Research Question(RQ) and keynote to remember.

The feedback I got from my lecturer during our one on one regarding the expectation of this task. I have chosen the same topic as the first assessment. The research question has been improved so it is more specific.

Make sure your writing is sharp and avoid phrases such as the fact that, so this means that, and this is interesting because focus language assists with delivering your argument. It would help if you logically built your argument so that your idea flows throughout the paper.

Ensure the variables have a specific relationship with the research question and hypothesis.

Your research question must be spot on because without a good RQ, you will not be able to collect data that will support your claims.

Make sure you define the data or data collections correctly.

What is the relationship between the length of unemployment in months and self-reported crimes from adults aged 21 to 45 in Brisbane, Queensland?

 

To be able to faithfully communicate the relationship between these two variables, you will need to look at data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and compare unemployment and crime rates.

Based every aspect of the research on previous empirical articles that have examined aspects of relevance to your research question. This will give you a logically defensible paper.

Make sure you follow the Exemplar and address every point in the section. Make sure you are only looking at empirical studies that are directly relevant to your RQ. The ABS has lots of information as well that you can explore. Keep in mind that this research is focused on Australia and Brisbane, Queensland, specifically. If you are going to look at studies outside of this demographic, make sure that they are particularly important to your research question.
