You have been employed as a consultant on a building project. Your role is to advise the client on how they can increase the value of their development by the use of Building Information Modelling. You have been asked to submit a report detailing the different aspects of BIM and how it can help the company become more profitable in the future. The report must include the following:

1. Discuss what BIM in construction means incorporating local, national and global developments. Your report should include key terms used within the construction industry regarding BIM. Why is BIM so important to the construction industry? Critically Analyse its effect on the capitol phase and the operational phase.
2. Describe the basic concepts surrounding Building Information Modelling. Discuss key themes and explain the terms that support a project. Analyse ways in which BIM on a building project can be utilised. Create a BIM execution plan and critically analyse it regarding hoe BIM dimensions can influence various elements on a building project.
3. Discuss the differences between BIM and its associated outcomes and traditional forms of construction information showing how collaborative working can aid the BIM process. Analyse how a project outcome for the design team can be informed by BIM in comparison to a traditional method. Assess positive outcomes achieved by using BIM.
4. Assess ways in which the design and construction process of an asset influences the way it is managed and maintained, showing how the process can result in positive outcomes for the asset owner when compared to traditional methods. Include how information is created and managed through the various stages, analysing how this is done. Explain the different roles that are required for a BIM-enabled project, evaluating what is successfully required to deliver a BIM project.
