Prolong high dose of corticosteroids use may results in sytemic effects including growth retardation and clinically significant adrenal suppression.

 

In the case of paradoxical bronchospasm may occour with an immediate increase inwheezing and shortness of breath. This should be treated immediatialy wita fast-acting inhaled bronchodilator.
