Critical Response (CR): What role does the games maker (and story writer) have in providing a narrative experience for players? What happens to notions of “authorship” when players have some say in how a story progresses?

Critical Response (CR): What role does the games maker (and story writer) have in providing a narrative experience for players? What happens to notions of “authorship” when players have some say in how a story progresses? Should a game maker prevent a player from affecting the story? If so, why make a game at all?

Reflective Response (RR): The selection of games you played for this module are pretty diverse. Why do you think I chose them specifically for this module? What do they have to do with stories, narrative design, and agency? How do they compare to games like Life Is Strange and Cart Life? Where are the stories in any and all of these games?

Greek History and Culture

1) Compare and contrast the political and economic systems of the Bronze Age Aegean with the political and economic practices of Greece in the 5th century B.C.

2) Identity based on status and class often seems very rigid in the past. Discuss the importance of status and class in greek society; be sure to include specific examples showing how people could change status and class.

3)Ancient sources tend to portray Sparta as an unchanging society at least since the time of Lycurgus. What evidence do we have for change in Spartan social and political history?

We are not writing Abstracts.

Introduction:

The Introduction MUST provide the background necessary to understand the discussion. If a technique, concept, or topic is mentioned in the Discussion ensure there is some properly cited background for it in the Introduction.

Include some context for the experiment.

Include the experiment objectives.

Experimental:

Written with enough detail to be reproducible.

Do not re-copy the lab manual. Use your recorded notes from your notebook.

The experimental section MUST include chemical suppliers/manufacturers and amounts (use approximate amounts if qualitative).

Data and Results:

There MUST be text to explain what is presented in the Tables/Figures.

Include direct references to Tables/Figures in the body of the text. For example, “The data in Table 1 illustrate the following trends…” or “When solution A was added to the beaker the solution changed from red to blue (Figure 1).”

Discussion:

The Discussion MUST begin with a sentence essentially re-stating the objectives and then relate that to the key data.

Include answers to the “Thinking about the Data” questions in the body of the Discussion. Make sure to use actual examples from the data to provide evidence for your answers.

Conclusion:

References:

Formal reports MUST include in-text citations (refer to the ACS Style Guide if unsure how).

Use books or peer-reviewed sources. Avoid using wiki or type websites.

thinking about the data questions:

1Describe the morphology of the MAC nanocomposite. Does the data illustrate how the properties (e.g. pollutant removal, recoverability, recyclability) of the MAC nanocomposite are affected by structure? Use magnetite as a comparison.
