International Operations Discussion

1. What is your opinion of the course? Did it meet your expectations? What suggestions can you offer for improvements of this course for future students?Have any of these conceptions changed? Why?What have you learned about international law that you did not know?Is there anything that you thought you knew that you now understand differently after studying the materials in this course?Answer in couple sentences. subject is international operations and then agree or disagree within 2-3 sentences to post below2.I have to say I enjoyed this course a lot. I actually learned a lot. I especially enjoyed the course project, constructing a memo letter for the expansion of our selected businesses in our choice of country. I learned a lot about the country of Singapore and what my business would need to be knowledgeable of when settling in this country. I just think this assignment was great for business professionals in researching international law and what important aspects to consider to start a successful business. At this point, I do not think I would change much about this course. I found it very helpful. Since unit 1, my preconceptions seem to still be accurate, as I believed that business overseas get more tax breaks and less regulations, cheaper labor costs and initial overhead costs.

ART 141 The First Impressionists Essay

OVERVIEWThis assignment asks you to address the three ART 141 learning outcomes, that is to identify, comprehend and analyze the diverse content of Art history and apply them to a creative project. For this job I am asking you to build a content page around an historically significant artist or school of artists representing a defensible ART 100 topic. You are now the professor and need to inform and engage the class  with clarity and approachability. You need to be factual, but you can toss in some of your own ideas, as I do fairly often, so long as those ideas are rational and defensible. You might start a project by thinking about your interest in a particular artist, or period or subject and go from there. it might be advisable to  base your project on an artist or a theme  that I did not address in my content pages to keep the material fresh. There’s a million artists out there who qualify as significant that there just wasn’t time for or who I only mentioned in passing. You have a lot of options, but also some limitations.  Your assignment will be to build a content page, or make a video, a bit like the ones you’ve been seeing for the last 12 weeks, as though you were teaching an ART 100 class. The page or video should address one themed topic. Artists or topics are pretty open ended, but the subject you select must be defensibly, culturally important, and would apply cogently to art 100 class. Cabbage patch dolls, Korean chicken recipes, Birthday cards, etc would not cut it. If in doubt about a topic ask me! That’s what I’m here for. A content page or video usually takes one of the following formats –

BDS Management Effective Project Decision Making Discussion

The ability to make effective decisions is an essential skill for effective project management. An individual must use the information available to make informed decisions in a timely manner. The project manager must be ready to deal with situations that arise. Respond to the following: Respond to the following:DanielleClass and Professor,According to Burke and Barron (2014), the decision-making process can be a step by step method that includes the following elements in the process: determining the objectives, responsibilities and authority, the decisions needed, applicable information, the actions needed, and then providing instructions to the appropriate people (p. 338). In my experience, decisions are often made using this process, but it describes a typical progression that works when there is time to move through each step methodically. I have also used the decision tress analysis with success, especially when there are multiple paths to follow, and you only have time to choose the best option.Often, in a fast-paced environment or when working in stressful situations, a project manager and the team will not have the time to work through the stepped order alone. Having a project team helps the decision-making because the team can come together and support each other using a phased process or decision tree to arrive at an effective decision. Additionally, the project manager needs to be in a position to help make informed, prompt decisions, or to work with the team to get more information. According to Burke and Barron (2014), “The project manager needs to cut across organizational lines to coordinate and integrate specific resources located in the functional departments” (p. 62). Project managers that are supported by the organization are in a better position to ensure the decision-making process is more efficient, and therefore the project runs smoother.

