Which change leadership principle presents the most challenge to you? Why?

Description

• Which change leadership principle presents the most challenge to you? Why? Based on the CSI results, I am a pragmatist with conserver tendencies (Bom, 1). Therefore, my preference is that change is related to specific and fundamental problems and not just doing it for something to do (Bom, 1). I am reasonable and flexible in my approach to change and always open to new ways of doing things, but not committing too fast. My potential challenge is focusing too much on the present without considering the past and future. I can delay committing to something, waiting to see how others decide. • What steps can you take to overcome that challenge? I believe when there is a significant decision to be taken, I do like to ask others’ opinions before making the final decision, as I am a team player, and I want to ensure everyone is on the same page. To overcome this challenge, I can have a meeting where everyone discusses their ideas at once, and then a decision is made at the end of the session. In my job, I consider the past and future when making decisions; I frequently perform analyses of past performance. • What are the benefits, challenges, and limitations of leveraging operations leaders to drive broadbased organizational change? 6/11/2022 Writers Hub – Freelance Writing https://www.writershub.org/writer/orders/871323#instructions 4/6 When operations leaders drive the change, who has lived and breathed similar projects in the past, they have a greater chance of success. They know what steps need to be taken and the best time to do so. They know how to get buy-in from the workforce and succeed at the communications plan. They understand the vision and values of the organization and can ensure the change project is in line with the long-term strategies. • How can you apply what you learned about change leadership in the course in the next 6 months to increase the likelihood of success for your career? For change management decisions, it is best to have the buy-in from all levels of the organization. This method will ensure collaboration and a successful output, and that it is longer lasting. Successful change leaders can embrace the constantly changing workforce and be able to implement the change (JWI557, 2). We need to realize that change is a continual process and keep up with the fast pace of change in my workplace. I can also help educate others in my team to understand change leadership further, making it easier to implement modifications in the future.

Discuss how this knowledge has changed your perspective on strategy

The most competitive organizations in the world embrace change. First, this course has helped me to realize that the best strategy requires challenging several of our preconceptions, mainly about organizational roles and design (Penny, 2020). I also realized that implementing a system with an enterprise can be challenging. Hence, it requires a highly structured approach to coordinating the balanced scorecard. Penny (2020) adds that effective strategy requires matching a collection of business initiatives critical to successful organizational outcomes. Effective leadership is also vital in strategy implementation (Sneader & Sternfels, 2020). Great leaders help corporations to rethink their business model as they shift to full speed. Companies that adopt new strategies constantly to accommodate changes are well-equipped to face challenges while exploiting opportunities. More importantly, a business should focus on four strategic areas: accelerating digital solutions’ adoption, rethinking the organization, restructuring operations, and recovering revenue (Sneader & Sternfels, 2020). In an interview with MIT Leadership Center (2017), Donald Sull recommends companies engage with explicit experimentation, mainly testing simple rules to determine ones that work and prioritize them over others. How your new skills might be helpful for your career trajectory: The skills I have acquired in strategy implementation will be vital for securing and retaining a great job. Corporations constantly seek talent to promote their strategic continuity planning, resource allocation, workforce development, and reward strategy development. I will venture into precise experimentation to help my organization advance in critical areas, including building a highly motivated workforce. My skills will also apply in helping my firm thrive in a rapidly changing business world. Learning from the Covid-19 pandemic, it is clear that organizations should not only plan for uncertainties but also be highly flexible to accommodate any changes. Therefore, I believe I 6/11/2022 Writers Hub – Freelance Writing https://www.writershub.org/writer/orders/871318#instructions 4/5 will be a great asset to my organization. MIT Leadership Center.
