Overview

The purpose of this research proposal/presentation assignment is to provide students the opportunity to present and justify the need to study a particular research problem and present practical ways in which the proposed study should be conducted. The research proposal will be comprised of an introduction, literature review, and methodology section. This is a research proposal, NOT a traditional “research paper.” You will be proposing a research study, pretending like you are the principal investigator/researcher. You do not actually have to conduct the study; however, this assignment may serve as a springboard for your practicum/capstone courses within your program of study.

Instructions

Students will select a research topic, preferably during the first week of the course.

Research topic is: Eating Disorders in Rural Area Adolescents

Research Proposal: Introduction Assignment

Introduce the research problem and provide background information on the research problem. The introduction does not need to be lengthy. Remember to cite your content and include at least
two relevant references. Be sure to include the cover page consisting of title, author, contact information, and affiliations. The title should include the variables being studied. This could be accomplished in as few as 9 words-though more or fewer might work. Include the remaining components: Background of the Problem, Statement of the Problem, Purpose of the Study, Research Objectives, Hypothesis, and any Operational Definitions.

Research Proposal: Literature Review Assignment

This section justifies why the proposed study should be conducted based off evidence from the literature. The literature review starts with a broad focus and then narrows down. The review should justify your study idea and provide an in-depth review of the existing literature. Your Literature Review Matrix is helpful with organizing this literature review. Discuss hypotheses, methods, results, study limitations or strengths that you find in Eating Disorders in Rural Area Adolescents

You suspect the pain reported as coming from the elbow and radiating down the forearm is caused by repetitive motions, perhaps indicating lateral epicondylitis. What can you do to confirm this diagnosis?

musculoskeletaldiscussion.docx

Topic: Musculoskeletal Complaint

Case Study

A 41-year-old male patient presents at the community walk-in clinic with complaints of severe elbow pain radiating into the forearm. His 13-year-old daughter is serving as a translator because her father cannot speak English and understands only a few words in English. The daughter explains that he has been taking Tylenol® to manage pain, but the pain is getting worse and is keeping him from working. You ask the daughter to describe the type of work her father does, and you notice she is hesitant to respond, first checking with her father. He responds, and she translates that he works in construction. Based on the response and the apparent concern, you suspect that the patient may be an undocumented worker. Further conversation reveals that several family members are working with the same local construction company.
Please post your responses to the following questions in the Unit 9 Discussion Board.

Case Questions

1. You suspect the pain reported as coming from the elbow and radiating down the forearm is caused by repetitive motions, perhaps indicating lateral epicondylitis. What can you do to confirm this diagnosis?
2. While performing the physical examination, you ask the patient, through his daughter, if he has reported this injury to his employer because the injury is most likely work-related. The daughter responded without consulting her father that this is an old injury that happened before he started working at his current place of employment. You could tell that she was becoming more distressed. What is the most likely explanation for her concern?
3. Visual inspection reveals erythema around the affected area with no evidence of overlying skin lesions, scars, or deformities. What other assessments should you perform?
4. What would be the differential diagnoses? The main diagnosis? How is this condition treated?

Investigate a global health issue and examine the SDG that informs strategies surrounding the selected issue.

PurposeGlobal health is influenced by a number of factors, including access to resources, globalization, and an increasingly mobile society. Across the world, the health of individuals and populations share common concerns as a result of this interconnectedness. The United Nations established Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to target key determinants of health to reduce global health disparity and promote health equity for all.The purpose of this assignment is to Investigate a global health issue and examine the SDG that informs strategies surrounding the selected issue. Factors that influence the issue will be analyzed, and efforts aimed at addressing the issue will be examined locally and globally. Implications for advanced nursing practice will be identified.A printed version of these assignment guidelines is available below.NR561 Module 1 Global Health Issue Assignment Guidelines and RubricLinks to an external site.* on the course home page.Course Learning OutcomesThrough this assignment, the student will address the following course learning outcomes:CO 1: Describe the relationship between globalization, health status, and healthcare delivery. Assuming you are planning to work in the Northern Virginia area after graduation.  There are some resources to prepare you for this.  This week’s discussion is about planning for your future.
1. 1.  Review the 2022 Labor Market: https://www.nvcc.edu/osi/labor-market/_docs/23-001-IndexSurveyReport22-final-web.pdfLinks to an external site.
2.  2. Download and read/review the Greater Washington Technology Workforce Needs Assessment report.  Although it is dated 2018, I think you can still learn about what cybersecurity employers are looking for in potential employees. You can plan and prioritize your training, certification, and education.

Part I:  Executive Summary for Mr Scott
Mr Scott wants to hire the best candidates for Techworx. He has asked you and the HR department to review these documents (You do not have the read the entire reports but this may be helpful to keep as a reference in the future).
What does he need to know and what surprised you in this report?
Part II: Assume you graduate in six months. Look at some online job offerings. Find two that you would be interested in interviewing for and post a summary of the job (do not copy the entire offer). Look at the requirements of the job in terms of education, certifications, and experience.
Part III:  Based on your research, what are some areas that you will improve before graduating?  (consider two).
The purpose of this week’s discussion is to really help yourself.
Part IV:  CTF code is integrity. Please give an update on where you stand on the CTF.

Questions | Science homework help

Listed below are questions.
1)You want to update your car with a navigation system. Adding this feature requires a flat fee of $500, and the service provider requires monthly charges of $20. In your business, as the owner, you estimate that this device can save time and money, about $35 per month. You plan to keep the car for another 3 years.

Calculate the break-even point for the device in months.
Based on your calculation, would you have the system installed in your car? Why, or why not?
Discuss with your fellow students how and why similar break-even analysis may be applicable in health care organizations.

If no initial posts exist to allow for a response to be made, you may submit an additional initial post addressing another aspect of the unit topic.
2)As a consumer, do you conduct any research on a healthcare facility or a provider before choosing to utilize them for you or your family’s healthcare needs? Do you think tools like Hospital Compare are enough to help consumers make healthcare decisions? What other sources or types of measurement do you think would help inform your decision as a consumer?
If no initial posts exist to allow for a response to be made, you may submit an additional initial post addressing another aspect of the unit topic.
3)You are a community health educator in the Southwest United States. Your county health department received a grant to create a new initiative that is designed to decrease smoking rates in the county. Your health commissioner and Board of Health want to create a team of teachers, parents, community leaders, and public health professionals to develop an intervention.
Discuss which cognitive and affective methods you believe would be useful for this purpose, and why? Give specific examples as you explain your rationale.

How to perform a non-mathematical factor analysis of people’s personality traits.

How to perform a non-mathematical factor analysis of people’s personality traits. This is a simulation of what scientists do (with computers, numbers, and math) to come up with a bunch of traits that do not correlate with one another. Factor analysis is how psychologists came up with the “big five” of traits. The traits should be “enduring characteristics that describe” that person and while a person does not need to always display that trait, the trait applies to him/her most of the time. For example, you may have the trait of extraversion, but don’t act like an extrovert all of the time.
