Based on the descriptions of the positions and leadership roles that need to be filled, what 3-4 qualities are you looking for in a candidate? Provide a rationale.

One of the most important responsibilities a principal has is to hire the very best staff to educate and care for students. Reflecting upon the skills of teachers needed in order to determine teaching assignments is essential practice.

Review either the “Antelope High School Hiring Scenario” or the “Antelope Elementary School Hiring Scenario” to inform the assignment.

In 750-1,000 words, provide short answers to the following questions regarding how you would fill the remaining positions:

  • Based on the descriptions of the positions and leadership roles that need to be filled, what 3-4 qualities are you looking for in a candidate? Provide a rationale.
  • Who will sit on the interview committee? Will you use the same interview team for all positions? Why or why not? Explain your reasoning.
  • Are there positions you will try to fill prior to others? Why or why not?
  • Identify 4-5 questions you plan to use in the interview. Will you include any performance or behavior focused questions? Why or why not? Explain your reasoning.
  • Identify 3-4 legalities you will have to take into account when completing the hiring process. How will these legalities affect your decision-making? Describe actions you might take to address these issues.
  • How will your decisions align with the Christian values of promoting human flourishing, compassion, and concern for the common good?

Support your findings with 3-5 scholarly resources.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

What details did the patient provide regarding their chief complaint and symptomology to derive your differential diagnosis?

assignment

  • Based on your SOAP note of this patient, develop a case study presentation.
  • Your presentation should include objectives for your audience, at least 3 possible discussion questions/prompts for your classmates to respond to, and at least 5 scholarly resources to support your diagnostic reasoning and treatment plan.
  • State 3–4 objectives for the presentation that are targeted, clear, use appropriate verbs from Bloom’s taxonomy, and address what the audience will know or be able to do after viewing.
  • Present the full complex case study. Include chief complaint; history of present illness; any pertinent past psychiatric, substance use, medical, social, family history; most recent mental status exam; current psychiatric diagnosis including differentials that were ruled out; and plan for treatment and management.
  • Report normal diagnostic results as the name of the test and “normal” (rather than specific value). Abnormal results should be reported as a specific value.
  • Pose three questions or discussion prompts, based on your presentation, that your colleagues can respond to after viewing your video.
  • Be succinct in your presentation, and do not exceed 8 minutes. Specifically address the following for the patient, using your SOAP note as a guide.
    • Subjective: What details did the patient provide regarding their chief complaint and symptomology to derive your differential diagnosis? What is the duration and severity of their symptoms? How are their symptoms impacting their functioning in life?
    • Objective: What observations did you make during the psychiatric assessment?
    • Assessment:Discuss their mental status examination results. What were your differential diagnoses? Provide a minimum of three possible diagnoses and why you chose them. List them from highest priority to lowest priority. What was your primary diagnosis, and why? Describe how your primary diagnosis aligns with DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria and is supported by the patient’s symptoms.
    • Plan:What was your plan for psychotherapy (include one health promotion activity and patient education)? What was your plan for treatment and management, including alternative therapies? Include pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatments, alternative therapies, and follow-up parameters, as well as a rationale for this treatment and management plan.  Discuss an identified social determinate of health impacting this patient’s mental health status and provide your recommendation for a referral to assist this patient in meeting this identified need (students will need to conduct research on this topic both in the literature and for community resources).
    • Reflection notes:What would you do differently with this patient if you could conduct the session again? If you are able to follow up with your patient, explain whether these interventions were successful and why or why not. If you were not able to conduct a follow-up, discuss what your next intervention would be.

CS 340/440 Final Exam Report

Instructions: For the Final Exam Report, you will be doing a simple forensic investigation of a hard drive image.  In the scenario below you are asked to answer certain questions through examination of this system.

This part of the exam is worth 60 points (3 points per question, 3 points for any grammar or spelling errors per question).

