Medical terms are in the news and more a part of our daily lives than we realize. Identify 20 medical terms.

Medical terms are in the news and more a part of our daily lives than we realize. Identify 20 medical terms. Your assignment is to review several daily mainstream Internet news sites (i.e. Foxnews.com, CNN.com, MSNBC.com, KOMO, etc.) and find recent articles that discuss topics related to the fields of medicine and/or health science. Look for health or health care on the new site’s banner. You may also search daily newspapers for articles but avoid journals or sites that simply gather articles for review. This assignment demonstrates how often medical terms are in the daily news, so focus on sources that provide that perspective.
As you read through the articles you will collect the following information.
Articles, or references, from at least 3 mainstream INTERNET DAILY NEWS websites (more may be required based on the number of terms found in each). Make certain your terms come from daily news sites. As a reminder, journals, research oriented or health care focused websites such as Science Daily or the New England Journal of Medicine are not mainstream daily news sources.
Identify 20 medical terms. Select terms similar to those you have been studying. Avoid complex terms such as those related to chemicals. Also avoid “common” terms such as fever, cough, organ A good example of a medical term is pericardium.
Break the terms down into word elements. An example is pericardium which is breaks down into peri cardi um.
Categorize the word elements. An example of categorizing the elements is prefix peri, suffix um, word root/combining form cardi which is a word root.
Define the word elements. An example of defining word elements is peri means around, um means structure, tissue or thing and cardi means heart.
Provide the medical definition of the term. An example is the pericardium is the membranous sac that surrounds and encloses the heart and includes the bases of the great vessels.
Your work can be submitted as list, a PowerPoint presentation, or formatted as a table. Many find using a table helps organize the material. An example is provided for your review. Submit your assignment, along with a minimum of 3 sources from which you took your terms. Please use a doc or docx or ppt format for submission. Do not use EXCEL
Post your submission via the posting link found in module). Don’t forget to include your sources (a MINIMUM of 3!) Please wait until you learn about word construction and word elements before completing this assignment.
I will also be looking for:
Proper spelling of terms.
Neatness in formatting, listings, etc.
Accuracy in regards to the breakdown of the terms.
Proper categorizing of components.
Correct definitions of word elements and the terms.
Inclusion of your 3 (or more) references
This assignment is worth a possible 100 points and may be submitted at any time during your enrollment in BTECM 150 after you complete the first four chapters of the text. Failure to comply with the above-stated criteria will result in lost points.
Please contact me with any questions concerning this assignment.
I have attached my word document as I have a lot of the words and links to three articles she recommended we add in for our sources. I just need the words finished with their pre fix suffix word root etc.

Select one quantitative study that you have identified in your quality improvement problem and purpose statement assignment and answer the following questions embedded in the Guidelines for Critiquing Data Collection Plans in Quantitative Studies: Was the collection of data using structured methods (in contrast with unstructured methods) consistent with the study aims? Were the right methods used to collect the data (self-report, observation, etc.)? Was triangulation of methods used appropriately? Should supplementary data collection methods have been used to enrich the data available for analysis?

Select one quantitative study that you have identified in your quality improvement problem and purpose statement assignment and answer the following questions embedded in the Guidelines for Critiquing Data Collection Plans in Quantitative Studies:
Was the collection of data using structured methods (in contrast with unstructured methods) consistent with the study aims?
Were the right methods used to collect the data (self-report, observation, etc.)? Was triangulation of methods used appropriately? Should supplementary data collection methods have been used to enrich the data available for analysis?
Was the right amount of data collected? Were data collected to address the varied needs of the study? Was too much data collected in terms of burdening study participants—and, if so, how might this have affected data quality?
Did the researcher select good instruments, in terms of congruence with underlying constructs, data quality, reputation, efficiency, and so on? Were new instruments developed without a justifiable rationale?
Were data collection instruments adequately pretested?
Did the report provide sufficient information about data collection procedures?
Who collected the data? Were data collectors judiciously chosen, with traits that were likely to enhance data quality?
Was the training of data collectors described? Was the training adequate? Were steps taken to improve data collectors’ ability to elicit or produce high-quality data, or to monitor their performance?
Where and under what circumstances were data gathered? Was the setting for data collection appropriate?
Were other people present during data collection? Could the presence of others have resulted in any biases?
Were data collectors blinded to study hypotheses or to participants’ group status?

Reflect on what you have learned about crime, deviance, and social control. Explain your thoughts on whether all patients and people in need deserve equal treatment and care.

A few days after the visit from Jeff, you are again at work in the community center. Today a woman comes to the center. She wants to visit the public health clinic. You approach her and she tells you she has come for medicine. After you direct her to the clinic, one of your co-workers tells you that the woman is a drug addict and is HIV-positive. Your co-worker comments that this woman has been in jail multiple times for prostitution and drug possession. The co-worker states angrily, “I can’t believe we still give her medicine.” For a moment you are angry, too.
2. Initial Post: Create a new thread and answer all three parts of the initial prompt below

Reflect on what you have learned about crime, deviance, and social control. Explain your thoughts on whether all patients and people in need deserve equal treatment and care.
Many people have preconceived ideas about individuals who engage in risky or illegal behaviors (such as prostitution and drug abuse). Explain a strategy that you can use to ensure that your own personal beliefs don’t get in the way of your job response?
Describe one important characteristic that would help build a positive professional relationship between a healthcare specialist and a patient.

You have almost completed your analysis of Companies A and B and are scheduled to deliver your proposal to the board. While researching to ensure accurate and up-to-date data, you learn that two of Company B’s aircraft have been grounded over the past couple of months due to technical issues, one of which could have been an FAA safety violation. The subsequent investigations, technical repairs, and grounded flights have led to a 10% drop in their revenue over the last month. Mitigation expenses have added about $80,000 to their operating costs. Company B has also suffered negative customer feedback due to some of the ground crew’s mishandling of the situation.Describe how this news affects factors other than revenue, which will then affect the company’s value.

