E-Marketing Strategies

President Learner needs your help in grasping the e-marketing approach. He has e-mailed a request for three distinctions between the traditional marketing methods of his company and the online techniques of the e-business it is merging with.

Explain the following to President Learner:

  • What are a couple of differences in MedEd versus CHC, in any of the stages of the e-marketing program strategy process used in this course, as the case begins? The e-marketing program strategy process has the following stages:
    • Mission
    • Critical Analysis/SWOT
    • Target Market Sought
    • Value Proposition(s)/University Brand Image(s) Desired
    • Marketing Mix Specifics that Support Value Proposition(s)/University Brand Image(s) Desired
  • What are external marketing environment factors that differentiate the two schools?
  • How are the target market customer characteristics and consumption behaviors different?

Support your rationale by including Web links to at least 1 site for a traditional marketing company and 1 site for an online e-marketing company. The Web resources do not have to pertain to the health care market, but they should demonstrate the organization’s marketing strategy and approach.

Using data analysis in excel

Using Data Analysis in Excel

Shown below are rental and leasing revenue figures for office machinery and equipment in the United States over a 7-year period according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Use this data and the regression tool in the Data Analysis ToolPak to run a linear regression.

Based on the formula you get from the regression output, answer the following questions:

a)    What is the forecast for the rental and leasing revenue for the year 2011?

b)    How confident are you in this forecast? Explain your answer by citing the relevant metrics.

In the summary tables below, insert only the answers. You will show work after the summary section.

Of the four areas of study listed above, which would you focus on first?

Organization: State Government Agencies

Area of Interest: Economy and Job

Why this issue hinders organizational efficiency: pay decreases performances, diversity is decrease. Less people willing to accept pay because of the workload

Organizational behavior is really the combination of four areas of study – psychology, social psychology, sociology, and anthropology.

While each of these areas involves an examination of people and their interactions, the focuses are quite different:

Psychology – studies the mind and how people make decisions.
Social Psychology – examines how people work in groups.
Sociology – explores how systems work within the organization.
Anthropology – examines how culture works within the organization.

Now, assume that you are an organizational consultant and have been asked by a new CEO to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the organization.

  • Of      the four areas of study listed above, which would you focus on first?
  • Make      sure to explain why you chose this area, and why it would take precedence      over the other areas
Imagine you are part of a forager’s group (hunter-gatherer) and you recently experienced a drought

Imagine you are part of a forager’s group (hunter-gatherer) and you recently experienced a drought of several years that depleted your access to water resources and as a result to vegetation. In addition, animals that you and your group hunted died or left the area in search of water. Your group decided you must leave and join another group to be able to survive. Your foraging group consists of the following people:

• You and your spouse (both of you of childbearing age)
• Two male relatives ages 18-35
• One female married age 19
• One female married age 26
• One female single age 17
• A 6 month old baby
• An 80 year old female relative

You identified a group with resources across the mountains, but they are two weeks away and you only have food to sustain your group for a week. Not all of you will be able to travel to join the neighboring band; some may need to stay behind. Who would you take with you to improve your chances of survival? Who would you leave behind? What are you planning to take with you to secure an exchange with the other group to get the needed resources? Explain why you made those decisions.