You will submit a forensic report that includes the answer to the questions, along with supporting evidence to show how you got the answers.  Keep in mind the answer to a question might be that there is no evidence of something actually occurring (because it didn’t), so if you can’t find evidence that something did happen, then that’s your answer (and how you confirmed it).  This is designed to test your investigation skills, applying the lab/homework assignments we’ve done over the semester, and the reading you’ve been assigned. Remember the way to answer a question may come from your reading assignments, not necessarily something I covered in a lecture.

Since this will be similar to an “official” report, make sure you include things like:

  • Software used and versions
  • Any testing you did to confirm your findings

Ground Rules:

  • Your final report is to be submitted to me electronically by 12/16/2022 at 6:00pm Central. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Make sure your name is on EVERY page of the report. Put it in the header or footer.
  • You are allowed to ask for help from your fellow classmates or work in groups.
  • You are allowed to search for information online to help you answer the questions.
  • You are NOT allowed to ask for help from anyone outside of your classmates in the Fall 2022 CS340/440 class.
  • You must submit your own individual report. I don’t want to receive 20+ copies of the same report.
  • I will take off points for spelling/grammatical errors!
  • You may use any forensic software tool to find the answers. Not just the tools on your Windows 10 VM.
  • You can copy the hard drive image to another machine. You do not have to do the examination on the Lab VM’s. OneDrive folder with the image can be found here: Final Exam Evidence
  • You must submit your report via Sakai in the Assignments section. If your file is too large for Sakai you can either email it to me, or send me a link to where I can download it.
  • DO NOT SIMPLY SUBMIT A DOCUMENT WITH THE QUESTIONS AND THE ANSWERS. You will lose 30 points right off the bat for doing that.
  • You do not HAVE to use all the sections of a report we discussed in class. Use whatever headings are appropriate for your report.

Take advantage of the SANS DFIR Posters under Resources (Week Fifteen) for locations of different artifacts in Windows.

Scenario: On December 16th, 2022 you were contracted to perform a forensic analysis for Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe, LLP.  The CEO of Kidco, William L. Howard has been compromised by an unknown individual. He believes it began sometime around November 19th, 2021. Mr. Howard is concerned that company information has been stolen off of his computer. He recalls receiving an email with an attachment that would not open prior to the 19th, but he’s not sure on the exact date.

Kidco had another security incident in 2020, but that was handled by another firm. As part of the company’s security improvements from that incident, they started testing an open source program called Velociraptor to monitor their workstations and servers. However the software has not been fully implemented yet and was unavailable for this current incident.

A third party forensic firm, Grouppunch, was brought in to image the hard drive of Mr. Howard’s computer. A copy of that image has been provided for your investigation.

Along with the EWF files in your Case Evidence folder is a text file (verification_hashes.txt) that contains the SHA256 hashes for the individual files. This is NOT the hash for the acquisition of the entire hard drive image, that is contained in the 2022FALL340-440.E01.txt file.

Remember when you drag and drop the first E01 image file into EnCase, it will automatically load the other EWF/E0* files in the directory.

You are being tasked with examining the evidence, and providing a forensic report on your findings based on the following questions:

  • What is the Disk Signature?
  • Parse out the Master Boot Record and provide the following data for the valid partitions:
    1. Partition Type
    2. Starting sector
    3. Partition Size
  • Find out the following information about the machine:
    1. Computer Name
    2. Time Zone of Computer
    3. Last Shutdown Time
  • When did the unknown individual get access to Mr. Howard’s laptop?
  • How did the unknown individual get access to Mr. Howard’s laptop?
  • Is there any evidence the unknown individual placed malware on Mr Howard’s laptop?
  • Was any information potentially stolen off of Mr. Howard’s laptop?
  • Is there any possible indication that Mr. Howard was in on the scheme?
  • Is there any evidence that the unknown individual accessed any other systems on the network?
  • Put a timeline together that shows the activity of the unknown individual on Mr. Howard’s machine.

Based on the information collected, do you feel it is a good idea to continue with the implementation of the business? Explain why or why not.

