In total, this assignment should be 1 to 2 pages (250 to 500 words) using 12-point Times New Roman and 1-inch margins. Identify a current social trend that you have witnessed, perhaps situated around family, education, transportation, or finances. For example, many veterans of the armed forces, after completing tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, are returning to college rather than entering jobs as previous generations did. What is a social trend you have observed? Choose one of the theorists discussed in Chapter 4 (Durkheim, Marx, or Weber), and use their arguments to explain the social trend.
