Assignment: the practical use of strategic planning | HLTH 4000 – Introduction to Healthcare Management | Walden University

ÿ
Consider the healthcare leaders and managers who have been profiled in the learning resources throughout this course. Would they all have the same vision for their organizations and plan for the same outcomes? Would the CEO of a hospital involve the same stakeholders in the same strategic planning process as the president of a foundation that funds services for families facing cancer, for example? The answer to these questions would likely be no.
In strategic planning, there is no ?one-size-fits all.? Because every situation is different, healthcare leaders and managers must carefully weigh many different aspects of their organization?defining elements, goals, stakeholders, strategies for success, and roles.
To prepare for this Assignment:

Select two strategic plans from those listed below or find your own example from credible sources or your own experience. If you work in a healthcare setting, you might ask for a copy of the strategic plan from your organization.

Consider how the processes and strategic plans for both organizations might be similar and different.

By Day 7
Write a 2- to 3-page paper to compare and evaluate the two Strategic pPlans you select. Address the following:

What are the key components of each Strategic Plan?
Who are the stakeholders who might have been most involved?
Compare the goals and strategies identified in each strategic plan.
What barriers are there to successful implementation of the strategic planning, and how could a healthcare manager overcome these barriers?
Put yourself in the role of a manager at one or both facilities. What are your responsibilities in ensuring one or both are successful?

Avap part2 | Social Science homework help

Guidelines:ÿLook through articles on the website: http://watchingamerica.com/WA/.ÿWatching America is an online foreign news source that has numerous political, social, and economic stories of how the world understands the United States from their (foreign) perspective, rather than from an “American” view.ÿ Select an article of your choosing (a topic you are interested in, ideally) about the United States (written about the U.S. from another country’s perspective and translated into to English if not already written in English).
(1) Select and read a recent article of your choice (translated in English). Assume the author’s role as a concerned citizenÿand brieflysummarize their position on the topic, while identifying any key values you think the author is emphasizing.ÿ
(2) Now switch roles to provide your assessments of any differences in the values presented in the article from an American. For example, what stands out about how the author views or presents the United States (or an issue in the the U.S.) and how in what ways does this perspective align with or diverge from how you think the issue is perceived by Americans? Make sure you provide your assessments in a balanced and realistic way, that takes into account the possible differences in values within the United States while making clear what American values are salient (you may again think about the list presented in Week 1 by Robin Williams and/or identify additional values you think are relevant. But you must clearly explain the value and why you think it is part of an American perspective). Explain whether you think it’s possible for a foreign author/newsperson to consider American Society in a relatively fair manner? Why or why not?
3) Concludeÿby evaluating how to envision other nations? ?typical? values, defining and using the cultural relativism perspective. If you need a quick and dirty explanation of cultural relativism, please read the first two (short) sections of the following resource (?What is culture?? and ?What is Cultural Relativism?): https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep/mcat/society-and-culture/culture/a/cultural-relativism-article

Basic stamp program | Computer Science homework help

Hello,
I do have a project to be done by using Basic Stamp program. The idea of the program is a security gate that opens by entering a code for it by using two push buttons.ÿ
The project:
1. Design and implement a basic stamp based circuit that would simulate the working of a security-gate of your gated community. The gate will operate as follow:
a. When turning on of the circuit, a red LED will be on and the gate is closed. The bar of the gate will be in the horizontal position. Use the servo wire to simulate the bar.
b. There will be two pushbuttons that are used to enter the security code. If the code sequence is entered correctly, the red LED will turn off, a flashing yellow LED will flash ten times before the gate opens, the servo will move to open the gate (the bar is vertical) and a green LED will turn on for 10 seconds.
c. After 10 seconds of being open, the green LED will turn off, a flashing yellow LED will flash ten times before the gate closes again.
d. The servo will move to close the gate and a red LED will be on.
e. If the sequence is not entered exactly as intended, the red LED will flash three times and the
program discards the code, i.e., starts from the beginning
The code is Push buttons #1 is pushed once and push button #2 is pushed seven times

Betty | Nursing homework help

ÿBetty, the chief nursing officer, had to make a decision about buying 120 new hospital beds for patient rooms. After she interviewed nurse mangers at the units where the beds were going to be placed, Betty compiled her findings and decided to contact a well-known equipment company to obtain prices and contracts. The equipment company?s executive salesperson, Jim, discussed options at length with her and invited her and her significant other to an upcoming all-expenses-paid lavish retreat at a five-star hotel in Hawaii to see demonstrations of the beds and to hear a comprehensive sales pitch. Betty thought to herself, ?We badly need some relaxation and stress relief. Hawaii would be so much fun. Would it be wrong for us to go??

If you were Betty, what would you do? Give your rationale. Justify your answer n ethical framework?a theory, approach, or principle.
Do you consider this situation a conflict of interest? Why or why not? Give your rationale.
What policies, if any, should be in place regarding a scenario such as this one?ÿ Do you have any such policies in place at work for similar situations? Do such policies impact day-to-day activities in any way?ÿ Explain.

Exercise 2 :ÿ
You have a number of trucks with which to deliver a set of packages. Each package starts at some location on a grid map, and has a destination somewhere else. Each truck is directly controlled by moving forward and turning. Construct a hierarchy of high-level actions for this problem. What knowledge about the solution does your hierarchy encode?
Exercise 3 : 25 Points
In your local nuclear power station, there is an alarm that senses when a temperature gauge exceeds a given threshold. The gauge measures the temperature of the core. Consider the Boolean variables A (alarm sounds), FA (alarm is faulty), and FG (gauge is faulty) and the multivalued nodes G (gauge reading) and T (actual core temperature).
a. Draw a Bayesian network for this domain, given that the gauge is more likely to fail when the core temperature gets too high.
b. Is your network a polytree? Why or why not?
c. Suppose there are just two possible actual and measured temperatures, normal and high; the probability that the gauge gives the correct temperature is x when it is working, but y when it is faulty. Give the conditional probability table associated with G.
d. Suppose the alarm works correctly unless it is faulty, in which case it never sounds. Give the conditional probability table associated .
e. Suppose the alarm and gauge are working and the alarm sounds. Calculate an expression for the probability that the temperature of the core is too high, in terms of the various conditional probabilities in the network.
