Determine how much different stakeholders value their relationships and discuss approaches

During the process of mining, refining, storage, transportation and use in the petrochemical industry, crude oil and various petroleum products will cause pollution to the environment. At present, it is mainly the pollution of oil to the ocean, which has become a serious problem worldwide. Therefore, whether the business has made any contribution to society or policies to protect the environment while making huge profits is now a public concern about their social responsibility performance. This research would like to explore this question.

 

CSR is not just being responsible to shareholders and companies, but also benefits other stakeholders. Today, investors are increasingly concerned about the impact of the companies they invest in on protecting the environment. Socially conscious consumers and other stakeholders are starting to pay more attention to CSR of a company and its impact on the environment. Some potential investors will consider the CSR policy of a company after reading this research, so that they can preferably understand the correlation between CSR and CFP. Company management can also acknowledge the influence of CSR on different levels of CFP and make improvements.

 

Research aims

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Petroleum industry’s relationship between corporate social responsibility performance and corporate financial performance from multiple perspectives, to explore the impact of CSR on CFP, to help investors make the right choice, and finally to consider how to assist management in improving corporate decision-making.

 

Research Objectives

(a) Investigate the conception and theories of CSR and CFP

  • Provides an overview of CSR and CFP theory
  • Identify CSR and CFP relationships and how they affect stakeholders
  • Identify issues that the company and stakeholders may encounter and how they may affect business strategy
  • Discuss previous research on the impact of stakeholders on the business
  • Obtain secondary data through online databases such as ABI/Inform (Proquest)

(c) Analyze and discuss results obtained from second-hand DATA to:

  • Determine the extent of CSR’s impact on CFP
  • Determining where CSR is considered most impactful to CFP
  • Determine how much different stakeholders value their relationships and discuss approaches

 

  • Results-Based Suggestions
  • Suggestions and conclusions are made to investors and management based on the above analysis.
