QSO 511 Module Eight Memo Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
You are a new business analyst in the lending division of the Financial Charm Bank. You have been asked to create a simple prediction to determine the characteristics of customers who are no longer using the banking services.
You will use the customer churn data set to predict the Exited column using the Rattle tool. You will predict a binary outcome; this is called a classification algorithm.
For this activity, you will identify which of the many columns may help predict if a customer is considering changing their bank. The result of this analysis may provide opportunities for banking leadership to take action and retain these customers.
Prompt
Create a memo with the results of your analysis along with supporting screenshots (from Rattle) that illustrate the steps taken to create this simple prediction. Also, discuss the goals, data set, and fields used in the prediction, as well as the output of the model.
In your memo to the vice president, include the following criteria:
Describe the goals, data set, and fields to use for predictive modeling.Describe how predictive modeling can be used to determine future customer churn.
Describe the data set and fields that you will use to build your model.
Perform an initial data analysis using Rattle for the given data set and submit screenshots of the analysis. On the Data tab, identify the input and target variables.
Identify any variables you ignored.
Provide justification for your choices.
On the Explore tab, interpret Summary Statistics to describe the data.
Develop predictive modeling activities. On the Model tab, choose a predictive modeling approach, set the parameters, run the activities, and submit screenshots of the activities.
Justify your choices.
Reflect on the predictive churns and describe the steps used.Discuss the performance of the model.Review the output of the model and discuss if and how this model may be useful to predict future customer churn.
Identify if the model can be applied in the same form or potential adjustments such as model tuning are needed. Explain your reasoning.
Discuss the important columns/features used in the prediction algorithm. For explaining the prediction algorithm, first identify the important columns/features, then discuss why they are important in relation to the given data set.
These columns/features are generated in RStudio (not Rattle) in the plots pane. Include these diagrams in your memo.
Justify if this predictive modeling approach can be useful to predict customer churn.
What to Submit
Submit a 2- to 3-page Microsoft Word document using double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Include references cited in APA format. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide for more information on citations.

You will need to interview an individual a member of the culture you are studying for this semester (i.e., If you are writing your cultural communication practices paper on the culture of Peru, you would interview someone from Peru). What do you identify as the most important or distinct practices of your culture? How are gender roles addressed in your culture? How is social power, authority, or social roles in a hierarchy expressed in your culture?

For this assignment, you will need to interview an individual a member of the culture you are studying for this semester (i.e., If you are writing your cultural communication practices paper on the culture of Peru, you would interview someone from Peru).
What do you identify as the most important or distinct practices of your culture? How are gender roles addressed in your culture? How is social power, authority, or social roles in a hierarchy expressed in your culture?Ideally, you should interview someone from a different civilization (not Western Civilization) and someone who is not a Christian; this will allow you to learn about different perspectives from your own on the concepts covered in this topic. Consult with your instructor early on in the process if you are having difficulties coordinating an interview.
This interview can be in person or over the phone (some people who have emailed have found that their interviewees actually plagiarized the responses so you may use email but be very cautious and check the Similarity Score before submitting). This may be someone you know personally or that you locate through a local cultural center, club, religious organization or even an embassy or consulate. You need to obtain permission from this individual to list their contact information in your paper in the event that your instructor needs to verify your work.
During your interview you should ask the following questions:

What do you identify as the most important or distinct practices of your culture? How are gender roles addressed in your culture? How is social power, authority, or social roles in a hierarchy expressed in your culture?
In class, we learned that in “honor-oriented societies,” worth comes from one’s role or group membership and in “justice-oriented societies,” worth comes from what one does or doesn’t do. What is the role of honor/shame in your culture? Are honor/pride and dishonor/shame important concepts in your culture?

After your interview, write a 750-1000-word paper summarizing and reflecting on the responses you received. What did you learn from this exchange? How did your perceptions change? Based on your discussion, how do you think your culture is perceived by others? You should incorporate at least three concepts from Chapters 12, 13, or 14 of your textbook in your response.
You must include at least one citation. You may use the textbook or a scholarly article on honor/justice, power distance, gender roles, or cultural practices.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. A link to the LopesWrite technical support articles is located in Class Resources if you need assistance.

