Also, this assignment will be reviewed for plagiarism.Read over this true story and decide if such an approach can be feasible in every industry. Provide substantiation for your answer by seeking out articles on line that discuss other firms attempts at team projects.Robert F. Hettinger, a venture manager with Signode Industries, Inc., in Glenview, Illinois, smiles as he recounts the strategy initiated by Jack Campbell, director of corporate development. “He strongly believed,” Hettinger says, “that you have to kiss a lot of frogs in order to find a prince. Most ideas in raw form aren’t winners—you really have to work them out before success sets in.”Signode, a $750 million-a-year manufacturer of plastic and steel strapping for packaging and materials handling, wanted to chart new directions to become a $1 billion-plus in the next ten years. In pursuit of this goal, Signode set out to devise an aggressive strategy for growth: developing “new legs” for the company to stand on. It formed a corporate development group to pursue markets outside the company’s core businesses but within the framework of its corporate strengths. Before launching the first of its innovation teams, Signode’s top management identified the firm’s global business strengths and broad areas with potential for new product lines: warehousing/shipping; packaging; plastics for nonpackaging, fastening, and joining systems; and product identification and control systems. Each new business opportunity suggested by an innovation team was to have the potential to generate $50 million in business within five years. In addition, each opportunity had to build on one of Signode’s strengths: industrial customer base and marketing expertise, systems sales and service capabilities, containment and reinforcement technology, steel and plastic process technology, machine and design capabilities, and productivity and distribution know-how.The criteria were based on business-to-business selling only; Signode did not want to market directly to retailers or consumers. The basic technology to be employed in the new business had to already exist and had to have a strong likelihood of attaining a major market share within a niche. Finally, the initial investment in the new opportunity had to be $30 million or less.Based on these criteria, Signode began to build its “V-Team” (innovation team) approach to intrapreneurship. It took three months to select the first team members. The six initial teams had three common traits: high risk-taking ability, creativity, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. All were multidisciplinary volunteers who would work full-time on developing new consumer-product packaging businesses. The team members came from such backgrounds as design engineering, marketing, sales, and product development. They set up shop in rented office space five miles from the firm’s headquarters. “We put them off-campus in order to create an entrepreneurial environment,” Hettinger recalls. The first innovation team recommendation, complete with a business plan, was to produce plastic trays for frozen entrees that could be used in either regular or microwave ovens. The business potential for this product was estimated to be in excess of $50 million a year within five years.Signode launched a total of six teams in two years. All team volunteers passed a rigorous selection process. Typically, the employees were borrowed from operating divisions; after their team’s work was finished, they either returned to their old positions or took positions with the newly formed business unit and further championed the new ideas.According to Hettinger, the I-Team experience rekindled enthusiasm and affected morale overall. In every case, an I-Team member became a better contributor to Signode. Most important, their V-Team approach became a strategy for members to invent the future rather than waiting for things to happen.Source: Mark Frohman and Perry Pascarella, “Achieving Purpose-Driven Innovation,” Industry Week (March 19, 1990): 20–26; and personal interviews, 2015.Minimum of 1 page double spaced. You have been asked to review the five different types of health care insurance plans and the characteristics of each to make sure the central business office (CBO) is up-to-date on all the rules and regulations. It is important to be familiar with these plans and the characteristics of each because they play a vital role in the reimbursement process for your health care organization. Discuss the following:Part 4Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.Accurate coding and billing are essential to a health care facility and to a physician’s financial survival. Coding is a complex task that ties to charges and revenue generation. Failure to capture all charges associated with a patient encounter can result in significant revenue loss. Medical necessity also plays a vital role in the contract with the facility or physician in terms of receiving payment from the third party payer (e.g., an insurance company).Part 1For this Discussion Board, you will define medical necessity, and you will describe the criteria to determine it.Part 2Once the patient has an established diagnosis and the services and procedures have been ordered, you will code out this information and place it on the claim for payment. It is important for health care professionals to understand this process to receive accurate reimbursement. For this part of the discussion, you will be identifying the coding systems that are utilized to support the diagnosis, services, and procedures.List and discuss the coding system that is utilized to code out the patient’s conditions or diagnosis. Provide an example of a diagnosis with the appropriate code as an example, and respond to the following questions:Next, identify what coding system is utilized to capture the services and procedures that the patient has received (both levels). List an example of a service or procedure with the appropriate code as an example, and respond to the following questions:Part 5Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas. There have been some major developments in the health care industry with the evolution of managed care, patient-centered care, electronic medical records, medical necessity, stronger rules and regulations, and government intervention. You are fairly new at your job, so you have been asked to identify and review the federal regulations that impact (or have impacted) the financial management of the hospital and clinic.Complete the following for this Discussion Board assignment:Note: You must provide citations from your research.Part 6There are many reimbursement methods that are utilized to reimburse physicians and facilities for the services and procedures that they provide to patients. A physician and the facility must keep track of the services and procedures that they are providing to the patients to bill out and receive the appropriate reimbursement. The chargemaster or charge description master (CDM) is the billing process that is used in all health care facilities, and it is updated yearly.Focus your discussion on the following questions:Summative Discussion BoardReview and reflect on the knowledge you have gained from this course. Topic – web application firewall – research paper and power point – cs

Project Topic: Web Application Firewall
DO:
– Include visual information: graphs, pictures, tables, formulae, and data.
