Product and service design ( discussion )

When the capacity of an organization to produce goods or services and the demands of its customers to purchase goods or services is not matched, then the result is inefficiency, either in under-utilized resources or dissatisfied customers. Address the following requirements:

  • Choose a Saudi Arabian organization that produces either a good or service and describe its capacity and demand concerns.
  • Develop an equation to calculate its capacity.
  • Define lead strategy, lag strategy, and match strategy, and recommend which your selected organization should pursue and why.

Embed course material concepts, principles, and theories, which require supporting citations along with at least one scholarly, peer-reviewed reference in supporting your answer. Keep in mind that these scholarly references can be found in the Saudi Digital Library by conducting an advanced search specific to scholarly references. You are required to reply to at least two peer discussion questions and post answers to this weekly discussion question and/or your instructor’s response to your posting. These post replies need to be substantial and constructive in nature. They should add to the content of the post and evaluate/analyze that post answer. Normal course dialogue doesn’t fulfill these two peer replies but is expected throughout the course. Answering all course questions is also required.

Scenario: You are a juvenile corrections officer tasked with making recommendations to a judge for a juvenile’s entire course of treatment. You can advise on the sanctions they should receive; the components of their correctional treatment; the programs, training, or institutions that should assist them; any alternatives or special conditions to consider; and terms for their aftercare and transition back into the community.

Write a 525- to 700-word correctional dispositional plan for a juvenile.

Choose 1 of the following juveniles to use as an example case study for this week’s assignment:

Complete the following in your recommended plan for the juvenile:

  • Summarize the outcome of the adjudication process and the disposition in this case.
  • Describe the treatment of the juvenile in this situation.
  • Explain how law enforcement and the courts might have interacted differently with this person as a juvenile than if he or she had been an adult.
  • Explain the risk factors that need to be considered in the assessment of this juvenile.
  • Explain how the combination of factors considered in this case were connected and influenced the original outcome, if at all.
  • List any additional information you would like to have before considering other correctional treatments for the juvenile.
  • Recommend 2 alternative correctional strategies for this juvenile: 1 that includes a correctional program that exists in your state and 1 other potential option.
  • Explain how you could monitor, measure, report, and support the juvenile’s progress through treatment.
  • Justify your plan with evidence that supports your recommendations.

Discuss how this Stimulus Plan for high speed rail will not work

APA 7

Must show derivations

1.In the United States, today’s urban transportation planning process is being impacted by the President’s Stimulus Plan. High speed rail is one such option to congestion along the highways of urban areas. These projects have two sides to them. There are those who support high speed rail and those who do not support high speed rail. You have been chosen to not support the Stimulus Plan for use of high speed rail to ease congestion. Your task is to help decision makers make up their minds. So, you are now on the opposing side. Discuss how this Stimulus Plan for high speed rail will not work. You can use any reference. But, you must also present your opinion based on facts and data, not just because you don’t like it. You will have to provide evidence to back up what you believe is a bad idea.

2. Most (97 percent) roads and streets in the United States are under the jurisdiction of State and local governments. The Federal jurisdiction is mainly limited to National Parks, National Forests, and other government-owned land. Discuss what issues and problems might be common between the Federal jurisdiction and the State and Local governments, and what issues and problems might be unique to the Federal government compared to the State and local governments. List the common and unique attributes and provide a brief explanation to support your choice. Use references in APA format and also offer your own opinion on what you think of these issues and problems.

3. The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) went into effect on January 1, 1994. This sweeping agreement is designed to open the borders separating Canada, Mexico, and the United States to the free exchange of goods and services. There are many pros and cons of NAFTA that have emerged since 1994. The future of NAFTA is in the wind these days. It may fail or succeed for the next ten years. You job is to help Congress and other decision makers to decide what course of action they should take regarding NAFTA’s future. You are to take the side that NAFTA is a bad business investment; you are to represent the “con” side of the argument. So, discuss why you would defeat or destroy NAFTA or morph it from its current state to some other new state.

4. In early 1990s with a second wave of low-cost carriers (LCCs), which led to the second period of strong traffic growth from early 1993 through early 2000, Southwest Airlines arguably provided the blueprint for U.S. Between 2006 and 2009 a fuel crisis happened and a recession for business and the transportation industry. What is the impact today on LCC’s in order to be competitive in this economy coming on the heels of this recession?

Healthcare Technology: Local, National, and Global Considerations

Topic : Healthcare Technology: Local, National, and Global Considerations

Imagine  that you are a public health nurse, and you and your colleagues have  determined that the threat of a deadly new strain of influenza indicates  a need for a mass inoculation program in your community. What public  health data would have been used to determine the need for such a  program? Where would you locate public health data? What data will be  collected to determine the success of such a program? How might you  communicate this to other communities or internationally?

Identify a health issue in or around your community and a vulnerable population that is particularly affected by it.

Evidence-Based Policy/Program Change Proposal

Your presentation should be 6–8 slides with speaker notes included. The speaker notes should represent what you would say during your presentation. It should not restate the content of the slides.

  1. Identify a health issue in or around your community and a vulnerable population that is particularly affected by it. (1 slide) OBESITY AND PREGNANCY IN THE US ARMY
    1. Identify your population using multiple demographics (e.g., Heightened pregnancy rates of African-American teenage girls living in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit).
  2. Propose a change to the program that involves a one advocacy type and one advocacy strategy. (1–2 slides)
    1. Indicate what changes you would expect to see once your proposal is implemented. Use statistics, evidence, and your SWOT analysis results to support your decision.
    2. Proposed changes to the program should be culturally sensitive to the population identified.
  3. Identify at least one professional organization that you could partner with to implement the changes. (1 slide)
    1. Explain why the professional organization would be a good fit as a partner. For example, analyze the goals of different organizations and find one that shares goals that are similar to yours.
  4. Develop a brief action plan to show how the programmatic changes could be implemented. (2–3 slides)
    1. Access the Community Tool Box resource at https://ctb.ku.edu/en/table-of-contents/structure/strategic-planning/develop-action-plans/tools
      1. Within this resource, there are action plan guides for different types of programs and policies. Select the one that pertains most to your proposal.
    2. Your action plan should list basic steps and requirements. The details of those steps can be described in the speaker notes section. Ensure that your speaker notes throughout are clear and represent a verbal presentation, not a repeat of the material found on the slides.
