Detail one or two concepts that you found particularly interesting, explain why, and how it could apply to your career or your current work experiences.
This is your chance to give detailed feedback and earn course credit doing it. My “vision” is to provide the most useful and fun course possible while maintaining a standard of rigor. I’d like you to do two things, and then let the class discussion develop around this.
1. Detail one or two concepts that you found particularly interesting, explain why, and how it could apply to your career or your current work experiences. Be specific about an issue or issues you might face, have faced, or are currently facing.
2. Tell me which elements you think worked well (i.e., “the good stuff”) and which elements you would recommend changes to (i.e., “the stuff that needs adapting”) for future semesters of this course.
(NOTE: This is separate from the Course Evaluations, since there is very little space there to provide specific
recommendations. Please complete the Course Evaluations, however, because it is critical to our
department’s standards and my own personal feedback for this course and as an instructor.)
Remember,
the discussion deadline is for your INITIAL POST. You should also COMMENT on 2+ peers’ posts before the discussion closes to have a chance at earning the maximum score. Most people earn about 80-90% on discussion posts. Discussion grading is inherently subjective. If you score in the 80+% range, you’re doing great.
