CASE STUDY:
Title: tony hsieh at zappos structure culture and change ( this is the case study to use and read ver it, before starting the ppt)
Theories: The theories are to be used as an application while adding to the instruction
Instructions: (your creating a ppt) to include the following while choosing one theory from the 7 POLS so each POL (choose 1 theory that best suit the scenario and apply it)
- Demonstrate competencies as a consultant within the fields of Business Psychology or Organizational Leadership using the POL
- Demonstrate an understanding of the history/problem and culture of the client organization and its relevance to the case.
- Identify and evaluate critical decisions made in the evolution of the case.
- Clarify the impact of past decisions on the current state of the client.
- Do not spend the majority of the presentation retelling the case – set the stage in 5 minutes or less.
- Provide recommendations for next steps, rationale for those steps, projected outcome, and a timeline. This would include such things as the desired culture, leadership roles, employees and their development. What should be retained from the existing organization, and what should be created or recreated as new? What role should leader(s) have going forward?
- Throughout recommendations, demonstrate a general understanding of organizational dynamics and concepts.
- A professionalpresentation, as if you were in a real client’s office. You are addressing the faculty as if they are the clients. Make your proposal in PowerPoint to the client, identifying and addressing client needs. This includes recommendations to client for next steps. Note: You are not pitching your consulting company in this presentation; you are analyzing the client’s situation and proposing a solution based on what you know from the case. A proposal to gather more information as the only solution is not an appropriate solution for this assignment.

- Limit slides to 10 slides or less
In addition to choosing/addressing 1 BEST theory under the POL from each POL category please ensure you mention in the ppt from the case study (about training/coaching (if applicable) and any theories applied to minimizing resistance to change in an organization ( ex: ADKAR MODEL)
