

For each of the six passages above, it is also important to indicate which page number only (and in bold) that you are analyzing

Discuss what meanings you draw from each passage in terms of setting, characterization, symbols, themes or a lesson learned. (Please see attached “Learning Targets for Literature” document that explains each of the above)  Each passage does NOT need to relate to the next one.  You can talk about character in one, symbol in another, and so on.

The benefit of focusing on specific passages with their bolded page numbers is that you show what you are responding to and what triggers your analysis.
