What did you hear that in the music that you might not have understood or picked out before?

For this writing assignment, you are to reflect on the ways that your study of the musical concepts and ideas that shape music from Unit 1, has influenced the way you have listened to and understood the music of Unit 2) Middle Ages through the Baroque. What did you hear that in the music that you might not have understood or picked out before? What information from Unit 1 was the most helpful for understanding Unit 2. What was the least helpful? These questions are for guidance, and you don’t have to address them specifically, unless you are having a hard time coming up with things to write about. You may speak to specific examples or more general terms. This is a space for you to express yourself regarding this music. Take advantage of that opportunity and write something you are proud of.