CSUF Business Determining Whether Something Is Right or Not Essay

You will need to pick a topic that has both legal and ethical components.  In the past, students have picked such topic as collegiate athletes being paid for endorsements, football players and the issue of head injuries/trauma, gun violence, police wearing cameras, and sexual assault on college campuses.  In the era of corona virus, the legal and ethical implications for business would also be an interesting topic. I would recommend that you go online and find a current topic that has both legal/ethical components to it.  Do not choose a topic that is outdated or one where the legal/ethical issues have been resolved. You will need to discuss 4 of your core values in the paper.  Core values are usually adjectives that describe you.  For example:  honesty, integrity, and faithfulness.  You will need to identify your core values and tell me how you live those values today and how you intend to live those values in the future.  Use examples from your life.  You will also need to include what it means to you to be an ethical person and how you create an ethical environment in your own life.  If you need more information on this section of the paper, you can go to my Ethics Powerpoint lecture online.  You will then need to have a section of the paper that deals with the legal/ethical topic you chose.  This portion of the paper should include a summary of the facts from the topic you chose.  You will need to identify the key legal and ethical issues.  You must then apply the Ethics Decision Model to your legal/ethical issues.  You can find the Ethics Decision Model in the Ethics Powerpoint lecture online.  You then need to identify action steps you would take to resolve the legal/ethical issue you have picked.

Prevention and Risk Factors of Falls in Hospital Discussion

respond to the discussion below add citations and references:One nursing problem that I have examined in nursing is patients falling in the hospital. Many patients have risk factors for falling such as medications they take, confusion, dementia, cluttered floors, poor use of foot wear such as patients not wearing nonskid slippers/socks, spills on the floor that are not cleaned up, history of falls, IV lines, poor lighting in the rooms, or age. “Falls occur at a rate of 3-5 per 1000 bed-days” (PSNET, 2019). Not only that but “more than one-third of in-hospital falls result in injury, including serious injuring such as fractures and head trauma” (PSNET, 2019). With this being said, preventing falls in all settings should be studied because as falls are unexpected they create more problems than what the patient came in for. Given this information, falls should be studied more on how to prevent them. It first starts off with the assessment of the patient. The nurse should perform a thorough assessment of the patient and assess any risk factors that the patient has for falls. Although all patients are at risk for falls in the hospital, there are certain patients who have more identified risk factors that place them at greater risk for falls. A fall prevention program should be implemented on the first the day the patient is admitted onto the unit (PSNET, 2019). A fall prevention program should include interventions such as, placing the patient close to the nursing station, educating on side effects of medications that cause dizziness or hypotension, placing bed alarms, and placing the bed in the lowest position (PSNET, 2019). These interventions along with proper footwear, clutter free rooms, and proper assessment of the patient are important in discussing this problem as falls further create additional injuries to the patient.PSNET. PSY 355 SNHU Psychological Assessment Observation Method Essay

In Milestone One, you chose a case history and a method of analysis. In Milestone Two, you begin to examine data. Submit a draft of the final project’s Observation and Benefits and Limitations sections. In this milestone, you begin to analyze the data in your client’s case history’s dossier. You will be addressing how the client’s behaviors and test conditions impacted the test results. You will also closely examine the different tests used to determine the benefits and limitations of each. Finally, you will consider whether or not the assessments were conducted ethically. All of your observations and insights will need to be supported with current research and accepted professional practices. In Milestone One, you chose a case history and described how you would be analyzing the case. In this milestone, you begin to analyze the data in your client’s case history. Specifically the following critical elements must be addressed: II. Observationa) Using the field notes provided and, referring to the specific testing instruments and methods used, describe the pertinent client behaviors and test conditions relevant to test outcomes and conclusions. What is the setting for the observation? Was it a natural or contrived situation? Was the subject aware of the observation (Hawthorne effect)? How did the observed behaviors relate to the referral question? b) How did the subject respond to testing? What was his or her level of comfort, effort, emotional state, and so on? Using other research, justify how the subject’s behavior could have been impacted by the test conditions. III. Benefits and Limitations a) Provide a rationale for the test selection used, a brief description of the tests used, and the obtained scores.b) For each test performed in the case history, assess the different approaches used by examining the benefits and limitations of each test performed.c) Relate the tests performed to the APA Ethical Code; did each test follow ethical guidelines? Justify your viewpoint by using current research and theory.

