Take two new emerging tactics (disciplines) of digital marketing (being data-driven / being predictive / being contextual / being augmented/being agile). How could they be applied to your chosen brand/SDG?

This module allows you to explore few new digital technology trends that businesses and organisations need to put into practice to enhance their market competitiveness by creating short- and long-term growth opportunities in the marketplace. As a marketer in a digital world, it is important to stay up to date with contemporary trends and developments, taking an active interest in potential future advancements. So based on the learnings of this course, choose an emerging technology for your blog and a brand or one of United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for your report which you are keen to explore in more detail and complete the following two tasks.

Identify an emerging technology used in marketing (such as AI, NLP, Sensor Tech, Robotics, IoT, blockchain, Chat GPT) which interests you, and write a 500-word personal reflection on your chosen area, using the context of your chosen brand or one of the areas of UN’s 17 SDGs. You will need to include a summary of the chosen technology, your own personal reflections on it, and how it could be applied within the sector/SDGs for marketing.

▪ Take two new emerging tactics (disciplines) of digital marketing (being data-driven / being predictive / being contextual / being augmented/being agile). How could they be applied to your chosen brand/SDG?
▪ First, explain why you have chosen these two disciplines for your brand/SDG.
▪ Analyse the current situation for the brand. The brand/SDG is currently using which tactic(s)? Map out your idea
visually and support it with existing research.
▪ Explore how your chosen two disciplines can support the marketing efforts of the brand/SDG differently than currently
employed by the brand/SDG.
▪ In the light of what you have learned in the course, what would you suggest to your brand/SDG for their next
marketing tactics? Which technologies would you recommend them? How? Why?
The report should be written in a distinctive style to the blog post, highlighting current research in the area, using critical analysis to discuss your ideas, including references you have used. Also use visuals to support your suggestions. Think creatively and apply your learning to the brand/SDG you have chosen.

Case Study: Roslyn, a six-year-old, is attending public school for the first time. Her parents brought her to the clinic and stated, “she appears to have pain in her legs and won’t participate in playtime.” The parents noticed recently Roslyn appears pale and acts weak. Roslyn is diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. After her parents and siblings undergo genetic testing, it is found that Roslyn is the only family member with the disease. What are the priority nursing interventions for Roslyn? What anticipatory guidance should the nurse provide Roslyn and her family regarding the diagnosis of sickle cell anemia and her attending school? How can the nurse support the child and family?

Is Turings test the right way to approach the idea of intelligence? In other words, if you have a conversation with a computer and you believe that you are talking with a human, would that computer be intelligent? Why or why not?

Is Turing’s test the right way to approach the idea of intelligence? In other words, if you have a conversation with a computer and you believe that you are talking with a human, would that computer be intelligent? Why or why not?

I do not believe that Turing’s test is the right way to approach the idea of intelligence. While I would agree that certain computer systems can do extraordinary things, I do not think it should be considered intelligence. This is because as far as my knowledge on computers goes, they are only able to do as much as we code them to do. Meaning, computers are nothing without human interference. If I were to have a conversation with “someone” online and it turned out to be a computer, I would think the computer possessed less “intelligence” than that of a real person I could have a conversation with. This is because I think a crucial part of intelligence is the human factor. When I have conversations with coworkers, for example, they are hearing my words for the first time and actively dig from their own personal memories and experiences to formulate a unique response to what I am saying. So while I think computers are highly advanced systems that can perform certain “roles” very well, I do not think they are the way we should really measure intelligence.

How are human thinking and machine computing similar in function of memory? How are they different?

I think human thinking and machine computing are similar in function of memory, because both systems work to pull data/memories that would be relevant to the question or topic at hand. These systems operate very differently at the same time, because while I use personal experiences as a base for my own intelligence, computers use whatever data is given to them. Another major difference is that I will recall past experiences with a certain bias or subjective way of thinking. This is because my memory may take into account body language, tone, and other underlying factors that only I would know. A computer cannot take into account these factors, so it will often have a pretty objective, blunt response to whatever data it is trying to receive.

Do you think it’s possible for computers to ever think or be as intelligent as humans? Why or why not?

I don’t think it is possible for computers to ever be as intelligent as humans, because computers will never be able to feel genuine human emotion. It is a very unique experience that cannot be transferred into a technological system or any form of artificial intelligence. Emotion serves as motivation for most of our perspectives/opinions, and I think it would be impossible to assume that computers would ever be able to account for that factor. Artificial intelligence may be able to act as such through pre-written dialogues, but these systems will never be able to form their own opinions. Therefore, they will never be as intelligent as humans.

How do either of the concepts of human intelligence or artificial intelligence apply to any of the following programmatic course themes:

I think the topic of human intelligence really applies to emotional intelligence. This is because we often draw upon our own empathy and other emotional skills we’ve learned in order to tackle certain issues during our day to day lives. I think that in order to have human intelligence, we must first have a strong sense of emotional intelligence.
Remember to respond to two peers while being respectful of and sensitive to their viewpoints. Consider advancing the discussion in the following ways:

Post an article, video, or visual to reinforce a peer’s idea or challenge them to see their point from a different perspective.
Engage in conversation with your peers around the topic of intelligence. Consider asking a question or sharing your own personal experience.