– Include a separate reference to the original source for any graph, illustration or table not created by you.
– Give ALL references, including websites, in the same format: Author(s), Title, Publication (book, magazine, web link), and page. Wikipedia is NOT a valid bibliographical source and MUST NOT be cited.
– A number of references: 6 is a bare minimum. But don’t go overboard, either and consider 20 as an upper limit.
– Aim for 20 -25 pages in total. Papers which are too short or too long are undesirable.
– And finally, if you are uncertain about anything with your project, ASK.
DO NOT:
– Include a Table of Contents. This only belongs in books, not in short articles. It seems like an easy way to boost your page count, but it will be penalized.
– Include code. In case the code is necessary, add it as an Appendix. If the code is of significant length, make a separate file for it and upload to along with your project paper.
2. Research Presentation (MS PowerPoint)
DO:
– Include as many graphs, tables, and data as possible
– Keep the number of text slides to a minimum.
– Aim for 10-12 slides total. Presentations which are too long are undesirable.
DO NOT:
– Include References. They only belong in your paper, not a presentation.
– Copy/paste your entire paper into PowerPoint. Again, it seems like an easy way out, but it will be penalized. Presentation is NOT the same as a project paper. The goal of the presentation is to support your oral report and show your results.
COURSE RESEARCH PROJECT
The proposal should clearly describe the project to be undertaken, including the topic to be covered, any investigation, development, or experimentation to be conducted, and the expected results. Proposals will be reviewed and must be approved by the instructor.
REPORT GUIDELINES
Each project will result in a detailed 20-25-page written report. The project report should be neat, readable, and self-contained. Also, it should be written with the readers in mind. Any class member should be able to understand your report and benefit from the results you obtain. Therefore, you should include adequate references and/or background materials and you should use tables, diagrams, graphs, figures, and portions of printouts to enhance readers’ comprehension of your project.
The following format is suggested. You don’t have to follow it exactly. Some sections may not be needed, or additional sections may be necessary. In all cases, please type and paginate your report!
1. Abstract. It comes first in your report, but you write it last.
2. Summary. Gives succinct information on the purpose, methods, results and conclusions reported.
3. Introduction. Include background material and discuss the scope and limitations of your project.
4. Discussion. The body of your report. This includes the methodology used. Be sure to fully describe any figures, tables or diagrams you include.
5. Results.
6. Conclusions.
7. Recommendations, especially for future work and unsolved problems.
8. References must always be included., annotated if possible.
9. Appendices, including supporting material as needed.
Do not submit complete computer outputs. Relevant excerpts from program listings or output should be included but reduced to the size of the rest of the report and containing either as figures or tables in the text or as an appendix.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
The format for written reports and copies of presentation slides is 8.5 x 11″ white paper, stapled in the upper left corner. Submit a copy of a report or set of presentation slides. In addition, attach an electronic copy of your report to an e-mail sent to your instructor.
Grading of written reports and presentations will be based upon substantive content, appropriate organization and use of allotted size, and effectiveness of the presentation or report. Multiple errors in grammar and spelling are unprofessional and detract from the clarity of your report or presentation and will be graded accordingly, so use a spell checker!
Plagiarism is stealing or passing off the ideas or words of another as one’s own — using material without crediting the source. This is prohibited behavior and will not be tolerated. Take the time to properly cite material written by someone else — include references, put verbatim quotes in quotation marks, and do not paraphrase excessively. If you have questions about this, ask your instructor.

