In particular, team building, in particular, is one of their specialty areas. For your applied project, you will help develop team-building resources for the consulting company (i.e., a literature review). The remaining sections below provide more information about what the project entails.

Over the past two decades, many organizations have shifted to team-based structures to address important changes in the competitive environment and to enhance their overall effectiveness.  In fact, only 38% of all organizations and 24% of large organizations remain functionally organized (Deloitte University Press, 2016). This is primarily because teams enable organizations to become adaptive, diverse in skill set, and faster in responding to issues and challenges. The fact that work teams need to grow and adapt quickly highlights our need to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
