Personality disorders | Psychology homework help

ÿ
NPSP shows the spectrum of normalcy for the 14 personality traits identified within that book. The traits: Leisurely, Self Sacrificing, Aggressive, Serious correspond with which PDs (on that page)?ÿ
These PDs are no longer recognized by the DSM. Do some digging. See if you can find any information on them on the internet (cite your source), the older version of the DSMs had a few of these listed in the index so maybe try there. When you find that information use it the same way you did in the previous discussions to compare the personality traits to the actual disorders. Discuss where normalcy stops and pathologies begin. Do any of these PDs sound similar to the ones we are studying? Also do you think these PDs should be resurrected, why or why not?

Week 1 Project
Over the next four weeks, you will review and analyze a pre-intervention elementary school asthma database from a community that has four elementary schools. Each week, you will write a short paper describing the role of an informatician in regard to data capture and use within the Public Health Information Management Systems (PHIS) and Public Health Information Network (PHIN). You will explore the data elements, database technologies, analytics, and processes used by an informatician including data capture, scrubbing, coding, warehousing, managing, and reporting of public health information.
In Week 5, you will complete a comprehensive term paper and PowerPoint presentation that demonstrates a public health needs assessment using your primary asthma source data. Your paper and presentation should show why an asthma prevention intervention program is needed in the selected community and summarize how you came to your conclusions. The objective of this five-week project is for you to demonstrate the processes used in public health informatics through its application.
You will begin your course project by explaining how data is collected, scrubbed, coded, and stored within the PHIS. You will then explain how data is organized in databases, using the asthma data provided below. You will describe the data elements in the spreadsheet and the processes of an informatician by answering the questions below.
Click here to download the asthma data for 2013.

Phi 445 week 3 assignment

ÿÿ
Case Analysis: Case Studies: Lehman Brothers, British Petroleum, Monsanto, Merck, Goodyear, Perdue Farms
In the Week Three Discussion, you selected a current business problem from the following case categories:
ú Banking
ú Fuel and the Environment
ú GMOs
ú Factory Farming
ú Pharmaceuticals
ú Gender Discrimination
In this written assignment, you will present your work on the case analysis using selected components of an argumentative essay as described in Sections 9.1 and 9.2 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Hardy, Foster, & Z£¤iga y Postigo, 2015). This written assignment will include a revised and polished version of your discussion work, the presentation and support of two premises, and an analysis of how your chosen ethical theory offers the best moral solution to the business problem in your case analysis.
Using the components of the argumentative essay located in Sections 9.1 and 9.2 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Hardy, Foster, & Z£¤iga y Postigo (2015), your assignment should include the following:
An introduction. This is the ?Problem? portion of the essay that is covered in Section 9.1: The Argumentative Essay (Hardy, Foster, & Z£¤iga y Postigo, 2015). This should be an improved version of the introduction in your initial post, revised on the basis of your professor?s feedback and additional research. In this introduction you will need to (a) identify the specific issue or problem that you want to address and give an impartial presentation of the controversy, (b) articulate briefly the characteristics of the economic system that serves as the setting for the business, and (c) examine the laws that affect the operations of the business. The introduction should be one paragraph of around 200 words in length.
A thesis. Start a new paragraph precise and clear sentence in which you state your moral position with regard to the case that you presented in your first paragraph. This is known as stating your thesis. (See the ?Thesis? passage in ?The Argumentative Essay? in Hardy, Foster, & Z£¤iga y Postigo, 2015). The thesis you state here should be an improved version of the thesis in your initial post in the discussion, revised on the basis of your professor?s feedback and your reading of ?The Argumentative Essay? indicated above.
A thesis is only one sentence, so do not write a series of sentences, or a complex sentence with explanatory clauses (e.g., ?because?? or ?since?? or ?according to Dr. Mary Expert, an economist with the Bureau of Labor statistics??, or ?a law that was ratified with 80% votes in favor??). An example of a precise and clear thesis is this: ?Factory farms are not morally justifiable? or, of course, the opposite point of view: ?Factory farms are morally justifiable.? Keep in mind that your thesis in this assignment will be the basis for the argumentative essay of the Week Five written assignment, so take your time when formulating this thesis.
Ethical theory. In the same second paragraph as the thesis statement, identify the ethical theory that supports your moral position. You may choose from utilitarianism, duty ethics, or virtue ethics. Present the characteristics of the ethical theory in a broad sketch, and include citations and references in APA form. Then, apply your chosen ethical theory by explaining how it lends itself to the moral position that you are defending.
Two premises. Present at least two reasons in support of your thesis and these should be presented in the form of a claim. These are called premises. Articulate each premise in one clear and grammatically correct sentence. Review Section 9.1 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Foster, Hardy, and Z£¤iga y Postigo, 2015). Start a new paragraph for each.
In the rest of the paragraph, support your premise by presenting an analysis of how the ethical theory lends itself to the best solution. This analysis includes articulating the characteristics(s) of the economic system at work that support the claims in your premises. It also includes examining the effects of the law(s) at work that also support the claims in your premises.
Comparative analysis. In the final paragraph, analyze how this application lends itself to a solution that is superior to that offered by one of the ethical theories that you did not select. To do this, provide a clear statement describing the moral solution offered by this other theory. For example, if you chose utilitarianism to apply to your case, then you can choose from either virtue ethics or deontology for your comparative analysis. Explain in no more than three sentences what moral solution would result from the application of this other ethical theory. See the ?Sample Case Analysis? for an illustration of how this would look like. Finally, analyze the strengths of the moral solution presented by your chosen ethical theory in ways that demonstrate how it is superior to the moral solution offered by the other ethical theory.
Once you receive your assignment back from your professor, start working on revisions based on your professor?s feedback. This is the first step in preparing your Final Project and the details are presented on the Final Project?s prompt. You will benefit from starting your Final Project as soon as you receive your assignment back from your professor.
Requirements for Your Assignment:
ú Your assignment should be 1000 words in length, excluding the title page and reference page(s).
ú Your examination should be both thorough and succinct. This is a combination that demands time and thought, so give yourself sufficient time to draft and revise.
ú Your assignment should include citations, as well as a list of references. Both must be in APA form.
ú You should draw from the sources provided in your chosen case category in the discussion this week.
ú Also refer to Section 9.1: The Argumentative Essay and the introduction to Section 9.2: Strengthening the Argumentative Essay (intro only for the latter) from Hardy, J., Foster, C., & Z£¤iga y Postigo, G. (2015).
ú Your references should include at least two scholarly sources from your own research in the Ashford University Library, Google Scholar (this is not the same as Google), or the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. No Wikipedia articles and the like should be included in the references, nor employed to inform your paper. Also keep in mind that dictionary definitions are not references in the academic sense.Your assignment should be submitted no later than the end of Monday (11:59 pm, U.S. Mountain time).
Carefully review the Grading Rubric (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.