FIU Labor and Equipment in Civil Engineering System Questions

Problem 1  For a certain civil engineering system, we have two types of  resources: Labor, and equipment We refer to these resources by the index  j. Likewise each resource can be assigned to two types of  activities: Maintenance and operations. We refer to these activities by  the index i. Furthermore, the variables xij represent the amount of hours used by the resource j (labor/equipment) performing activity i (maintenance/ operations).Maintenance.   Maintaining the system involves the use of equipment and labor. The part of the labor that goes into maintenance has a cost of  $2/hour; and the part of equipment use that goes into maintenance has a  cost of $4/hour. The total labor and equipment costs for maintenance should not exceed the maximum maintenance budget of $21 millionOperations.      Operating the system involves the use of equipment and labor. The part of labor that goes into operations has a cost of $5/hour;  and the part of equipment use that goes into operations has a cost of  $3/hour. The total labor and equipment costs for operations should not exceed and maximum operations budget of $18 millionFrom past records of similar systems, it has been found that the performance of the system, Z,  depends on the amount of effort put in maintenance and operations.  Specifically, each hour of labor represents $3 million of profit for the  company and each hour of equipment represents $2 million of profit for  the company (it does not matter whether these hours where used for  maintenance or operation). As a manager in the agency, you seek to  maximize Z under the given budgetary constraints.Write the complete optimizations problem mathematically (the objective function and all constraints).Problem 2 For construction of a civil engineering facility, a contractor has  found natural reserves of sand and gravel at Bloomingdale and Valley  Springs where he may purchase such material. The unit cost including  delivery from Bloomingdale and Valley Springs is $5 and $7,  respectively. After the material is brought to the site it is mixed  thoroughly and uniformly, and contract specification state that the mix  should contain a minimum of 30% sand.A total volume of 100,000 m3 of mixed material is needed  for the project. The Bloomingdale Pit contains 25% sand and the Valley  Springs Pit contains 50% sand.As the new young construction engineer on the project, you are asked  to determine how much material should be taken from each pit in order to  minimize the cost of material.

Nursing Shortage Discussion

respond to the discussion below add citations and references:A current problem in nursing is the shortage of nurses available to fill open positions needed to care for patients. The nursing shortage is a problem in Florida as there are not enough nurses to completely staff healthcare facilities, which then creates issues with covering open shifts with the available nursing staff as the nursing staff is already working longer hours and short staffed regularly, and can result in patient care not being as effective or efficient. Any time a nurse calls off, the charge nurse will call around to find another nurse who is willing to work on their day off. The benefits of a research study on the nursing shortage could help find ways to possibly increase people’s interests in a nursing career, and ways to help retain nurses at facilities and provide better care for patients at the facilities.A study conducted by Cambridge University on healthcare staffing showed having decreased numbers of nurses had the potential to cause harm. It increased the risk for patients and increased cost to the facilities from the infection data gathered. The cost to the facilities for healthcare acquired infections was higher than the cost to hire more healthcare staff, which would reduce the healthcare acquired infections (Sapatkin, 2012). Although the issue of “inappropriate staffing” has been a topic of discussion for many facilities that employ nurses, it continues to be an issue that creates a negative impact on patient care and predisposes the nurse to making medical errors (ANA, 2016). Another problem nurses encounter with overworked, understaffed nurses due to feeling rushed are back injuries from not using appropriate body mechanics and ergonomics, needle pokes, and getting sick.Urinary Tract Infections have occurred from nurses holding in their urine for long periods of time. Nurses are drawn away from bedside nursing due to the stress of being understaffed. Due to this continued problem, this issue, although studied many times already, should continue to be evaluated and studied. The study shows that having the appropriate amount of staff at healthcare facilities is beneficial to not only to the patient, but the facility also. To build upon this and complete other similar research could improve healthcare staffing in facilities in areas, such as Florida, where there are not enough nurses available to fill open positions.ReferenceSapatkin, D. Tropicália Movement A Political and Cultural Revolution in Brazilian Music Essay