Describe the tools and techniques your team will use in evidence gathering, preparation, and analysis.

In this task, you can use the scenario to develop an investigative plan of action that will prepare your investigative team to conduct an analysis on the gathered evidence. After reviewing the lesson material within the Course of Study, you will be ready to start the task. First, read the task scenario to gain an understanding of what the task is asking for. Use the task requirements and rubric as a guide to develop your paper.
Introduction
As more companies store information electronically, there is an increased need for digital forensics to discover the trails of illegal or malicious acts. In this task, you will use the scenario to develop an investigative plan of action that will prepare your investigative team to conduct an analysis on the gathered evidence.
Scenario
An oil company’s senior management has reason to suspect that John Smith, one of the company’s mechanical engineers allegedly took information that was clearly identified as proprietary. The company’s legal office has requested digital evidence regarding the potential violation of company policy, which prohibits the sharing of proprietary information without prior approval. The employee was not authorized to access proprietary information. All employees sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) and acceptable use policies (AUPs). Senior management and the legal office have approved this request.
You are a member of the investigative team that has been asked to develop an investigative plan of action.
Requirements:
Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. The originality report that is provided when you submit your task can be used as a guide.
You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.
A. Create an investigative plan of action based on forensic best practices or standards that your team will implement by doing the following:
1. Discuss the strategy that your team will use to both maximize the collection of evidence and minimize the impact on the organization.
2. Describe the tools and techniques your team will use in evidence gathering, preparation, and analysis.
3. Describe how your team will collect and preserve required evidence, using standardized and accepted procedures.
4. Describe how your team will examine the seized evidence to determine which items are related to the suspected violation of company policy.
5. Discuss an approach that your team will use to draw conclusions based on the digital evidence that supports the claim of a policy violation.
6. Discuss how the case details and conclusions should be presented to senior management.
B. Acknowledge sources, using in-text citations and references, for content that is quoted, paraphrased, or summarized.
C. Demonstrate professional communication in the content and presentation of your submission.

Three  months ago, Janet Hart’s husband of twenty years died of cancer.  Although he had medical insurance, he left Janet with outstanding  medical bills of more than $50,000. Janet has worked at the local  library for the past ten years, earning $1,500 per month. Since her  husband’s death, Janet also has received $1,500 in Social Security  benefits and $1,100 in life insurance proceeds every month, giving her a  monthly income of $4,100. After she pays the mortgage payment of $1,500  and the amounts due on other debts each month, Janet barely has enough  left over to buy groceries for her family (she has two teenage daughters  at home). She decides to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, hoping for a  fresh start. How  much time does Janet have after filing the bankruptcy petition to  submit the required sched-ules? What happens if Janet does not meet the  deadline?

Steps For both Discussions:
Please remember as we discussed in the zoom session, you are debating  the DEBATE THIS  prompt. You are going to write an introductory  paragraph stating your position with 3 supporting paragraphs and then a  conclusion. Feel free to incorporate the fact pattern I gave you as an  example to help prove your point. But you do not necessarily have to  answer the questions posed. I want to see reasoned analysis and critical  thinking. There is no right or wrong answer.  Feel free to use the  internet for all supporting resources, cases, journal, articles, etc…  Make sure that you cite your sources.
1.        Debate This: Security Interests
Paul  Barton owned a small property-management company, doing business as  Brighton Homes. In October, Barton went on a spending spree. First, he  bought a Bose surround-sound system for his home from KDM Electronics.  The next day, he purchased a Wilderness Systems kayak from Outdoor  Outfitters, and the day after that he bought a new Toyota 4-Runner  financed through Bridgeport Auto. Two weeks later, Barton purchased six  new iMac computers for his office, also from KDM Electronics. Barton  bought all of these items under installment sales contracts. Six months  later, Barton’s property-management business was failing. He could not  make the payments due on any of these purchases and thus defaulted on  the loans. Using the information presented in the chapter, answer the  following questions.

For which of Barton’s purchases (the  surround-sound system, the kayak, the 4-Runner, and the six iMacs) would  the creditor need to file a financing statement to perfect its security  interest?
Suppose that Barton’s contract for the office  computers mentioned only the name, Brighton Homes. What would be the  consequences if KDM Electronics filed a financing statement that listed  only Brighton Homes as the debtor’s name?
Which of these purchases would qualify as a PMSI in consumer goods?
Suppose  that after KDM Electronics repossesses the surround-sound system, it  decides to keep the system rather than sell it. Can KDM do this under  Article 9? Why or why not?

Debate This: A financing  statement that does not have the debtor’s exact name should still be  effective because creditors should always be protected when debtors  default
2.    Debate This: Personal Bankruptcy
Using the information provided in the chapter, answer the  following questions.

Under the Bankruptcy Code after the reform act, what must Janet do before filing a petition for relief under Chapter 7?
How  much time does Janet have after filing the bankruptcy petition to  submit the required sched-ules? What happens if Janet does not meet the  deadline?
Assume  that Janet files a petition under Chapter 7. Further assume that the  median family income in the state in which Janet lives is $49,300. What  steps would a court take to determine whether Janet’s petition is  presumed to be substantial abuse under the means test?
Suppose  the court determines that no presumption of substantial abuse applies  in Janet’s case. Nevertheless, the court finds that Janet does have the  ability to pay at least a portion of the medical bills out of her  disposable income. What would the court likely order in that situation?

Debate This:Rather  than being allowed to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions, individuals  and couples should always be forced to make an effort to pay off their  debts through Chapter 13.