ISSC 325 Central Texas College Biometrics Discussion Responses

I need two responses of at least 150 words each for the below students discussions 1) Research and discuss biometric multi-factor system designs and the effects of multi-biometrics on the user.Student one:Hey Class,Multi-factor authentication uses two different authentication factors to identify a user and provide access to files, systems, buildings, etc. Using multiple forms of authentication can tighten security and lessen the effects of phishing attacks, making it harder for adversaries to gain access while keeping a relatively simple process for authorized users (Strom, 2019). The three types of authentication are something you know (i.e. password), something you have (i.e. CAC), and something you are (i.e. CAC) (Strom, 2019). Most systems that require multi-factor authentication require you to use at least two different types, but there are systems that use two biometric factors for authentication. The current options for multi-factor biometric authentication are multi-modal, multi-sensor, multi-instance, multi-algorithm, and multi-sample designs (Modi, 2011). I have seen two of the designs in place. A multimodal system uses two different biometric factors and fuses them to provide authentication (Modi, 2011). Some of the automated gates in South Korea used a CAC, fingerprint, weight, and facial recognition (even though I’m pretty sure the security used the camera feed and compared our face to our ID pic in the system) to grant access to the base. The system often malfunctioned and users contacted security through a speaker system to gain access. The second design I encountered was Multi-sample. The police department took multiple samples for the index finger but only required you to provide it once after enrolling, so I’m assuming they used the original samples to decrease the rate of false negatives (Modi, 2011).The effects depend on the knowledge of the user, the simplicity of the system, and the quality of the system. A system like the one in Korea caused major inconveniences for people as the line to get through the gates often exceeded 15 people. Because of the poor effectiveness of the system, most users authenticated incorrectly by engaging with guards via the camera and speaker system, or simply chose to avoid the system and went to manned gates that were out of their way.References:Modi, S. K. (2011). Biometrics in Identity Management: Concepts to Applications. Retrieved from Strom, D. (2019, January). Exploring multifactor authentication benefits and technology. Retrieved from -RickyStudent two:There are several multi-factor system designs when it comes to the use of multi-biometrics. These include multimodal, multi-instance, multisensor, multialgorthmic and multisample. The first, multimodal, combines multiple biometric technologies such as fingerprint and iris recognition to make a decision and is the most common multibiometric system used. Multimodal systems are a great way to allow all users to use the biometric system even when they do not have the ability to provide a certain type of sample.  Multi-instance biometric systems take data from the same type of characteristics, such as multiple fingerprints or both left and right iris. Multisensor systems use multiple sensors to collect the same characteristics and can capture different levels of information. For example, two sensors scanning one fingerprint sample instead of one. It combines the information and allows you to get more details than when using one type of sensor. Next is multialgorithmic, this type of system process one characteristic or trait, such as a fingerprint, and combines the information from two or more matches to make its decision, essentially using more than one formula. Lastly comes the multisample systems. These systems use multiple samples of the same biometric feature. Some samples can be distorted so combining these samples help reduce issues varying between samples which improve recognition performance, especially when used in the enrollment process.  The effects of multi-biometrics on the user can vary depending on whether the samples are obtained sequentially or simultaneously. If they are obtained sequential, this will require more time in the process which can cause a user to be unhappy with the system. When the samples are obtained simultaneously this requires less work and time from the subject which can result in higher satisfaction of the system. The use of a multibiometric system can result in fewer error rates as well which can boost satisfaction and effort.-BrittanyReference:Modi, S. K. (2011). Multibiometric Systems. Alabama A & M University Discussion Response

I need a response to the two discussion response question answer below. You must site your reference you use. The book is Human Resource Deveiopment Talent Development by Werner but you can use other resource to answer the response questions. You have to respond to the answer they wrote below.A change agent is someone who is internally or externally from the company and who has the ability to stimulate, facilitate, and coordinate the change effort for the organization. According to Werner (2017), a change agent must have the those skills and be able to perform a variety of team-building activities. They also have to be able to help the team leader in different facets of team development. For example, managing conflicts, problem solving and decision making, and finally the change agent must be able to understand the culture of the group or system that is targeted for change (Kim, 2012). If the change agent understands the culture of the group he/she will be able to identify “access leverage points” that can facilitate or impede the implementation of the change strategy (Werner, 2017). “Culture influences the negotiation process, management in general, performance monitoring and control, and work information-sharing norms” (Weidner et al., 2000). Being able to understand the organizational culture will help the change agent to relate to the employees and use it to help support the change process. If a problem exists between managers, the change agent needs to discuss and emphasize the importance of the change to them. It is important to have them understand and agree with the process in order to assist and facilitate the smoothness and ease of the change. If the managers refuse the help of the change agent, then the company may not succeed in reaching their goals and may eventually have to replace employees and management that are not accepting of the change. Yes, I believe it is important to acknowledge, understand, and value differences in the workplace because everyone is unique. It is the values that people have that help them to determine between what is right and wrong, what drives them to do what they do and how they want to live their lives. Different values in the workplace can be beneficial because people have different experiences, look at things differently and come up with solutions or ideas differently which may help the organization to be more productive. “When the established culture is strong, group members enjoy rewards for complying with cultural norms but also allow for new insight into other people’s lives,” (Waters, 2004). I enjoy being around people who are from all parts of the world and culturally different from me. It allows me to develop an a better understanding and connection into their lives. It shows me how their practices or beliefs are different from mine, and yet, how it leads to their growth. It teaches me to accept differences and to build an understanding that no religion or culture is better than the other but that each has its unique features. Waters (2004), states multiculturalism becomes an important concept to inculcate in today’s world of globalization where the chances of people living and interacting with racially and culturally different people than their own are heightened. I come from a small town with two caution lights in the middle of Alabama. My eyes opened wide to the world when I moved off to college and then to New Orleans. It was definitely a culture shock for me, but I love meeting so many new kinds of people. My friends and I have helped each other become more open-minded and understanding of others. We are the same in that we love our families, want to grow and learn, and are very supportive of cultural diversity. My friends and I all want to live a happy and successful life no matter the color of our skin, our accents, or where we come from. References:Kim, N. (2012).