Hi, I need help with below as EXCEL SHEET.
There are four problems for this Module’s CT Assignment.
Problem 1
Taper Corporation is considering trading a truck with a book value of SAR 85,000 with an estimated five-year life for a new truck that would cost SAR 200,000. The old truck could be sold for SAR 75,000. The new truck has a seven-year life with no residual value. The new truck would reduce annual operating costs by SAR 20,200 per year. Required: Prepare a differential analysis on whether to continue with the old machine (Alternative 1) or purchase the new machine (Alternative 2).
Problem 2
A condensed income statement by product line for Brion Sporting Goods indicated the following for Baseball Equipment for the past year:
(All amounts in SAR)
Sales 5,400,000
Cost of goods sold 3,700,000
Gross profit 1,700,000
Operating expenses 1,850,000
Loss from operations (150,000)
It is estimated that 15% of the cost of goods sold represents fixed factory overhead costs, and that 20% of the operating expenses are fixed. Because Almond Cookies is only one of the many products, the fixed costs will not be materially affected if the product is discontinued.
Prepare a differential analysis to determine whether Baseball Equipment should be continued (Alternative 1) or discontinued (Alternative 2). Should Baseball Equipment be retained? Explain and indicate the dollar difference in favor or against.
Problem 3
Marburg Manufacturing produces various-sized plastic panels for its main product. The manufacturing cost for small bottles is SAR 200 per unit, including fixed costs of SAR 65 per unit. A proposal is offered to purchase plastic panels from an outside source for SAR 180 per unit, plus SAR 6 per unit for freight. Prepare a differential analysis to determine whether the company should make (Alternative 1) or buy (Alternative 2) for bottles, assuming fixed costs are not affected by the decision.
Problem 4
Whole milk is produced for SAR 17 per gallon. Whole milk can be sold without additional processing for SAR 24 per gallon or processed further into ice cream at an additional cost of SAR 8 per gallon. Ice cream can be sold for SAR 32 per gallon. Prepare a differential analysis on whether to sell whole milk (Alternative 1), or process further into ice cream (Alternative 2).

Select a movie from AFI’s 10 Top 10 lists and explain how three cinematic techniques and/or design elements have helped establish a major theme in that film. Describe a major theme of the movie you have selected using evidence from the movie itself as well as course resources and other scholarly sources to support your position. Identify at least three techniques (cinematography, lighting, acting style, or direction) and/or design elements (set design, costuming, or hair and makeup), and explain how these techniques and/or design elements contribute to the establishment of the theme. Reference particular scenes or sequences in your explanations.

Reference particular scenes or sequences in your explanations.
State your opinion regarding the mise en scène, including
How the elements work together.
How congruent the design elements are with the theme of the movie.
Whether or not other techniques would be as effective (Explain your reasoning).

Note: Remember that a theme is an overarching idea that recurs throughout the plot of a film. It is the distilled essence of what the film is about, the main design which the specific scenes and actions lead a viewer to understand.
Your paper should be organized around a thesis statement that focuses on how the elements of your chosen feature-length film both establish and maintain one of its major themes.
The paper must be 800 to 1200 words in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
You must use at least two scholarly sources other than the textbook to support your claims. Refer to the ENG225 Research Guide in the Ashford University Library for guidance and to locate your sources. Cite your sources (including the feature-length film) within the text of your paper and on the reference page. For information regarding APA, including samples and tutorials, visit the Ashford Writing Center.
Please note that if you opt to write about the same film in your Final Film Critique, applicable pieces of this assignment can be used to write that assignment. Please also note that you should reflect on and revise this assignment based on the instructor’s feedback before you incorporate it into the Final Film Critique.

For your initial post, write a clear, concise memo (n) that describes the contents of an annual report so marketing personnel can understand the basic requirements of an annual report. Reference this week’s readings and lecture to help organize and explain your thoughts. In addition, answer the following questions:
· Do you think all marketing staff members should be equipped to speak with the public about the firm’s financial matters?
· What are some of the benefits of improving employee financial literacy?
Part 2 Financial Statement Analysis
The financial statement analysis is due in Week 6. To help you begin your preparation of this work, select a company that you will do the analysis of. Write at least a 200 word summary identifying the firm that you selected, summarizing why you selected it, and explaining the items that a financial analyst might find useful within its Annual Report.
Additionally, read the Forbes article: “12 Lessons from the Warby Parkers Annual Report (Links to an external site.)” and explain which of these 12 lessons may apply to your company selection.

Watch this video that highlights “the Bystander Effect” by KenBrown from the University of Iowa who actually explains this phenomenon and the misunderstandings of previous events and research findings:. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufs8cKyzLvgLinks to an external site. 1. What interpretation is challenged in this video and how does he explain the finding for why people do not help in a group? 2. What advice does he give (taken from Cialdini’s research findings and advice) for when YOU need help?

