A reflective account on skills learnt, ECG, Chest Ausculation, oxygen Management,

This week at university, we learned new skills in preparation for placement. We had EGG and Cardio-Respiratory worbooks to do on Monday morning, then chest auscultation and ECG with scenarios for several nursing fields in the afternoon. I was particularly taken aback by the chest auscultation, which allowed us to listen to lung and breath sounds. Tuesday was oxygen management, Wednesday was an e-learning video on suctioning, the afternoon was Nasal/oral suctioning and tracheostomy care, and Thursday was a review of the skills we had learned.
