efficacy by using verbal, written and digital information.

improving integrated service responses

Work alongside young people to develop their sense of empowerment and responsibility in relation to sexual health

allowing them to make sensible decisions.

Deliver structured and accessible services aiming to reduce healthcare inequalities.

This business case aims to support awareness of the most effective emergency contraception by creating a communitybased

group to deliver planned education to girls and young women aged between 15-24.

Croydon has the highest population in London, accounting for an estimated number of 44,400 people aged between 15-24

which 55% are from black and minority ethnic group. It also shows that repeated abortions amongst under 25 years old is

also (36.5%) higher than London. Current statistics also underlines that in Croydon, teenage pregnancies are mostly

frequent in female subjects under 18 years (32.5 per 1,000); in comparison to London with the rate of (21.8 per 1,000) and

England presenting rates of (24.3 per 1,000) (Healthwatch, 2017).

The proposal aims at requesting £14,000,00 to fund the implementation of the project for the period of a year.

The budget will cover the recruitment of sexual health specialist nurses, pharmacists, venues, and to also cover

expenses related to advertisement.

The project will be able to accommodate 15 service users, once a week on Saturdays for 1 hour for 12 months.

Support and promote integration between primary care and community hubs to advance quality care as well as

support sexual health interventions and services.

The project will be delivered face-to-face to enhance communication and interactivity with young service users
