Improving the Standard Operating Procedures in Organizations Analysis
Understanding your system is a critical first step, but improving your system is critical to create organizations of progress. This unit focuses specifically on what people and teams can do to continuously improve the standard operating procedures within the larger organization. We start with an understanding of W. Edwards Demings 14 points, then really dig into the Plan DoCheckAct cycle. We uncover how to approach continuous improvement opportunities, how to be aware of human nature vs. improvement process, how to execute 5 whys and gemba walks.For this assignment:Conduct 2 5 Whys on a real problems at your work (orgnization). Document and discuss your findings in 200 words or more for each.Conduct at least one gemba walk at work and write an additional 500 word on the approach, execution and findings of the gemba.
