Critically evaluate the contention that either harmony or conflict would constitute the normal condition of employment relations.
Group Presentation. Each presentation group will consist of 4/5 group members depending on class numbers. Each presentation group will answer ONE from THREE presentation topic options. Each presentation will be 12/15 minutes in duration. Group Presentations take place in Weeks 11 and 12 of the tutorial programme (See Module Handout).
Group Presentation Questions:
- Critically evaluate the contention that either harmony or conflict would constitute the normal condition of employment relations.
- Are the concepts of unitarism and pluralism sufficient to fully understand the employment relationship? Critically discuss this question.
- Critically assess whether HRM would represent a new kind of employment relationship or a continuation of traditional employment relations.
