Practicum Project Methodology and Evaluation

Post a brief summary of your Practicum Project focus (My topic is integrating the private transport for my facility West Anaheim Medical Center, this is to decrease wait times for discharges, transfers, and patients who need diagnostic testing, if this is not the same writer I’ve been requesting in the past please message me so I can explain my topic), including the goal and objectives of your project. Explain and justify your selected methodology. Include a detailed explanation of how you could meet each objective using this methodology. Also describe your evaluation plan, noting at which points during your Practicum Project formative and/or summarize evaluation will occur

MOST IMPORTANT PART per my instructor – – – An important aspect of your methodology is that you are asked to address the who, what, where, when and how for EACH objective. It would follow that you restate your objectives to clearly link these notions to this objective.

Here is my previous goals and objectives from previous discussion boards

‘The project’s goal therefore, to improve the quality of healthcare service delivery in my facility when patients need transfer from one facility to another, during discharge and when seeking diagnostic testing. Availability of ambulance services guarantees timely access to medical services, assuring patients of safety and recovery (Bhandari & Yadav, 2020).

Objectives include,

To identify the appropriate ambulance company to work with my facility and provide the necessary transportation services.

To identify and allocate qualified personnel to operate and manage the ambulance services and ensure the wellbeing of patients during transportation.

To distinguish the roles of different stakeholders to ensure cooperation and coordination.

The project’s goal would ensure every patient receives medical care as soon as they need it without worrying about transportation. However, the high-cost ambulance services are a great challenge (Brouhard, 2021). Thus, should the patients pay for ambulance services differently, or should it be included in the patient’s medical cover?’

Thank you again,

Please reach out if you have any questions

Out of Control Grass Fire

You are the director of emergency services for your community. The temperature outside is over 100 degrees, the humidity is only 17%, and the Santa Ana winds have begun to blow. At 10:15 a.m., a grass fire is reported and the local fire department is responding. As these first units arrive on scene they realize that the fire is out of control, and that homes are being threatened.

The on-scene commander quickly calls for additional fire units and for the police to begin evacuating homes that are being threatened. By 1:30 p.m., the fire has grown 10 times its original size and continues out of control; several houses are in immediate danger, and all local resources are now exhausted.

What steps would you take and when would you call for mutual aid? Additionally, at what point would you request federal assistance? Discuss the options available to you as the director of emergency services. Provide a thorough explanation of your choices.

Analyze the role of an emergency manager

For this assignment, you are the emergency manager in your community. The city council has asked that you make a presentation to them on the readiness of the community’s emergency agencies to respond to a major hurricane (category 3 or greater). The city council wants to know the processes you will follow to enlist other cities, counties, the state, or the federal government if needed during this type of emergency.

In your presentation identify, the resources that are available within your community; assets available throughout neighboring cities, the county, state, and the federal governments; and infrastructure organizations such as, public utilities, hospitals, public health, etc. Identify three or more private sector resources that might be required during the emergency. Use the internet to research the resources available in your city, state, and federal governments.

Then distinguish the roles of all of the organizations identified, and break down the specific needs that each organization will fulfill based on an emergency involving a hurricane (category 3 or greater). Discuss how each organization identified will respond to the hurricane both independently and in collaboration with the other organizations you have identified.

Your presentation should be 15 slides in length (excluding title slide and references slide).

This assignment will require outside research. Use at least two credible sources beyond the text material and discuss how you evaluated the credibility of the resources used. You may consult the Purdue Global Library, the internet, the textbook, other course material, and any other outside resources in supporting your task, using proper citations in APA style.

please find peer reviewed articles on the latest advancements in regard to the internationalization of sports. This can be how sports are expanding into the U.S., or from our country to the rest of the world. You may select sports at any level including youth, interscholastic, intercollegiate, club (primary system used outside the U.S.), or professional.

Please share your position on the state of international sports leagues or interactions, as well as how you think this complex issue will play out over the next several years. How are sports expanding internationally? Or, what international sports are gaining momentum in our country? Try to place yourself in the position of sports administrators around the world, as well as governing bodies, athletes, and fans, in order to consider all stakeholders in your analysis. Finally, please defend your position with facts and stakeholder theory or the theory of your choice.

Evaluate and analyze Hurricane Katrina

Response to Hurricane Katrina

The response to Hurricane Katrina, by all standards, was a major failure of the federal, state, and local government’s emergency management systems. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) proved ineffective. Why do you believe that DHS and FEMA proved to be so ineffective in this disaster? Discuss the changes that have occurred since then to improve the emergency response to such disasters, and state whether or not you believe these changes will be effective in similar disasters.
A key piece of legislation was passed following the events to Hurricane Katrina, the Post Katrina Emergency Relief Act (PKEMRA). When responding to this question, you may wish to refer to this literature to help you.

Assessing Risks

You are the director of emergency services for your community and you are responsible for developing an emergency response plan. First, you must identify areas of risk by identifying those natural and technological hazards within your community. Describe how you would go about identifying these natural and technological hazards. How would you assess the potential risk to the community that these hazards present? Discuss ways that you would use to ensure these hazards are updated regularly or whenever they change.
When responding to this question, you may also want to think about the resources that would be available to help you with conducting your research.

The adult population of Laredo, Texas

Reflect on Cornwall’s (1989) mailed questionnaire survey on religious behavior. Share with me your ideas of how you would redesign this survey research design if you were asked to conduct a very similar survey to the ” ADULT POPULATION of Laredo, Texas”? Please focus on aspects of the survey research design (i.e., type of survey, questions, organization of the questionaire, etc.), NOT the sampling.

I will want you to exercise your imagination but all within the concepts and principles we discussed in the module on type of surveys and survey research.

A good answer does at least:

1, Provide a brief summary of the study aim, setup, and major findings

2, Summarize the survey design used by Cornwall

3, Define what type of survey this was and state advantages and disadvantages of this survey type

4, Outline challenges of transferring this survey to Laredo and discuss potential solutions

Medicaid Policy and Dual Eligibles

Based on the Supreme court decision, do you agree or disagree that Medicaid expansion violates Congress’ spending clause power as unconstitutionally coercive of states because it put all existing Medicaid funds at risk and individual states were not given adequate notice to voluntarily consent?

Police Management: Why is recurrent training so important to police personnel? What are some of the consequences for failure to train?

1. Why is recurrent training so important to police personnel? What are some of the consequences for failure to train?

2. What types of topics should be included in police training?

3. Discuss the arguments for and against college education for police officers.

4. Has the relationship between a college education and improved police performance been thoroughly evaluated?

Lab Project: Method Assignment

You will collect data from at least 20 people, using the approved survey submitted with your Introduction. Once you have data from at least 20, you must score the surveys and enter the data into an SPSS file.

Method Section Instructions

format): – Participants – include the number of participants, a description of the participants, and sampling procedures

– Materials – include a description of the survey questions used, including citations where appropriate (e.g., if you use religiosity you should cite Koenig & Bussing 2010 and if you used spirituality you should cite Hodge, 2003)

– Procedure – summarizes where the study took place (e.g., church, small group, Facebook) and the experience of the participants in a detailed and organized manner (Facebook)

– Analysis – state how the variables are operationally defined, alpha value, what statistical test will be used to answer the research question, and what version of SPSS is being used to analyze the data. Hint: Due to the brief nature of the course, the statistical test appropriate for this lab is one that is covered sometime during the first 5 modules of PSYC 515 or from PSYC 510. This will give you enough time to reflect on information you have already learned and run the analysis.
