Paper details:

A 5 – 10 minute performance staging the politics of your/a/the “body,” which you will post publicly to our Canvas site. Please check out your classmates’ work! This assignment will be graded PASS/FAIL (i.e. you will receive full marks for completing it). I will briefly respond to your performances publicly via Canvas. One good way to begin is to locate a burning question that you have about the/a/your body – or embodiment more generally. Once you have that question firmly in your mind, begin to reflect on how you might answer, respond to, reflect on, express, or explore that question through a short performance. Will you use movement? Voice? Original text? Found text? Music? Dance? Stillness? In other words, how can you work creatively to work though this question you’ve developed?
