Overview
Using the same scenario from Identifying the Organizational Learning Issue, you realize that transitioning your organization to a learning environment may not be as easy as first imagined. You have encountered several resistance issues relating to the culture, psychological learning, organization structure, workforce commitment, and dissemination of knowledge. You decide to gather a decision-making team to assist in identifying the high or moderate resistance risks that may stop or slow down the process of this transition. The decision-making team must also recommend some mitigation intervention to lower the identified resistance risks to either moderate or low. For example, a high resistance risk can become moderate or low, and a moderate resistance risk can become low.
Your final product will be a table that identifies five issues related to the organization’s culture, psychological learning, organization structure, workforce commitment, and dissemination of knowledge. You must also provide a description of each resistance issue and rate the resistance risk before the mitigation intervention as either High (H) or Moderate (M). Then, you must provide a description of your team’s mitigation intervention and determine the resistance risk’s downgrade from High (H) to Moderate (M) or Low (L) and/or Moderate (M) to Low (L) after the mitigation intervention.
Instructions
Create a table in which you:
Determine one challenge in the culture that may cause a major resistance to the transition from individual learning to organizational learning. Next, recommend one mitigation intervention to downgrade the identified resistance in your table. Provide a rationale for your selected mitigation intervention.
Predict one psychological learning threat that may result from the transition and then provide one mitigation intervention to downgrade the identified resistance in your table. Provide a rationale for your selected mitigation intervention.
Assess the current organizational structure as it relates to the free flow of knowledge, then specify one issue that may cause major resistance to the transition. Provide one mitigation intervention to downgrade the identified resistance in your table. Provide a rationale for your selected mitigation intervention.
Critique the workforce commitment to this transition and predict one major resistance you may encounter. Next, provide a mitigation intervention to downgrade the identified resistance in your table. Provide a rationale for your selected mitigation intervention.
Propose one dissemination of knowledge issue with the recipients’ ability to absorb the knowledge and comprehend it into action (that is, motivating the recipient to share knowledge). Next, provide one mitigation intervention to downgrade the identified resistance in your table. Provide a rationale for your selected mitigation intervention.

Create a table to identify transition resistance risks and an intervention to mitigate each.

Nursing is a broad-spectrum field of study offering a variety of career choices to choose from the perspective of students. Once a bachelor’s degree in nursing is obtained and a registered nursing license is granted more possibilities present themselves including higher education. Continuation of studies resulting in the completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree will yield an advanced practice nurse (APN). Some APN careers do not require the passing of any certification examinations. An example would be the nurse administrator. However, the nurse practitioner (NP) is a type of APN that does require the passing of a certification examination. There are several types of NP specialties including Primary Care, Psychiatry, and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), and each one has its own certification examination to pass. In this discussion, we will identify their similarities, and differences, as well as dissect each one in the eyes of a healthcare provider and a consumer.

In this discussion, we will identify their similarities, and differences, as well as dissect each one in the eyes of a healthcare provider and a consumer.
In the eyes of a healthcare provider, the primary care NP role includes the provision of health promotion, disease prevention, and the provision of chronic and acute health care. This specialty of NPs can diagnose, treat, and manage all different types of health conditions. Common chronic diseases they are faced with on a daily basis include diabetes, heart disease, dementia, and obesity. Primary NPs also provide other services as well including physical examinations, routine screenings, and vaccinations.  In full authority states, NPs may work independently to do this, however, in restricted authority states NPs must work under the supervision of a medical doctor. A recent systematic review concluded that primary care delivered by NPs is associated with a decreased risk of preventable hospitalization for many chronic diseases (Poghosyan et al., 2018). Surveys reveal higher patient satisfaction when patients are cared for by NPs rather than by physicians. In the eyes of a healthcare provider, the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) role includes providing care to those with mental health challenges. Common psychological illnesses assessed, diagnosed, and treated by this type of APN include anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, addiction, and bipolar. Previous studies in somatic health care revealed that patients find nurse practitioners reliable, helpful, and empathic and feel empowered, at peace, and in control when cared for by PMHNPs (van Dusseldorp et al., 2023). Lastly, in the eyes of a healthcare provider, a CNM role includes the provision of prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care. Patients who desire more emotional support usually choose a CNM as they tend to be more holistic. They are required to be in the low-risk pregnancy category to do so, however. High-risk pregnancies are required to be seen by the OB-GYN.
Similarities of the above-discussed APNs are that they all assess, diagnose, and treat. As advocates for their patients, they all must excel in active listening, communication, and empathy. Differences between the above-discussed APNs would be their patient populations and duties. Also, their work environments are completely different. The primary care NP may work in clinics or nursing homes, the PMHNP may work in a treatment center or behavioral health clinic, and the CNM may work in birthing centers or even homes.

