International Strategic Alliance Exploration

Strategic alliances can create new opportunities for expansion for businesses. Your task in this exploration is to find your own example of a currently existing (active within the last year) international strategic alliance, and examine the impact of the pros and cons for the companies.

  • In your initial post please briefly introduce the strategic alliance you found (no more than one paragraph), and then discuss the pros and cons.

Scenario

After reviewing the new proposed vision from Healthy Dynamics that includes updated mission, focus area, and objectives, the CEO has decided to contract a project manager. The project manager understands the importance of identifying stakeholders early in the strategic planning process. The project manager will be responsible for the successful start of the planning strategy, implementation, review, control, and evaluation of the strategic plan. Other tasks include: gathering feedback from stakeholders, identifying areas of improvement, and making recommendations.

The project manager has asked you to provide a strategy map, identifying key stakeholders involved in achieving the objectives of the defined focus area. Some of the major stakeholders in the healthcare industry are physicians, employers, insurance companies, pharmaceutical firms, government agencies, and consumers (e.g., patients and employees). You will also need to make a list of relevant questions to solicit feedback from the stakeholders that will allow you to see where stakeholders stand when evaluated by the same key measures (survey questions).

Instructions

Design a Strategy Map (data table) using Microsoft Word that includes:

  • Identifying the key stakeholders.
  • What business or health industry does the stakeholder represent (e.g., wellness, pharmacy, health plans, non-profit, academia, etc.)?
  • What are the stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities as it relates to the strategic plan?
  • Indicate how often you will meet with the stakeholders.
  • What type of power (e.g., financial, providers, users, influencers) will the stakeholder have in the success of the strategic plan?
  • Include a timeline to show when you will engage each stakeholder.

Create a Stakeholder Survey that includes:

  • Key questions to solicit feedback from stakeholders after your first meeting (both quantitative and qualitative) to identify potential solutions to anticipated issues that may be raised by the stakeholders?
  • Questions should be aimed at how to improve the effectiveness of the stakeholder meetings and the satisfaction of the stakeholders during the planning process?
  • Your assignment should include a title page, a reference page, and a minimum of three scholarly sources, two of which must be retrieved from the Rasmussen Library.
Seven characteristics of a well-designed service system

Think about a service that you are familiar with, either within your own company or one your company provides, or an external service that you have used. Referring to the Service-System Design Matrix (JC13 page 222, exhibit 7.3) and the “Seven Characteristics of a Well-Designed Service System” (JC13 page 230), how could the design of the service be improved? For example, are there aspects currently provided in a face-to-face fashion that would be better provided via mail, Internet, or telephone? Why would the change be an improvement? In what ways does the service that you are thinking about exhibit characteristics that indicate that it is “well-designed”, and in what ways could changes be made to make the service more consistent with the seven characteristics? For example, is the service user-friendly, or not? 

Review global news and find an article that discusses a relationship between a single, specific microorganism

Part 1 – Initial post:

  • Review global news and find an article that discusses a relationship between a single, specific microorganism and the health of the environment where it is found ( this may include positive or negative impacts)
  • Review posts already made by your peers. Repeat topics will not count, so make sure that you do not choose a topic your peers have discussed already. ** You may Post  the first 2 steps (One sentence description of the issue and APA citation) to claim  so that someone else does not post a similar topic while you are preparing your post. You can then go to your original post, edit it, and add the remaining parts of your post.
  • Your final discussion post should be numbered or bulleted and include each of these sections in order:
    1. One sentence description of the relationship between the microorganism and the environment.
    2. APA citation of the article your read
    3. Description of the organism discussed in the article
    4. Summary of the relationship, the organisms that are affected, and the impact of the microorganism
    5. If possible, provide steps taken to mitigate or improve the relationship 

Please do not write about Fungi anything else but that.

Pros and cons of regional trade agreements

Regional trade agreements (RTAs) between two or more countries have become important institutions in the world economy (e.g., the North American Free Trade Agreement [NAFTA], the European Union [EU], and the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement [AFTA]). Evaluate the different types of RTAs. What are the main functions of RTAs? Are RTAs stepping stones or obstacles of the trading system? Discuss the pros and cons of RTAs. Are you in favor of or against RTAs? Explain your reasoning.
