In the eyes of a healthcare provider, the primary care NP role includes the provision of health promotion, disease prevention, and the provision of chronic and acute health care. Primary NPs also provide other services as well including physical examinations, routine screenings, and vaccinations.  In full authority states, NPs may work independently to do this, however, in restricted authority states NPs must work under the supervision of a medical doctor. A recent systematic review concluded that primary care delivered by NPs is associated with a decreased risk of preventable hospitalization for many chronic diseases (Poghosyan et al., 2018). Surveys reveal higher patient satisfaction when patients are cared for by NPs rather than by physicians. In the eyes of a healthcare provider, the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) role includes providing care to those with mental health challenges. Common psychological illnesses assessed, diagnosed, and treated by this type of APN include anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, addiction, and bipolar. Previous studies in somatic health care revealed that patients find nurse practitioners reliable, helpful, and empathic and feel empowered, at peace, and in control when cared for by PMHNPs (van Dusseldorp et al., 2023). Lastly, in the eyes of a healthcare provider, a CNM role includes the provision of prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care. Patients who desire more emotional support usually choose a CNM as they tend to be more holistic. They are required to be in the low-risk pregnancy category to do so, however. High-risk pregnancies are required to be seen by the OB-GYN.
Similarities of the above-discussed APNs are that they all assess, diagnose, and treat. As advocates for their patients, they all must excel in active listening, communication, and empathy. Differences between the above-discussed APNs would be their patient populations and duties. Also, their work environments are completely different. The primary care NP may work in clinics or nursing homes, the PMHNP may work in a treatment center or behavioral health clinic, and the CNM may work in birthing centers or even homes.

Your thoughts should then be distilled into a mini-argument that will respond affirmatively to the four tests for evaluating arguments: truthfulness of premises, logical strength, relevance, and non-circularity.

For this journal assignment, briefly answer each of the following prompts:
Inference: The differing meanings of “valid inference” and “warranted inference” are closely related to the differing purposes of deductive and inductive arguments – the purpose of deductive being to prove; the purpose of inductive to make the conclusion most probable.
Look up the words “valid” and “warranted.” Each of these words, you will find, has what is known as a lexical definition – that is just the dictionary definition of the word. Words also have a certain connotations – meanings that go beyond their lexical definitions; associated ideas and concepts – think of terms such a “fur baby” as the name for a pet.
Briefly discuss how the lexical definitions and connotations of “valid” and “warranted” can help us understand the differing purposes of deductive and inductive arguments.
Fallacies: In Section 8.2, the text states that there are “fallacious argument templates” (Facione & Gittens, p. 167) and then gives a number of examples. The authors further state: “Analysis of the meanings of the terms used and the grammatical rules of the language reveal the source of error” (p.167).
Choose one of the fallacies in this section, such as Denying the Antecedent or False Classification and pair it with the valid argument template. For example, if you choose Denying the Antecedent, the valid argument template will be Denying the Consequent. False Classification would pair with one of the fallacies in Reasoning About Classes of Objects.
Explain, in your own words, how the fallacy is revealed through analysis of the valid argument template. Think of it this way – if you know how the heart works, you will know that certain malfunctions will prevent it from working.  For example, if you know that the coronary arteries supply the heart with blood, then you can reason that a blockage will stop that vital flow. So this journal prompt asks you to explain, in your own words, how one of the valid argument templates work – and how that exposes the fallacy connected with that type of argument.
Civic Responsibility: At the end of Chapter 9 there is a Bonus Exercise that asks you to research and analyze the 2009 debate over the healthcare public option. If you were actually to complete that exercise, it would take quite a bit of time and effort.
Do you think that completing such an exercise would be time well spent or time wasted? If well-spent, why? If time wasted, why?
Is there any issue on which you think a comparable amount of time and effort would be worthwhile?
As a critical thinker, do you believe that citizens have an obligation to be informed on topics of current interest? If yes, why, if no, why not?

Choose an organization operating in any part of the globe (preferably a super market, hyper market chain (or) a fast-food industry or an electronics equipment manufacturer/distributor, automobile manufacturer or automotive parts or retail products / services.
The organization that you choose should either manufacture or market or distribute some products / services. The competition in these businesses majorly depends upon price, quality, timely delivery and service (which are core aspects of Supply Chain Management). Hence there is immense pressure on all the organizations in these businesses to keep the four aspects mentioned to their supreme best.
As these businesses are the most emerged industries in the recent past, the supply chain has seen huge transformations. These businesses are getting to the maturing stage and so as the transformations in the supply chain management of these business become more and more competitive, the customer gets only the best products / service.
Note: In case your chosen organization is operating in many countries and deals with many products, it is enough you consider the operations in any one country and indicate some materials that are part of the business and select 2 or 3 materials out of them for providing answers to the questions given below.

 INTRODUCTION
Throughout history, societies have struggled to understand and contain the spread of highly infectious diseases. While more efficient modes of transportation allowed civilizations to be more interconnected, these advances allowed pathogens to spread beyond local communities and develop into pandemics. Two of the most devastating pandemics in history were the Black Death in the 14th century and the influenza pandemic in 1918. Both resulted in the death of millions of people and had social, economic, and political effects. 
In this task, you will examine the causes of the Black Death and the 1918 influenza pandemic. You will also analyze the role humans played in the spread of these diseases as well as the response to them.