As a financial consultant, you have contracted with Wheel Industries to evaluate their procedures involving the evaluation of long term investment opportunities.  You have agreed to provide a detailed report illustrating the use of several techniques for evaluating capital projects including the weighted average cost of capital to the firm, the anticipated cash flows for the projects, and the methods used for project selection.  In addition, you have been asked to evaluate two projects, incorporating risk into the calculations. You have also agreed to provide an 8-10 page report, in good form, with detailed explanation of your methodology, findings, and recommendations. Company Information Wheel Industries is considering a three-year expansion project, Project A.  The project requires an initial investment of $1.5 million. The project will use the straight-line depreciation method. The project has no salvage value. It is estimated that the project will generate additional revenues of $1.2 million per year before tax and has additional annual costs of $600,000.  The Marginal Tax rate is 35%. Required: Wheel has just paid a dividend of $2.50 per share. The dividends are expected to grow at a constant rate of six percent per year forever. If the stock is currently selling for $50 per share with a 10% flotation cost, what is the cost of new equity for the firm? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this type of financing for the firm? The firm is considering using debt in its capital structure. If the market rate of 5% is appropriate for debt of this kind, what is the after tax cost of debt for the company? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this type of financing for the firm? The firm has decided on a capital structure consisting of 30% debt and 70% new common stock. Calculate the WACC and explain how it is used in the capital budgeting process. Calculate the after tax cash flows for the project for each year. Explain the methods used in your calculations. If the discount rate were 6 percent calculate the NPV of the project. Is this an economically acceptable project to undertake? Why or why not?

Required:

Wheel has just paid a dividend of $2.50 per share.
Now calculate the IRR for the project. Is this an acceptable project? Why or why not? Is there a conflict between your answer to part C? Explain why or why not?

Wheel has two other possible investment opportunities, which are mutually exclusive, and independent of Investment A above.  Both investments will cost $120,000 and have a life of 6 years. The after tax cash flows are expected to be the same over the six year life for both projects, and the probabilities for each year’s after tax cash flow is given in the table below.

What is the expected value of each project’s annual after tax cash flow? Justify your answers and identify any conflicts between the IRR and the NPV and explain why these conflicts may occur.
Assuming that the appropriate discount rate for projects of this risk level is 8%, what is the risk-adjusted NPV for each project? Which project, if either, should be selected? Justify your conclusions.

Patricia is researching venues for a restaurant business. She is evaluating three major attributes that she considers important in her choice: taste, location, and price. The value she places on each attribute, however, differs according to what type of restaurant she is going to start. If she opens a restaurant in a suburban area of Los Angeles, then taste is the most important attribute, three times as important as location, and two times as important as price. If she opens a restaurant in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, then location becomes three times as important as taste and two times as important as price. She is considering two venues, respectively, a steak restaurant and a pizza restaurant, both of which are priced the same. She has rated each attribute on a scale of 1 to 100 for each of the two different types of restaurants. Show all of your calculations and processes. Describe your answer for each question in complete sentences. Which of the two options should Patricia pursue if she wants to open a restaurant in a suburban area of Los Angeles? Calculate the total expected utility from each restaurant option and compare. Graph is not required. Describe your answer, and show your calculations.

Which of the two options should she pick if she plans to open a restaurant in the Los Angeles metropolitan area? Describe your answer, and show your calculations.
Which option should she pursue if the probability of finding a restaurant venue in a suburban area can be reliably estimated as 0.7 and in a metropolitan area as 0.3? Describe your reasoning and show your calculations.
Provide a description of a scenario in which this kind of decision between two choices, based on weighing their underlying attributes, applies in the “real-world” business setting. Furthermore, what are the benefits and drawbacks, if any, to this method of decision making?

Problem 2:
The demand function for Newton’s Donuts has been estimated as follows:
Qx = -14 – 54Px + 45Py + 0.62Ax           fin 20
where Qx represents thousands of donuts; Px is the price per donut; Py is the average price per donut of other brands of donuts; and Ax represents thousands of dollars spent on advertising Newton’s Donuts. The current values of the independent variables are Ax=120, Px=0.95, and Py=0.64.
Show all of your calculations and processes. Describe your answer for each question in complete sentences, whenever it is necessary.

Calculate the price elasticity of demand for Newton’s Donuts and describe what it means. Describe your answer and show your calculations.
Derive an expression for the inverse demand curve for Newton’s Donuts. Describe your answer and show your calculations.
If the cost of producing Newton’s Donuts is constant at $0.15 per donut, should they reduce the price and thereafter, sell more donuts (assuming profit maximization is the company’s goal)?
Should Newton’s Donuts spend more on advertising?

Explain how you believe human creative expression can impact issues we deal with in the present day (contemporary to your coursework, not the future scenario posed above). Be sure to be specific about the issues you are addressing.