Part A: This phenomenon really happens!
This short video is partially hosted by the very famous Phil Zimbardo who discusses helping behavior (or the lack thereof). The scenes in this video is unbelievable! Watch this clip and answer the questions below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4S1LLrSzVELinks to an external site.
1. What are your reactions to this video?
2. What is the explanation is given in the video for the lack of helping?
3. What factors seem to make the difference in others offering help?
Part B: ACTUAL FOOTAGE FROM LATANE AND DARLEY
This next clip includes ORIGINAL FOOTAGE of the research conducted by Latane and Darley! These individuals conducted research and found one of the most interesting set of research findings in Social Psychology related to their attempts to explain when people are less . This clip isn’t long but I want you to see these researchers in their prime! ??
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-lJPdsGdcQLinks to an external site.
1. What was the eliciting event that sparked the research interests in Latane and Darley?
2. What kinds of studies did Latane and Darley do? Be specific and explain clearly.
3. What are your overall reactions to what you viewed in the clip?
JUST FOR FUN: This next video is just for fun. The Bystander Effect was replicated. It’s interesting though that they refer to “Empathy” in this video, but it’s really not about empathy per se. It’s about highlighting ONE condition in which people are more likely to help–that is, when they face the situation by themselves… alone! Again this is just for fun…. Go to Part II to finish the assignment.

4. Can you think of a time when you or someone you know might have benefitted from this information? Did you ever need help but no person responded or if they did, it was too late?
JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION: This clip discusses what history got wrong in the Genovese case. There was some help offered in the Kitty Genovese case, but it was just too late…. This doesn’t negate the findings in the Latane and Darley research, but you should hear the truth about the story that was the impetus for an amazing set of research findings!

Describe recent and current efforts aimed at solving the human rights issue, including efforts by NGOs, national governments, and IGOs. Provide supporting references.

In the textbook, Straus defines human rights as a "set of rights afforded to individuals on the basis of being human, i.e., irrespective of national citizenship, gender, ethnicity, or other traits" (1). We see, however, that despite the international system of defining and guaranteeing human rights known as the human rights regime, not every individual or government has the same concept of human rights. For this assignment, you will explore national and international policy responses to a human rights issue.

Based on Amnesty InternationalLinks to an external site., Human Rights WatchLinks to an external site., the UN human rights-related organizations (UNHCRLinks to an external site., United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human RightsLinks to an external site.), or another source that you verify with your instructor, choose a human rights policy issue.

Define the issue as a human rights issue according to concepts of human rights. Describe its causes, implications, and locations. Use the following questions to help you frame your explanation:

In what ways has a policy caused human rights violations or been enacted because of human rights violations?
Can you recognize conflicts around human rights policy that stem from divergent understandings of human rights, within a country, between countries, or between a country and an intergovernmental or non-governmental organization?
Consider the history, religion, and culture of the country where the issue is taking place in your examination of the human rights policy issue.

Identify the stakeholders and explain how this issue has an impact on them. Provide references to support the information.
Describe recent and current efforts aimed at solving the human rights issue, including efforts by NGOs, national governments, and IGOs. Provide supporting references.
Based on your analysis of the human rights issue and the policies you have described, provide your opinion on which policy would be appropriate. This can be one of the policies already in place or your suggestion. Support your opinion with references to appropriate resources.
Use four (two government and two peer-reviewed, scholarly) sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides. For this assignment, government resources may include resources from an IGO.

Post an explanation of a threat to internal validity and a threat to external validity in quantitative research. Next, explain a strategy to mitigate each of these threats. Then, identify a potential ethical issue in quantitative research and explain how it might influence design decisions. Finally, explain what it means for a research topic to be amenable to scientific study using a quantitative approach.

DESIGNING QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
Researchers consider validity and reliability with each new study they design. This is because validity and reliability are not fixed but rather reflect a particular study’s unique variables, research design, instruments, and participants.
In the context of research design, two types of validity, which speak to the quality of different features of the research process, are considered: internal validity and external validity. Assuming that the findings of a research study are internally valid—i.e., the researcher has used controls to determine that the outcome is indeed due to manipulation of the independent variable or the treatment—external validity refers to the extent to which the findings can be generalized from the sample to the population or to other settings and groups. Reliability refers to the replicability of the findings.
For this Discussion, you will consider threats to internal and external validity in quantitative research and the strategies used to mitigate these threats. You will also consider the ethical implications of designing quantitative research.

Be sure to support your Main Issue Post and Response Post with reference to the week’s Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA Style.
