Planning for green qualities in the urban densification

Provision of urban green space in compact city environments and during densification processes is described as a major challenge. It identifies problems, challenges and strategies of urban green space planning during densification processes. The project explores the implications of urban densification, on a place-based study . ( greater Copenhagen, frederiksberg district- local aspects, observation, improved organisation of public transport, looking intro critical aspects ) .The project will show the pros and cons of urban densification and the impacts on the urban environment, focussing on the local urban environment by examining the economic and environmental conditions and assessing the critical role of cities in advancing green growth.

Examining why green growth is important and how it can be defined in an urban context,

Focuses on policies and tools that enable the transition to green growth in cities.

The project concludes a proposal for a policy framework for an urban green growth agenda that is based on a set of hypotheses of desirable economic scenarios. The case study will be used to conclude whether compact city policies and densification can lead to a sustainable urban environment. National planning strategies to local planning strategies.

develop a written proposal paper for your capstone topic of choice. This proposal is derived from evidence-based practice that will enhance clinical outcomes and should demonstrate a link between research and practice.

Professional nurses, as they gain expertise and pursue scholarship, are in a unique position to synthesize knowledge from their clinical practice and their RN-BSN course work. The purpose of the Capstone proposal is to identify an area of interest on a clinical topic or healthcare organizational topic that relates to the students’ area of nursing practice; search pertinent literature from evidence-based practice and clinical practice guidelines; and propose a plan, implementation method, evaluation, and dissemination of this information to colleagues in the work setting and/or community.

The student will develop a written proposal paper for their capstone topic of choice. This proposal is derived from evidence-based practice that will enhance clinical outcomes and should demonstrate a link between research and practice. Topics of interest may be selected from such areas as a potential change to a clinical practice, a clinical dilemma that would be likely to improve patient care outcomes, or a cost-benefit analysis of clinical practice. The topic should be related to your clinical practice area or general nursing practice.

The Capstone Project/Proposal paper will be submitted for grading in periodic deliverables as outlined below. The FINAL Capstone Project/ Proposal assignment will be to collate all the documents into one, cohesive document that represents your best quality work. The final submitted document should be inclusive of the feedback and recommendations for improvement provided to you by your instructor. The major components of the Capstone Project/Proposal will include the chapters listed below. The weighting of the chapters follows with the total project representative of 40% of the final grade.

Component Percentage of Grade

Introduction & Discussion of Topic of Interest 8%

Literature Review 8%

Methodology (Plan, Implementation, Evaluation, Dissemination) 16%

Discussion and Concluding Remarks 4%

Final Cohesive Document Submission 4%

MAXIMUM page limits for each section are established in the rubric and do not include the title and reference pages. Students are expected to use a scholarly, academic writing style and APA (6th edition) formatting when writing this paper. Sources used for this paper must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.

Instructions: watch the following videos, which together cover much of the material we covered in class prior to the mid-term. They’re not very long (about 52 min. total) and the narrators speak quickly, so take notes and replay any parts that aren’t clear to you. When you’re finished, write a 2-page paper summarizing their main points. You don’t need to state your own opinion, although you are welcome to if you like. The main goal is just to show that you have understood this material. Due Wednesday, October 20.

(Note: this video isn’t totally correct, as it seems to conflate the “general will” in Rousseau with the will of the majority. But it’s the best I could find.)

I looked for a good video on Federalist no. 39 (“partly national, partly federal”) and couldn’t find one. Even Youtube doesn’t have everything!

‘The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.’ Does this ancient realist logic still apply to contemporary international politics despite the spread of international law?
