The Use of Evidence Based Treatment Discussion Response

Response to Anna Valdez:Nursing research is beneficial in that it helps in the provision of evidence-based treatment to patients. The research includes the collection of data on different issues affecting healthcare, developing solutions, and trying new treatment approaches before fully implementing them into healthcare. A majority of patients are benefiting from evidence-based care that focuses on quality improvement and eventually efficiency with regards to healthcare costs. Evidence-based practices in nursing are beneficial to patients before, during, and after undergoing surgical procedures. One of the areas of concern to nurses is the patients? experience with post-operative pain, which can significantly affect their speed of recovery. According to Haghighi, Shahdadi, Moghadam & Balouchi (2016), nurses can, therefore, utilize scientific methods to reduce both pain and stress in reducing pain in patients who have undergone surgery. Evidence care practice also plays a critical role in determining the type of care to be accorded to the patient depending on the operation procedure they undergo. For instance, colorectal cancer patients experience extreme pain after undergoing an operation procedure. Nursing research can help to reveal the best approach towards bowel preparation and the best combination of post-operative antibiotics and painkillers (Kwaan & Melton, 2012). Another way in which evidence-based care is necessary for nursing with regards to post-operative care is through teaching patients to use their mental status to control the post-operative pain because it would help to reduce the adverse effects of strong painkillers. The ability to maintain psychological control in the absence of analgesia is an achievement for patients, and it would help to speed their speed of recovery. Evidence-based treatment in nursing has also proved its effectiveness in the treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting. These would involve teaching patients to control nausea and vomiting using their mental status because most of them do not remember to take medication after being discharged from the hospital.

UC Berkeley Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell Hematology Discussion

Health & Medical question. All explanations and answers will be used . There has been a recent surge of excitement regarding advances in the development of so called Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cell  (CAR-T) technology for the treatment of hematological malignancy, particularly ALL.  For this discussion you will consider the strategies, successes, and risks associated with this new therapeutic approach. Begin by reading this article: Vicki Brower, ?The CAR T-cell race (Links to an external site.),? The Scientist, (April 1, 2015). Next, focus on one biotech company or one university research group that has been at the forefront of CAR-T cell research. You can choose one of the groups listed in the above article, or you can identify another group through your own online research. Compose a brief, ~ 300-500 word report that explains the specific CAR-T cell approach being implemented and the most up-to-date clinical data you can find regarding the status of the therapy they have developed. In your report you should also consider some of the various risks that may be associated with this therapy and any strategies the researchers are invoking to alleviate these risks.

If you wanted to get the word out that a new author was available to talk with book groups via Skype, which distribution method would you choose? 4.Are you surprised to read that different scientists, studying the same data, could come up with different results based on their own biases? Describe one personal bias that a scientist may bring to the analysis of an environmental issue. 5.comment on your feelings about the topic about fire in protected ecosystems. do you think the advantages of  forest fire outweigh the disadvantages or vice versa and why?

Social Networking Now Internet Problems Are Rare Discussion

reply to discussionUntil recently, my employer, ( a large hospital) would not allow employees to use any web browser other than Explorer. On my personal computers, I used Google Chrome. When I tried to download it at work, I wasn’t allowed even though Explorer was glitchy and would partially load or make me believe the site itself had problems. Finally, my job got on board with Chrome and now internet problems are rare. I have yet to have my Gmail accounts hacked, no do I have to deal with those bloated pages full of newsfeeds, gossip or adds like on Bing or Yahoo. That’s a personal preference, but it’s one that makes a difference to me. All those extra things to click on seems to create opportunities to invite viruses, spam and other security risks into the computer. I honestly wouldn’t make any changes to Google Chrome. It’s suffecient. I like how basic it is and how I can personalize the page. The only thing that is on the page, other than the window to type in your search, is the most frequent sites I’ve been to recently. I really enjoy this because it saves me time from searching in my bookmarks.

Sociology Sex Love and Romance Concepts Discussion

Pretending that you are explaining these concepts to someone from another world, tell us about your understanding of sex, love, and romance. Although sex, love, and romance seems closely linked, they have significant differences, which are critical, mainly when you seek to understand the social aspects or application. Let me begin by the term sex, which has been used interchangeably by the term gender for an extended period although their conceptualization and use is becoming distinct. Sex refers to the genetic differences between males and females. However, there are instances where an individual?s sex does not align with their identity, especially in the society that is increasingly embracing transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming concepts.Love is usually complex to understand since in most cases, we only seek to know the meaning when we feel someone special to us does not meet our expectations or someone special complains that we do not love him or her. However, in my understanding, love refers to a complex set of emotions, beliefs, and behaviors that have a close association with intense feelings of affection, respect, warmth, and protectiveness for a given individual(s). Because of the several debates arising from this favored topic, philosophers, writers and poets significantly differ in what actually entails love and its limits; thus, I would say it varies from culture to culture and person to a person though although everyone seems to agree it encompasses strong feelings of affection.Conversely, romance has a close connection with love. It refers to that powerful force that creates a more profound sense of connection with someone. The force takes the relationship beyond the friendship level. However, it is not the sexual encounters but rather the awakening of the heart, which sparks the chemistry of the friendship. Therefore, romance in simple terms is the way of looking at your partner in a manner that you appreciate the good in them. This is one of classmates wrote about the topic about understanding of sex, love, and romance, can you please write response.Sex, love, and romance are concepts that usually tend to have a close interconnection, although they are significantly different. Nonetheless, understanding the difference and possible areas of connection is necessary. The term sex often means different things to different people, although there is a shared conceptualization of the concept. It refers to the biological difference between males and females, usually expressed in their genetic differences. For example, both internal and external male and female genitalia are different. However, it has become more complex, especially with the societal shift to embrace rational concepts such as non-binary, gender?nonconforming, and transgender.Consequently, love refers to the complex set of emotional ties, behavior, and beliefs, which despite the differences in conceptualization; everyone seems to agree to have a close association with intense feelings of affection toward an individual(s). However, since feelings can be deceptive, love in my understanding goes beyond the tingles to incorporate actions. Besides, the subject has been a favored one among philosophers, writers, scientists, and poets for generations, primarily in the quest to understand what entails love and its limits.Romance, on the other hand, is the state of mind, which influences your perception and look at your partner, life, and to some extent the world in a manner that allows you to appreciate the good in them. Usually, it gets more practical between two or different people who are in love. Therefore, this force moves the relationship from the initial stages of friendship. Besides, it romance that creates the deep interconnection toward a loved one thus influential in arousing the chemistry of mutual understanding and care for one another. It, therefore, means nothing more than savoring your partner. There is another one

SOCW 6002 WU Social Work Fieldwork Experience Discussion

Social workers strive to make informed decisions about the interventions they implement. These decisions should be driven by what the research data say. As a result, social workers have been called to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions they implement. A common way to evaluate interventions is to use a single-subject design. This involves monitoring an outcome for an intervention implemented for one client. After a social worker works with the client to determine the outcome to be measured, the following steps to the evaluation might look like this:In this Discussion, you use the lens of resiliency theory when reflecting on a case from your fieldwork, and then you consider how to measure the effectiveness of a possible intervention. To prepare, read this article listed in the Learning Resources:Post:
