Assignment title: Understanding Stress and Wellbeing

 

In your assignment you should:

 

Complete both tasks to ensure you meet all the Learning Outcomes in the assignment.

 

Task 1: Case Study (LO: 1 & 3)

 

Write an 800 word (+/- 10%) case study where you identify a fictitious individual.

Ensure that you include:

·       Stress and stressors on this individual

·       The effects of stress on the individual

·       Compare and contrast at least two techniques used to manage stress.

 

Task 2: Discussion (LO: 2 & 4)

 

Firstly, you will need to lead a group seminar where you each present the key ideas around your case study client discussed in Task 1 and discuss these case studies as a wider group. You may wish to complete a small handout (which can be used as evidence for study skills) to use within this group-based seminar.

 

Secondly, you will then take part in a group discussion where need to outline at least two models of stress and apply to your individuals’ experiences of stress. You must include an evaluation of the models ensuring you have a balanced argument that you support with academic research.

 

Lastly your group discussion you need to outline at least two measures of stress and apply to how this can be used to measure your individuals’ stress. You must include an evaluation of the measures ensuring you have a balanced argument that you support with academic research and can apply to whether this may be an effective measure for your client.

 

  • You will need to bring to the discussion a prepared set of notes (800 words) where you outline the points you intend to make within the discussion. These notes are to aid your discussion and need to be written in a format appropriate for this. They must be submitted as evidence of your preparation and fully referenced.

 

  • Your lecturer will also complete an observation form during the discussion. This will provide evidence regarding the concepts/issues you addressed, the extent to which you contributed and your level of understanding/ application of knowledge and communication skills.

Your assignment must be in 12 pt. font, with double line spacing throughout. You must include a footer which has your name, your student ID and page numbers on and an assignment front cover with your name, date, assignment title and word count on.
