Unit 4: week 4 – written assignment

This assignment is worth 6 points of the total course grade.

Description: Outline of Instructional Strategy/System Support Solution. Prepare a 2-3 page outline of the instructional strategy or system support solution you are planning. Include a minimum of two peer-reviewed articles and any other relevant resources you have identified. The outline will have 2 to 3 levels and may be a sentence or topical outline. References must be in APA 6 format. During week 1 you identified an instructional strategy or system support solution you wanted to investigate during this class. Your colleagues offered you feedback on the situation, and you might even have read and critiqued two articles on the situation. Instructional Strategy. Instructional strategies can outline a way to develop instructional material, establish a way to evaluate current information, revise either of the two above, or used as a framework for planning units of a curriculum. Strategies include group discussions, independent readings, case studies, computer simulations, and collaborative group efforts to name just a few. Approaches can specify sequencing, learning components )objectives, prerequisites, stimulation, motivation, feedback), assessment, learner grouping, media, conditions of learning, creation of a new and innovative strategy or re-working a tried and familiar one adapting to the current situation. Carey and Dick (1991) have developed summative evaluation questions for an instructional strategy that you might want to consider: 1. “Are introductory of pre-instructional activities included? 2. Are the content, sequence, scope, and pace of the presentation appropriate for the goal, the learners, the medium and the setting? 3. Are practice or rehearsal activities congruent with the objectives of the instruction (conditions, behavior, context)? 4. Is the feedback to learners informative in terms of illuminating the criteria, providing models of correct responses, or explaining correct solutions and common mistakes? 5. Are performance tests congruent with the goals and objectives of the instruction, the characteristics of learners, and the pace of instruction (too soon/late)? 6. Are follow-through activities for remediation, enrichment, or linkage to subsequent instruction included?” (p. 275) Here you will outline your instructional strategy and include support from three to five different scholarly articles. Identify additional work needed to complete this project. Make sure you check the rubric before submitting the assignment. System Support Solution. This option is a little more flexible in the structure of the solution. As mentioned earlier, a system support solution can include an issue related to globalization, achievement gaps, enrollment risks, training, software support, data integration, networking, or processing documentation to name just a few examples. You would probably choose this option if you are going to be specializing in Distance Learning. Although the paper for this option will probably create its own structure dependent upon the nature of the issue being investigated, some guidelines to consider include. 1. Diagnosis and analysis of situation 2. Application of appropriate models, theories, and conceptual frameworks 3. Steps needed to complete project 4. Three possible avenues to solve the issue 5. How to decide the best approach 6. What will success look like? 7. How will you measure it? 8. What sorts of problems do you anticipate? 9. What research materials will you need to access? Here you will outline your System Support Solution and include support from three to five different scholarly articles. Make sure you check the rubric before submitting the assignment. LAW 204 NU Examining Constitutional Law Discussion

I’m working on a business law discussion question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn. New York City’s charter authorized the New York City Board of Health to adopt a health code that it declared to have the force and effect of law. The board adopted a code that provided for the fluoridation of the public water supply. A suit was brought to enjoin the carrying out of this program on the grounds that it was unconstitutional and that money could not be spent to implement such a program in the absence of a statute authorizing the expenditure. It was also claimed that the fluoridation program was unconstitutional because there were other means of reducing tooth decay; fluoridation was discriminatory by benefiting only children; it unlawfully imposed medication on children without their consent, and fluoridation was or may be dangerous to health [Paduano v. City of New York, 257 N.Y.S.2d 531] Was the code’s provision valid? Provide a rationale or explain how you came to this determination.

LAW 204 NU Determining the Affected Areas of Law Discussion

Janice is a CPA in the state of Arizona and her license fees and continuing education hours are due within 90 days. Janice will begin with only a clerical person as an employee to serve as a receptionist and bookkeeper. List all of the areas of law that affect Janice in her new business. Provide a rationale or explain how these laws apply to this scenario.

Genesis plan report | Business & Finance homework help

The Genesis operations management team, nearing completion of its agreement with Sensible Essentials, was asked by senior management to present a capital plan for the operating expansion. The capital plan was not to be a wish list but an analysis of the necessary expenditures to successfully establish a fully equipped operating facility overseas.
In addition, senior management requested meaningful financial and operating metrics to ensure that the performance objectives for the facility were being met. The operations management team was given five days to accomplish the following:

Calculate the firm’s WACC.
Prepare and analyze each planned capital expenditure.
Evaluate, rank, and recommend the capital expenditures according to beneficial value to the organization, using the evaluation tools NPV, payback, and IRR. Evaluation, ranking, and recommendations should be by category of expenditures. For example, facility, equipment 1, 2, and 3, and inspection.
Using the selected choices in part three, calculate the full cost of establishing a fully equipped facility. This would include the facility, equipment 1, 2, and 3, and inspection. In addition, calculate the payback, NPV, and IRR for the completed facility.
Construct and recommend between three and five metrics to measure the performance of the organization. At least one metric should be dividend decision-making driven.
Prepare an executive summary along with a separate document showing the calculations.

Part I
Following the example of the operations management team, do the following:

Download the Capital Budgeting spreadsheet, and compute the WACC for Genesis.
Using the information provided in the spreadsheet, analyze Genesis’s project options. Then, calculate the periodic and cumulative net cash flows for each potential project and its associated options. Please note that there are five projects (facility, equipment pieces 1, 2, and 3, and internal inspection), and that each project offers multiple-configuration options (facility size, equipment type, etc.).
Evaluate, rank, and recommend a specific option for each capital project according to beneficial value to the organization, using the evaluation tools NPV, payback, and IRR.
Construct and recommend between three and five metrics to measure the performance of the new operating strategy. At least one metric should reflect dividend policy as it relates to rewarding shareholders.
Prepare an executive summary describing your recommendations for each project and the overall cost, net cash flows, and expected returns of the operating configuration that you recommend. Be sure to justify your recommendations in terms of the investment criteria applied in Step 3 above. Be sure to report the full cost of the facility as it is configured per your recommendations. Present and justify your operating strategy performance metrics.

Your complete report should include all of your calculations as appendices (5 pages, or 1 page for each project).
Part II—Executive Summary Presentation
Because of limited resources in an era of plentiful opportunities, companies must carefully select investments. You analyzed Genesis’ expansion plans and explained your findings in M5: Assignment 1.
This assignment is based on those findings. In this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that will include the following information:

An executive summary of your findings from M5: Assignment 1. Be sure to adhere to the following:

The presentation should be approximately 6–8 minutes (or 10–12 slides).
A statement of the problem or topic is included.
A concise analysis of the findings is included.
Specific details from M5: Assignment 1 to highlight or support the summary are incorporated.

Develop a 10–12-slide presentation in PowerPoint format. Apply APA standards to citation of sources
Assignment 2 Grading Criteria
