Research on themes in the context of mediaeval society

The short research essay aims to test student skills in knowledge (Demonstrate an understanding of key events and themes which shaped the European Middle Ages, and their historical significance.) and analysis of historical problems (Examine a historical issue and consider how it might be variously interpreted in scholarship). Furthermore, it examines student ability to construct and support arguments based on evidence and offers the opportunity to refine research and referencing skills (Refine proficiency in the use of footnotes and the compilation of a bibliography).

Task

Research ONE of the following themes in the context of mediaeval society: power, faith, poverty, gender, childhood, chivalry, war, fate, fortune, identity, antiquity, wealth, science, astrology, climate, vengeance, sexuality, femininity, masculinity, fidelity, marriage, justice, avarice, sin, pride, social order, humour, happiness, morality, or sustenance, and then answer the following questions:

i) What was the mediaeval attitude(s) to your chosen theme?

ii) Does Chaucer’s representation of your theme in The Canterbury Tales coincide with your findings?

iii) Can Chaucer’s text be considered a reliable historical source for mediaeval history?

A developmental proposal plan on women of Rwanda in agriculture: What steps will it take to get them to own land in Africa

Identification of the problem (describe the problem, its scope, show why and how it’s an important problem and worthy of attention, and finish with a problem statement)

What are you proposing? How will you address the problem you just described? This section should also include goals and objectives (why are you proposing this project, and what do you really want to accomplish?). Goals are usually broad statements, for instance improving women’s nutrition in rural villages; objectives would lay out the ways in which you would do this-awareness/media campaign, vegetable gardening projects, etc. You should justify the choices you’ve made.

Methods/approach (What methods will you use to achieve your objectives? For instance, if you proposed a vegetable gardening project, you would have to determine how you would go about accomplishing this task-would you train villagers, send workers out into rural areas, dig wells, provide seeds, etc.? There are many issues to work out). Some things to consider include:

Key stakeholders (who are the important people who need to be involved-whether with government agencies, village chiefs, etc.)

Planning and participation (how will you involve the intended beneficiaries? Who will manage the project?

Scale (nationwide, region-wide, village-wide, working only with women, working with whole villages, certain ethnic groups-there are geographical questions, ethnic/religious/cultural questions, as well as the scope of work)

Time—what is the time frame for the project?

Evaluation—how will you know if the project was a success? What might be important measures?

I would like you to briefly describe at least one alternative method that you decided not to use (or at least one other that could address the problem), and why the method you chose is preferable.

Resource implications-

Impacts/potential barriers-well-designed projects think through how they might impact different groups of people, and what the barriers to their success might be. You’re expected to engage in some informed speculation on these.

Design principles-some of the important principles of development we’ll discuss in class include grassroots participation (bottom-up vs top-down), collective action, flexibility, sustainability, leverage, scale, using local resources (increasing self-reliance), transparency, appropriate technology and transformatory potential. You’ll want to discuss which of these, if any, you’ve incorporated into your project, and how. Keeping in mind that incorporation of these design principles increases the likelihood of your project’s sustainability and success.

Documentation—you need to cite the sources you use, in the references section at the end of the proposal and in the text, too (Grigsby 2009). Use APA format just to standardize this. I want to know from where you drew your information, and expect you will have done some research—I’ve given you many possible sources of both conceptual and practical information.

Perform an online case study on the role of Commerce in achieving the wider goals of society while maintaining an authentic worldview.

Case studies are an important tool of assessment used to see how the complexities of real-life influence decisions from Christian and alternate school contexts. Develop an online activity that is a sequence of lessons that draws on other disciplines to understand the role of Commerce in achieving the wider goals of society while maintaining an authentic worldview. Your study should connect to your work in the classroom and must articulate the need for recent evidence-based research; to support the development/design decisions made by the teacher. As a starting point review recent Commerce assessment that model the use of case studies. In addition to the online activity you develop you are also required to write a report reflecting and analysing the effectiveness of your online activity. Stages essential for analysing and writing a case study report include:

1.Define the task

2.Consider which theories and analysis tools may apply to the situation

3.Make recommendations

4.Form conclusions

5.Write the report

6.Prepare the reference list.

The TES may like to prepare their case study as text-based reports, online or multimedia format. Presentations should be clear, well organised and coherent touching all minute details and data presentation (Graduate Stage: 1.2.1; 1.6.1; 2.1.1; 2.2.1; 3.7.1; 7.3.1; 7.4.1). or for Clinical Teaching Model students: With reference to your CTM Host School teaching situation, select a topic of your choice in consultation with your CTM Regional Director.

Public Health Infrastructure and Essential services of environmental health project

Importance of sound public health infrastructure at the local department level and how the essential services that are integral to the environmental division are related to that infrastructure.

Use any relevant sources that are appropriate example which may include interviews with local health department staff.

Consider National Association of Country and City Health official ( NACCHO) has developed the logo shown below in an effort to make public health more visible in the community like fire and police departments. It also is an attempt to unify local governmental public health across the nation so that the common goal of public health will be universally recognized,

Many local health departments are now utilizing this logo as their official log to promote themselves in the community. How do you feel that this concept ties in with our discussion on public health infrastructure and do you feel that the logo adequately portrays the core functions of public health.

Alternative Modalities

Review information about those therapies on the NCCIH website accessed through the link below.

(Links to an external site.)

Please develop a discussion that responds to each of the following prompts. Where appropriate your discussion needs to be supported by scholarly resources. Be sure to include in-text citations in the context of the discussion and provide a full reference citation at the end of the discussion.

Discussion Prompts

From your review of the NCCIH website you know that about 30% of adults engage with health care modalities not typically considered part of the conventional medical care model.

The likelihood exists that either you or someone you know has utilized complementary, alternative or integrative health care modalities.

1. Reflect on one of those non-conventional modalities that you have experience with.

2. Construct a discussion of that experience utilizing the PDSA model schemata.

3. Support elements of the ‘Plan’ aspect with appropriate information from scholarly resources.

4. Compare the ‘Study’ aspect with findings from scholarly resources.

Demonstrate and apply knowledge of a range of mental health and physical health condition in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centered, evidence-based care.

1. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of a range of mental health and physical health condition in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centered, evidence-based care.

2. Demonstrates understanding of the contribution of social influences, health literacy, behaviors, and lifestyle choices to the mental health and physical health outcome in people, families, and communities.

3. Accurately undertakes risk assessment demonstrating understanding of risk management and health improvement strategies.

4. Interact and engage confidently with family /carers and members of the multidisciplinary team in coordinating care.