You previously sent me the paper for “Essay Question about Portuguese Music” a month ago and now I have another paper just expanding on that one. I attached the original one as well. The instructions are below:1. Pick the topic of ONE of your previous response papers. You wrote two response papers thus far; you can choose which one you would like to work on again. 2. Conduct further research on the topic you addressed, by looking up further sources on the theme, namely scholarly articles or books. Note that blog posts, or Wikipedia entries are not typically peer-reviewed scholarly items, though they may refer you to actual publications of the sort, which you can consult. 3. Write a RESEARCH paper on the same topic, discussing it with not only the insights that you have gathered thus far, but also with the knowledge that emanates from your further research on the topic. Your personal insights on the theme will guide your main perspective, whereas those insights provided by the further research will complement your knowledge and main points.4.1. You are allowed to use any and all sections of the response papers you have written before: single sentences, paragraphs, full pages. For the sake of ease of work, consider whether trying to use the same essay and littering it with scattered quotations gleaned from articles will be effective, or if you are better off creating a new layout and writing anew. In any case, you should see your response paper 1 or 2 as en early draft of the main ideas conveyed, which you may follow more closely or change more substantially. 4.2. Make sure to check all of the professor’s comments and/or corrections in the response papers you choose to use as a starting point. All students will gain a number of points by addressing issues your professor corrected, using Turnitin.4.3. You can certainly make new connections to other music you have not addressed in the response paper 1 or 2, including genres or musicians discussed since.   this was the prompt topic:”The post-coup 1960s was a period of crisis for progressive forces in Brazil that provoked a critical rethinking of nationally defined cultural imperatives that were articulated in several fields of artistic production, particularly in popular music. In 1967-1968 two young singer-songwriters from Bahia, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, led an ephemeral, but high-impact movement known as Tropicália that appropriated local and foreign musical styles and relativized prevailing notions of authenticity in popular musicChristopher Dunn. “Tropicália, Counterculture and the Diasporic Imagination in Brazil.” Brazilian Popular Music & Globalization. PC Computer Science Sentiment Analysis and Clustering Questions

I’m stuck on a Computer Science question and need an explanation. Question 1: Understanding people’s emotions is essential for businesses as technology allows customers to express their thoughts and feelings more openly than ever before. By automatically analyzing customer feedback from survey responses to social media conversations, brands are able to listen attentively to their customers, and tailor products and services to meet their needs. Below are the results of a sentiment analysis that analyzed over 4,000 online product reviews across 5 dimensions. Compare and contrast customers’ sentiment when considering only the Customer Service and Pricing dimensions? Question 2: On April 9th, 2017, United Airlines forcibly removed a passenger from an overbooked flight. The incident was filmed by other passengers on their smartphones and immediately posted to social media. One of the videos, posted to Facebook, was shared more than 87,000 times and viewed 6.8 million times just 24 hours later. This debacle was magnified by the company’s initial (and dismissive) response. On Monday afternoon, United Airlines tweeted a statement from the CEO apologizing for “having to re-accommodate customers”. Cue public outrage – you can imagine the field day on Twitter. How could have United Airlines used sentiment analysis in the immediate aftermath of the incident to help inform and/or shape their initial response? Question 3: Question 1 shows the results of a sentiment analysis conducted on product reviews. Sentiment is assessed in each of 5 dimensions. There is something not mentioned in Question 1 – the dimensions where derived using cluster analysis. Describe the cluster identification process that could have been used discover the dimensionality of the products. Question 4: A small law firm is preparing for an important trial. From experience, firm management knows that their case will be assigned to 1 of 10 different judges. The firm knows that preparing a trial strategy for a specific judge is of paramount importance and is highly correlated with a successful outcome. However, the firm has finite resources and cannot possibly prepare 10 unique strategies. Each of the judges has been ranked (a numerical assessment on a scale of 1 to 7) in several dimensions such as legal sophistication, making instantaneous evidentiary decisions, rigorous intellectual analysis, etc. How could the firm use cluster analysis to reduce the number of trial strategies that they need to prepare? Question 5:The daily expenditures on food (X1) and clothing (X2) of five people are shown in the following table. Cluster analysis results of these individuals’ expenditures on food and clothing are in the following graph. Based on the table and cluster analysis results, please explain which individuals are more similar to each other and how would you explain the overall cluster analysis results.
