The Hyundai corporation is building a large factory in Bryan County, GA, to produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries and vehicles. It is the primary manufacturer with secondary factories also opening to support the main plant. Tertiary businesses will also open to support the secondary factories. Altogether these new businesses may employ more than 20,000 people with 2/3rds expected to move to work from Hyundai from outside the area.
