How do you see the effect of this executive order so far?Consider the following assertion from Health Policymaking in the United States: “Implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)… is proving to be a monumental and challenging management undertaking (Jost 2014)” (textbook page 197). Based on what you know of the Affordable Care Act and the implementation process, why might this be? What about managing this act can be so “monumental and challenging”?

In 2017, President Trump, after failing to repeal the Affordable Care Act in congress, took his own steps toward fulfilling his vow to dismantle Obamacare, signing an executive order that he says will bring affordable health insurance to millions more people. The order broadly tasks the administration with developing policies to increase health care competition and choice in order to improve the quality of health care and lower prices. However, it could also destabilize Obamacare by siphoning out younger and healthier Americans from the exchanges. Create a 7- to 10-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with visuals and speaker notes outlining performance-based total compensation plans for two organizations

Create a 7- to 10-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with visuals and speaker notes outlining performance-based total compensation plans for two organizations. The organizations must be in different industries, have different employee groups, and utilize different pay strategies.

Include the following in your presentation:

Describe the pay strategies being used. Since the organizations have different employee groups, the key objectives for each group should be different.
Address how pay is used to drive organizational objectives. Include whether or not unions have a role in any of the pay strategies.
Assess direct and indirect reward plans available to two types of employee positions.
The total reward plans that are offered.
The similarities and differences that exist among the plans.
How well each organization’s reward plan supports expectations.
Determine which organization has better aligned pay and rewards with key objectives.
Use at least three APA-formatted sources.

Discuss what you would do to prepare yourself for court and how you would present the research that has been conducted.

There are a number of research topics where forensic consultants may not be able to provide definitive answers. The chapters you read provide examples of areas where there is at least some controversy over either the topic itself or the research findings.

For this discussion, pretend you have been hired to provide testimony on an unsettled and/or controversial area of scientific research. Discuss what you would do to prepare yourself for court and how you would present the research that has been conducted.

What ethical concerns are raised when discussing unsettled science? What pitfalls might you, as the forensic consultant, expect to face in court? How do you determine if these scientific findings meet, at a minimum, the criteria for FRE 702?

Discuss the key differences in cultural variables between the United States and the country that are important when conducting business in the selected country

Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

How would you overcome the anticipated barriers to communication? Provide specific examples.

Why is it important for an organization to have a mission?

Ultimately, a manager or supervisor within an organization should be responsible for team development. Inevitably, however, differences among team members will arise. Based on the Team-Building Checklist found on page 89 of the textbook, design a PowerPoint presentation that illustrates your understanding of how various problems are diagnosed within a team and how these problems can serve as detriments to team success. Also, discuss the team building cycle and how it can be used to develop activities for solving problems within teams. At least two additional resources should be used in addition to your textbook and each should be cited and referenced properly using APA formatting. The presentation should consist of a title slide, a minimum of six slides of content, and a reference slide.
Unit V Case Study
In any team, problems will arise and team members will have questions about the conflict and how to resolve it. Members across departments must collaborate and contribute to the resolution of any unhealthy form of team conflict. Based on Case One: ElectriGov (found on page 177 in your textbook), answer the following questions:
1. Why is it important for an organization to have a mission?
2. Why is it important for team members to know their roles on a team?
3. Is competition within a team a good or bad thing? Explain your response.
4. Why is it important to set short- and long-term goals when planning a meeting regarding conflicts? Provide examples.
5. Why is it significant for leaders to understand how to resolve conflict and avoid unhealthy agreements?
Your Case Study should be in APA style with a minimum of two pages (not including the title and references pages).

Integrating the Field of Developmental Psychology: A Review of the Literature

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review the age group / developmental stage you selected in Week Two of the course. Remember, you must use this age group / developmental stage.

You will then review the Developmental Psychology literature examining findings for that age group / developmental stage in terms of the physical, emotional, cognitive, social dimensions, and how they impact development and can best be used to meet developmental needs. Additionally, create a summary of the developmental stage as viewed through the lens of one developmental theory we have studied across the course (Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development, Freud’s Psychosexual Theory, Erickson’s Psychosocial Theory, etc.).

In your paper,

Examine the physical changes associated with the selected developmental stage.

Examine the cognitive changes associated with the selected developmental stage.

Examine the emotional changes associated with the selected developmental stage.

Examine the social changes associated with the selected developmental stage.

Evaluate the developmental changes and appraise the effects of the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social environments.

Integrate developmental and environmental factors into an assessment of developmental needs.

Create a summary of the developmental stage as viewed through the lens of a selected developmental theory.

Propose solutions for areas not addressed by the theory.

Analyze the ethical considerations for research and practice with the selected developmental stage.
