How has the knowledge and skills developed throughout your Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice contributed to the completion of the project your group developed in this course?
Task Description
Assessment 4: Self-Reflection and Peer Evaluation
(Week 13)
Assessment 4 is an individual task; each individual member of the team will submit their self-reflection and peer evaluation separately.
You will reflect on your own experience in the group. You will consider and respond to these five questions with your reflective essay:
How has the knowledge and skills developed throughout your Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice contributed to the completion of the project your group developed in this course?
In this section, you will need to research the knowledge and skills one is expected to have developed throughout a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice degree and use that to connect its relevance to the project we completed. In our project, we were asked to look into Indigenous (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) family violence and develop a programme that will help with the problem. In this section, you will need to identify knowledge and skills in the field of criminology and connect their relevance to this project in the form of a reflection. Be sure to have a reasonable ab=mount of references as it is still academic work.
What industry-relevant skills have you learned while undertaking this project? Be specific.
For this section, I will upload the course profile including the graduate attribute expected to have gained at the completion of this course. I will also upload our weekly topic content that was covered, and you can research it further.
How well have you fulfilled your responsibilities as a team member? Consider how you have fulfilled your obligations under the team contract, including attending scheduled team meetings and meeting agreed deadlines.
I will upload the contract. I was the lead researcher so I also initial contact in terms of meeting and making sure everyone will be attending, once the meeting commences anyone that has committed to attending and has not yet attended, I will contact them to see if they are coming or find out the holdup. I always submit my work by the deadline and so did my teammates
What would you change about your own contribution if you were to retake this class?
Maybe I will talk less especially during our team meetings. Sometimes I use to feel like I talk too much and before others could say things I would have probably to say what they were thinking. I cannot think of something for this section but you can make something positive up that is relevant to a team project and group work.
What was your experience working in a team? What resources were most helpful? What resources could have made the experience better?
My experience working with the team was a good one and every team member made considerable effort in showing up for meetings and following up on commitments. Everyone had what they brought to the table that was unique in its own way. Human resources were the most helpful resource we had I will say unless and try to connect the usefulness of Human resources in relation to group projects. In terms of experience working as a group, we were able to work effectively enough to maintain our professional relations, the group we created and decided to keep in contact with for the purpose of networking. In terms of useful resources, we can reference the teaching team that was always open to reading our work and giving us feedback on what needed to be improved to get a better outcome or meet requirements. I am not really sure when it comes to what resources could have made the experience better, I am not sure as I do not have anything in mind, but you can look at everything I have provided, and then come up with something positive that would have helped or better the experience.
There is no word limit for the essay, but we encourage students to write less than 1500 words (or 300 words per prompt). Again, there is no limit, so if you want to write more or less, that is perfectly fine. The teaching team will be reading each to ensure that the question is fully answered.
You should attach evidence (e.g. screenshots of emails, communication, etc) of your contributions.
You will need to write this in the form of a reflective essay but make sure you have addressed every single point that is listed in the form of a question. Keep in mind we will be assessed based on how we can effectively reflect on these questions. You could link some of the skills in the self-reflection essays to connect it’s relevant to this group project.
