research on better understanding how Students of Color, primarily Black students are more severely disciplined in classrooms–which can be connected to larger equities based upon racist social and educational structures.

This is the feedback from the Professor on the paper you wrote. Please read below for comment. This is one of many steps for this paper. I will continue to use your services to complete this research paper. Thank you!

It seems like the focus of this research is on better understanding how Students of Color, primarily Black students are more severely disciplined in classrooms–which can be connected to larger equities based upon racist social and educational structures. And the research site will be a university; which seems to be a retrospective study of how university students reflect on discipline in their education career (is this a correct reading? ).

If the focus is on getting university student perspectives on racialized school discipline, which is the justification for focusing on university students rather than for example high or middle school students?

In addition, having mixed gender and age groups of participants, will there also be mixed racial groups represented in the participants as well? Also think about what qualitative research methodology you will use for this research design.

Racial disparities and discrimination in education

Nobody can dispute the prevalence of prejudice that non-white Americans encounter from their compatriots. Discrimination against African-Americans is rooted in deeper issues than white ladies phoning the police on an innocent black man. Caucasian-Americans was reported to be seven times wealthier than African-Americans on average in 2019. Racism has crept into our educational institutions as well. According to research, black kids are more likely to be suspended or expelled than their white peers (Diette et al., 2021). Students who are in danger of being suspended are more likely to end up on the wrong side of the law. Because of this, we urgently need to overhaul our educational system to eliminate its racial imbalances.

This research is of extraordinary significant and it will help those in the educational sector to come up with different policies to ensure that everyone get access to equal education. In the recent past, opportunities in education have been given based on race, and this has really affected the education sector. This research is needed by both the public and private sectors involved in education.

This research will be conducted in the university setup because they are the people who are mostly affected. We will collect views from different students in different universities situated in America. We will consider having a target group of 100 people with 50 gents and 50 ladies aged between 20 years old and 35 years old and we will involve them in a debate to share their views on the topic.

In this research, data will be collected through interviews, administering questionnaires, and also direct observation. Secondary data will also be collected from journals. The data collected will then be analyzed and discussed while comparing it with the past works of literature.

Evaluate the roles required to successfully deliver a BIM project and discuss the BIM managers role during various phases of the project lifecycle.
Assessment task details and instructions

Background

In the context of construction, building information modelling (BIM) is the process of delivering and operating built assets using well-structured digital information that all the necessary parties have access to. It is a way of working, rather a physical object or an entity. Operating in this way – often referred to as ‘working in a BIM environment’ – requires all parties to collaborate and share the information they create in a mutually accessible online space known as a common data environment or (CDE). This way, everyone who needs to access the information can. That collection of data is known as an ‘information model’. Information models can be used to inform all stages of a built asset’s lifecycle, from inception right through to operation and renewal. British Standards Institution (BSI), Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) and the UK BIM Alliance are developing resources in the form of ISO standards, guidance, an information protocol, and a learning outcomes framework to support individuals and organizations in the UK and internationally to understand the fundamental principles of information management using building information modelling in projects.

Scenario

Application of module material to a project/organisation

As Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have yet to fully adopt BIM. This assignment is focused on the principles, potential and way forward for BIM in SMEs in the construction industry. You have been employed as a project BIM Manager by an SME to launch an extensive program for the Development of an Infrastructure project. The design and construction consultants (architects, engineers, contractors etc.) for the project have not yet been appointed.

The assignment requires the following overarching questions to be addressed:

A.             As part of your role, you have been asked to critically evaluate the term Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the context of local, national, and global developments.

B.             You should discuss the available UK standards, protocols, documentation, etc. and explain their purpose, contents, and requirements specifically to the delivery of a BIM project. Analyse the decisions necessary to be made during different stages of project lifecycle with a flow chart.

C.              Analyse the drivers/enablers and challenges/barriers of using BIM for SMEs.

D.             Evaluate the roles required to successfully deliver a BIM project and discuss the BIM managers role during various phases of the project lifecycle.

E.              Identify the possible future developments within the BIM job role.

In addressing these overarching questions, students are required to demonstrate an understanding of BIM in the context of SMEs by:

1.     Developing a critical synthesis of the relevant background literature that incorporates the core concepts and principles studied throughout the programme (e.g. challenges and opportunities, business value/proposition, drivers and enablers, collaboration principles, etc.) in relation to BIM and SMEs

2.     Developing potential strategies for SME

What do you think the church needs to understand regarding addictions?

Description

For those whose lives are affected by addictions, there can be consequences that result from a person’s addictive behaviors. It is not only the addicted person who is affected negatively but also the person’s family and those in his or her life circles. Because of this, there are treatment options available for the addicted person and support groups for the person’s family. Although these treatment options exist, there can still be a stigma that can bring a sense of shame even for those who are in the church. How do you think the church might best address these types of struggles? What do you think the church needs to understand regarding addictions? How would you help someone who could be addicted to something that most see as a positive thing such as church/religion, exercise, or even work?