Scenario
For the purposes of this assignment, imagine you are a researcher of human cultures, an anthropologist who is looking from the future back to our world today.here did you see the work?
What elements or characteristics stand out to you? In this position, you develop a natural curiosity about cultural works and how they represent a particular culture. You are also curious about how cultural works influence the environment in which they exist. You are new at your job, and your first project is to conduct a thorough analysis of today’s culture via a cultural work, looking to understand how it represents culture and how it reflects its cultural environment. The results of your analysis will be used to craft the copy for a brochure accompanying a museum exhibit about cultural works of the current year.
Directions
Analysis of a Cultural WorkAs an anthropologist, you will start your task by analyzing the work of human creative expression that you selected in Module Four. With this work in mind, respond to the questions below. Remember, the insights you gain here will be used to write the copy that will go in the museum exhibit brochure.
Answer the following questions:

Describe the work in detail. Consider the following:

Where did you see the work?
What elements or characteristics stand out to you?

Describe the purpose of the work. Consider the following:

What do you think the creator intended to express?
Were they successful?

Use the work to explore how acts of creative expression impact and are impacted by the people and situations that surround them. Consider the following:

What contributions does the work selected make to continuing a dialogue about that culture and the importance of its works?

State questions you have after thinking deeply about this work. What more do you want to know regarding the following?

The relationship between culture and expression: What is the relationship between the possible intent of the creator and your own interpretation of its meaning?
Explain how your values have shaped and are shaped by your expression and that of others.

Explain how you would approach answering these questions:

What would you study about this work that might address the questions you stated?
Where would you find information to address the questions?Next, draw conclusions about how the work you selected relates to the humanities:

Explain why you believe humans have a need to express themselves through created works of cultural and historical significance.

Describe a culture shift or event related to the work you selected. This could be a cultural shift that influenced the creation of the work, or it could be a cultural shift that came about because of it.
Explain how a concept or resource you encountered in this course has informed your explanation. Be sure to cite any sources used.

Explain how you think the act of human creative expression impacts and is impacted by the culture in which it was created.

Explain the relationship between human creative expression and the culture in which the work you selected was created using the insights you gained from studying it.
Explain how a concept or resource you encountered in this course has informed your explanation. Be sure to cite any sources used.

Explain how you believe human creative expression can impact issues we deal with in the present day (contemporary to your coursework, not the future scenario posed above). Be sure to be specific about the issues you are addressing.

Use the insights you gained from studying the work you selected to explain how creative expression can impact today’s issues.
Explain how a person or concept encountered in your study of the humanities has informed your explanation. Be sure to cite any sources used.

What to Submit
Your submission should be a three- to four-page Word document with 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one-inch margins. Two sources are required, one of which must be academic. Sources should be cited according to APA style. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide for more information on citations.

Describe at least one specific element that could benefit from change within your topic.Consider how your topic has been discussed and represented. What approaches could be more constructive? What could be done differently to encourage, promote, or transform your topic?

In this activity, you will analyze your topic using the general education lens you chose in the previous module in order to determine how the topic has affected institutions. During your analysis, you will also describe an element related to your topic that could benefit from change and assess the benefits and challenges associated with addressing wellness. Finally, you will analyze how modern social practices have been impacted by wellness.
Include diverse perspectives from varied sources to support your points. You should continue to gather the sources you will integrate into your project. These sources will include two resources from the module resource sections of this course and two resources that you find through your own research using the Shapiro Library. It may be beneficial to identify more than the number of sources required for the project so that you can eventually choose the most useful and credible ones. Look to the SNHU Shapiro Library for assistance in finding evidence and resources from outside the course.
You are not required to address each item below the rubric criteria, but you may use them to better understand the criteria and guide your thinking and writing.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Integrate reliable evidence from varied sources throughout your paper to support your analysis. It is important to draw from a more diverse pool of perspectives from varied sources to support the analysis. This is different from the Citations and Attributions rubric criterion.
Reliable evidence from varied sources should be interwoven throughout the paper itself, while citing and attributing sources will be represented as APA in-text citations and a reference list at the end of your work.
You will be evaluated on both criteria.
Analyze your chosen issue or event through one of the general education interdisciplinary lenses to determine its impact on various institutions.Apply the perspective of the general education lens you chose in the previous module to your topic. Then determine how the topic might affect institutions such as politics, community, family, economy, education, or market-driven organizations.
Describe at least one specific element that could benefit from change within your topic.Consider how your topic has been discussed and represented. What approaches could be more constructive? What could be done differently to encourage, promote, or transform your topic? This response is not simply your opinion but should be supported by reliable evidence.
Assess the benefit and challenges of addressing issues in wellness. What may be the positive impact of critically analyzing wellness? Conversely, what are the more difficult aspects of addressing wellness? This part refers to wellness overall and is not specifically about your project topic.
Analyze how social practices have been shaped by issues and events in wellness in modern culture. How have contemporary social practices been influenced by wellness? For example, consider practices such as communication, cultural expression, governance, or caregiving.
Submit your short paper as a 1- to 2-page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
