INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSESSMENT:

 

This assignment is a qualitative lab report.

After having conducted and transcribed an interview individually (on a topic set by the module team), and then being provided with additional interview transcripts, the students are required to write a full lab report based on the combined data (the report must be an individual write up) from the field research. Students will apply the 6-stages of Thematic Analysis to the combined dataset.

The typed report should not exceed the word length identified above and this word length includes the Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, but does not include the Title Page, References and Appendices. Quotes are also not included in the word count.

The Appendices must contain: Reflexivity, interview schedule, transcribed and coded interview transcripts, and any other material the student believes is important but which does not fit neatly into the main body of the practical.

Appropriate referencing is required in this assignment. All references must be in accordance with APA guidelines.