Peer response due today | Psychology homework help

Each response to another must be at least 175 words in length.
If asked to post your opinion or reaction/reflection as part of an initial discussion post, you must still incorporate reference support. While opinions and reactions are personal and subjective in nature, they need references and citations for support. This approach reflects knowledge acquisition as well as application and synthesis of content. In other words, always support your work with resources. This is also applies to article reviews and/or reflection exercises?you still must have at least two references?.one of which will always be your textbook.

(Peer response)
1. ÿDescribe what these scores mean.
Internal consistency reliability coefficient of .92 means that excellent reliability and it is an acceptable test to give. Our textbook defines reliability as, ?the proportion of the total variance attributed to true variance? (Cohen & Swerdlik, 2018 p. 142). Without reliability tests lack consistency therefore they become less useful because they also lack validity (Drummond & Jones, 2006).Tests are considered reliability if they produce the same results each time the test is used. Alternate forms of reliability coefficient .82 means the test is still reliable because the score is considered high, however, the test is not as reliable as the test with the internal consistency reliability coefficient .92 (Cohen & Swerdlik, 2018). Lastly, test-retest reliability coefficient .50 tests the average of the two scores of the test that were given and that is considered a low score.
2. ÿSynthesize all of these interpretations into a final evaluation about this test utility or usefulness & Synthesize all of these interpretations into a final evaluation about this test’s utility or usefulness.
The internal consistency reliability coefficient .92 means 92 % of the time this test produces accurate results, that leaves only a chance for error 8% of the time. The alternate forms reliability coefficient .82 means that 82% of the time this test produces accurate results, that score is still high enough for reliability however, not as high as the internal consistency reliability coefficient. Lastly, the test-retest reliability coefficient .50 means that 50% of the time this test produces accurate results, which is the least reliability of the 3 test types (Cohen & Swerdlik, 2018). All and all, each of these tests would be useful however, in my field of Applied Behavior Analysis I find the test-retest score to be most interesting because I would like to see growth and this test is given in two separate parts. Test 1 and then later, Test 2, allowing to see improvement in the test participate. It sounds as thought test-retest is made to show growth, and that is what we shrive for in my field.
3. ÿExplain whether these data are acceptable
Internal consistency reliability coefficient .92 alternate forms reliability coefficient .82 is an extremely reliable data point, however. The test-retest .50 is less reliable (Cohen & Swerdlik, 2018).
4. ÿExplain under what conditions they may not be acceptable and under what conditions, if any, they may be appropriate.
Test-retest reliability coefficient may not always be the best test to use because it shows change over time and sometimes that is not what we need. Alternate forms reliability coefficient may not be appropriate sometimes because it becomes difficult to develop two equivalent tests to administer. Lastly, internal consistency reliability coefficient is only good in instances where the test is homogenous, if the test is not the data may not be acceptable (Drummond & Jones, 2006).