Illustrate the processes of detecting rogue devices, detecting malicious connections, and viewing network topologies to identify network weakness. Explain how to interpret the output of network scans to identify weaknesses.

Revise and submit your finalized training manual. Make sure to incorporate all of the feedback you have received throughout the course, and add your executive overview to your submission. You will also create an overview of recommended tools in section seven of the training manual.

Overview
You work for Strategic Security Consulting Group (SSCG). Recently, one of your clients located in Los Angeles, North Star Software Developers (NSSD), called with a big problem. NSSD’s strategic security goals include protecting the software development process and code as well as sensitive client information from internal and external breaches. Some of its network servers were compromised, resulting in the possible loss of personal information and credit card numbers of purchasers of the company’s software products. It is not presently known whether this attack came from inside or outside of the company. NSSD is currently dealing with this problem as best as it can, but it needs your company to help prevent this from happening again in the future.
You have been assigned to create a training manual for NSSD’s IT personnel in which you test, describe, and recommend a variety of network security tools that, when used properly, will mitigate both the risk of future breaches and the effects of a breach when it takes place.
Given the above scenario, you will also create an executive overview that describes the appropriate areas of concern from your research in this course. This should be written in language that can be understood by a nontechnical audience of company management and stakeholders.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:

Interpret results of network and vulnerability scans for identifying security vulnerabilities
Implement appropriate methods that protect against and address network threats and vulnerabilities using appropriate risk mitigation techniques
Categorize the severity of security incidents using industry best practices for determining the appropriate immediate response
Recommend timely countermeasures that minimize the consequences of current security incidents
Communicate response and mitigation strategies that align with an organization’s strategic goals

RISE Feedback:
REFLECT: I concur with “Action plans should reflect the type of services that are needed and have an idea of the expected outcome of the services” because it is in line with Hatch and Hartline’s intentional school counseling guidelines in regards to determining students needs.
INQUIRE: Can you further explain what “closing-the-gap action plans” are?
SUGGEST: I encourage you to revisit Hatch and Hartline’s MTMDSS tier interventions in order to add a citation that would illustrate your example on bullying prevention efforts.
ELEVATE: What if you re-purposed “For example, after a needs assessment, the school is having problems with bullying” as “Following Trish Hatch’s MTMDSS tier based interventions, if the school is having problems with bullying, after a needs assessment, we could… citation…”  for a more weighted argument?

dentify techniques that guide school counselors in addressing social/emotional needs.

I am a huge advocate for professional development opportunities. I think that we as social-emotional providers can always find something new to learn. In order to best address social/emotional needs in our short-term counseling, we need to learn and practice effective techniques. One approach I would love to learn more about implementing is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have been a patient of DBT and found it extremely helpful for getting my life back on track when I was experiencing mental health challenges. Comprehensive DBT is time-consuming and takes 6 months to one year, and school counselors are not therapists, but it is possible to incorporate DBT concepts into our short-term practice, including concepts such as mindfulness, radical acceptance, and coping skills such as distraction techniques to tolerate distress.

Identify possible cultural and developmental expectations that might exist for Han, in Han and the Bully. What are some techniques for developing students’ skills for respecting other points of view? Reference the readings and website information provided this week.

One possible cultural expectation for Han might be to suffer in silence. He may feel that he will look weak if he speaks up. Therefore, it is very much a big deal that he spoke up about the mistreatment at school.
One technique for developing students’ skills for respecting other points of view is bibliocounseling, which we learned about last week. For example: having students read about the experience of an immigrant person in their own words. This may cause students to consider a perspective they had never considered before, and develop empathy and sympathy for the new point of view.

How would the situation be handled differently if Han was 7 years old?

In the case scenario, the counselor used simple language, and I would expect her to do the same if Han was younger. Maybe the counselor could have used a simpler analogy to help Han understand the concept.

Identify techniques that guide school counselors in addressing social/emotional needs.

There are many techniques to use such as positive reinforcement for desire behaviors’. Others can be approaches such as, solution focused, strength based, cheerleader. In address in the need it can be as simple as a flyer for a coping group. An Instragram post on school site, parent newsletter or in a lesson. Today when I did the personalities test tied with CCGI to identify possible majors/careers, I tied in how counselors can help with social emotional needs to school being overwhelming and how we are not just here for academics. I had a slide the went over all the duties school counselors do in mental health and the workshops we hold throughout the year.

Identify possible cultural and developmental expectations that might exist for Han, in Han and the Bully What are some techniques for developing students’ skills for respecting other points of view? Reference the readings and website information provided this week.

Culture norms for Han could be why it is the way he did. The book states that therapist should be aware that some cultures take great emphasis on non verbal communication, thus they are less likely to communicate in therapy (Brems, 2008). Therapist should not take it the wrong way. This can be a sign of respect and the student can show communication in other ways (Brems, 2008). Student might not know this, so lessons on cultural differences and respect would be a great way for students to develop respect for each other. Cultural days as well.

How would the situation be handled differently if Han was 7 years old?

Educating the student may help. I like to introduce myself, state they are not in trouble, and go over what the counseling dept. is all about when I first meet a kids, because i noticed 9 times out of 10 this is their first visit and have no idea what the counselor does. Also visuals are great for younger students even videos.