Wk 3 Market Analysis Research

Section 1 – Business overview, mission and vision

Describe a proposed business of your choice. Address the following in your summary:

  • What type of product/service will it offer?
  • What is the intended market?
  • What is the business model?

Articulate the business’s mission and vision statements.

Section 2 – Market analysis

Based on your intended product or service, describe the characteristics of your customer base.

Investigate and list your current competitors. For example, if you’re manufacturing and selling exercise equipment, current competitors would be companies like NordicTrack or Nautilus, Inc. To simplify the process, limit yourself to businesses you are competing directly against. If your business is a local bistro, then your competitors are other local similar restaurants.

Research and estimate the size of your intended market. Market size is the number of potential customers or unit sales for your products/services. Consider the nature of your business when researching market size. For instance, if your business is a local bistro, then your market size is determined by the population within a reasonable radius of the restaurant, say, 5-15 miles maximum. On the other hand, if your business intends to sell a low-weight mountain bicycle online, then the market size is the average number of low-weight mountain bicycles sold nationwide annually.

Estimate the value of your market. Market value is the potential revenues the market has to offer. For instance, suppose low-weight mountain bicycles have a market size of 300,000 units a year with a $500 average price. Then the market value would be $150,000,000.

It can be difficult to estimate market value as you must make assumptions related to market size and average unit price. Use the expected value concept introduced in Chapter 6 of the textbook and the chart below to do the estimation.

Expected Market Value: Mountain Bicycle Scenario

Assumptions Probability p(x) Units (‘000) Avg. Unit Price ($) Market Value (‘$000) Expected Market Value (‘$000)
Pessimistic 0.2 100 450 45,000 9,000
Most Likely 0.5 100 500 50,000 25,000
Optimistic 0.3 100 550 55,000 16,500
Totals 1.0 300 500 150,000 50,500

Calculations:

Probability, P(x) must sum to 1.0 (100%)

Market Value = Units * Ave. Unit Price ($)

Expected Market Value = Market Value * Probability

Estimate the total addressable market or TAM. This is the fraction of the total market you realistically estimate to get. Most businesses have a relatively modest market share, well under 20%. For example, if we expect to get a 5% share of the mountain bicycle market, then our TAM would be 0.05 * $50,500,000 = $2,525,000 or approximately $2.5 million.

Section 3: Recommendation

Based on the information collected, do you feel it is a good idea to continue with the implementation of the business? Explain why or why not.

What other marketing mediums do this company seem to participate in?

This first project focuses on selecting a company and a target audience for the media marketing plan. The chosen company should be any major publicly traded company within the clothing, restaurant, or consumer electronics industry.  The goal is to ensure that the company is public, so there is an opportunity to conduct research on the company via open research resources.  Focus on a company you have an interest in, but also one that you believe has an opportunity for you to formulate a vision for how to develop media strategies to resonate with consumers and drive competitive advantage

In this first project, the following questions need to be answered:

  1. Who is the company?
  2. What is a brief overview of the company?
    1. Their history
    2. Mission and vision statements
    3. Types of product/services they offer
    4. Their current market share or most recent year fiscal earnings that can be found
  3. Digital Media presence, do they have:
    1. Website
    2. Social Media, if so what channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
    3. Referral presence on a coupon or other blog sites?
      1. **For all the above just listing out examples is important. It’s important to understand the company’s digital media presence in this first milestone, just to get acclimated with how the company operates digitally today in marketing and connecting with consumers. Future projects will dive further into how content is sued on these types of websites.
  4. What other marketing mediums do this company seem to participate in?
  5. What is your initial opinion of their digital media presence?

It should fundamentally introduce the company, and an initial assessment of the current standing of the digital media marketing strategies.

The assignment should be in the same power point format. Any PowerPoint format and template is at the student discretion but must be in a professional tone and font size.  Part of the evaluation of the presentation is the executive presences of the work, just as the business world.

This powerpoint should be approximately 6-8 slides with a title and references slide, although those do not count towards the minimum expectation of 6-8.
