There are various pay plans that recognize merit and performance with different types of incentive plans

There are various pay plans that recognize merit and performance with different types of incentive plans. In a single company, different business units and goals may set up separate incentive plans to reward work more specifically as it contributes to the overall objectives of the unit. Profit sharing and employee stock ownership plans are popular in private as well as publicly traded companies. The world of pay for performance has taken on a much more sophisticated role in our world of work, especially as our work has changed dramatically from the industrial age to the knowledge age.
Toggle Drawer Questions to Consider To deepen your understanding, you are encouraged to consider the questions below and discuss them with a fellow learner, a work associate, an interested friend, or a member of the business community.
Experience tells us that the practical link of pay to work is not always set up in an equitable environment. Favoritism, nepotism, and other human shortcomings can and do interfere with the implementation of the best plans. How to prevent those shortcomings becomes a difficult challenge for HR managers. If you were designing an incentive plan for a publicly traded company, whose voice do you think should provide that ethical audit at the table of decision makers? The chairman? The board of directors? The shareholders? The employees? The executive team or compensation committee? Outside consultants? Internal HR director? A combination of all of these? Who in your mind would be the best person to ensure that the incentive plan does not cross the line and motivate the wrong kind of behavior—the kind that turns a plan from motivating good behavior into motivating wrong-doing based on the potential for a high reward?
What is an example of a company you have worked for or read about where someone, motivated by the potential gain from an incentive plan, went beyond the policy and the law, breaking all the rules?
There are a range of incentive plans for individuals and groups or teams. Think like an HR director who is responding to a work situation with a pay solution. Consider different types of pay plans along with their advantages and disadvantages.

Complete the following:

Select one individual plan, one team plan, and one long-term incentive plan.
Describe a situation in which each of these plans would be most appropriate, and justify why it is appropriate. In your descriptions, include the type of company and type of work as well as the position or positions that would be affected by your plan.
For example, if you selected a team-based plan, you might describe a department in a retail store that has a history of employees not covering for each other during the holiday rush period. You may use actual examples and reference a company as you have witnessed it, or you may describe a generic situation. In your descriptions, include how you think your chosen incentive plan will affect behavior and achieve intended results.

Antecedents of target marketing

In this Assignment, you will discuss antecedents of target marketing as they relate to the video case study on Numi Organic Tea. The video case study on Numi Organic Tea describes how the company’s sampling program helps position the Numi Organic Tea brand with its target markets. The brand’s premium position ties naturally into the customer outlined in the film, but Numi is also interested in expanding outside of the major tea drinker into more casual tea drinkers. Case Study For Policy recommendation

You are an analyst working for an international organisation and a member of a task team in the organisation that is focused on the policy issue identified in your chosen case study. You are responsible for drafting two sections of the policy brief that your team will send to policymakers in Dominican Republic,. The first section you are responsible for should assess the policy solution proposed in the case study. The second section you are responsible for should outline recommendations to policymakers in the relevant country. Remember to reference any sources you consult including course material and external resources.
Refer to the detailed guide provided in the Unit 4 Notes for more guidance on structuring your activity submission. Your answer should be appropriate for a non-technical audience of policy makers. Unlike in the Module 6 activity submission, your assignment should be in essay format and should only include the content outlined in Sections 1 and 2 below. Section 1 and Section 2 together may not exceed 2,000 words, excluding in-text citations and your list of references.
Section 1
Use the information provided in your selected case study to assess the policy solution that the authors propose. You should outline the problem in a simple way that is relevant to a non-technical audience of national policymakers. You should then provide a critique of the impact evaluation using concepts from Modules 4 to 6. Refer to Section 3.1 of the Module 10 Unit 4 Notes and the rubric that follows these instructions for detailed guidance on formulating your response in this section. Ensure that you provide the following in your answer:
Briefly outline the policy background.
Critically assess the research problem, hypotheses, methodology, and results.
Section 2
In the second section that you are responsible for, you should make a recommendation to policymakers in the Dominican Republic based on your analysis in Section 1. You should clearly outline the course of action that you think the policymakers should follow in addressing the policy issue in the future. This includes recommending whether the policy solution proposed in the case study be maintained, terminated, or scaled up. Ensure that your recommendation clearly highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the course of action you recommend as well as any other political or institutional factors that the policymaker should consider.
You should demonstrate an understanding of theory from the course when analysing the case and crafting your answer. Use Section 3.2 of the Module 10 Unit 4 Notes and the rubric that follows these instructions when formulating your answer. Ensure that you provide the following in your answer:
Outline possible policy solutions and discuss the benefits and challenges of each.
Draw on theory fromother modules to support your recommendations and policy problem sections.
Clearly highlight a course of action to the policymaker.

The Sampling Distribution of the Sample Mean

1. Two very important topics that you should carefully reflect upon this week include sampling error and standard error.
(a) Compare and contrast sampling error and standard error. Your discussion must clearly emphasize the distinction between these two topics.
(b) Discuss how sampling error and standard error might arise within the context of an original real-world application.
(c) In what ways (if any) does changing sample size influence sampling error and standard error?

2. The focus of this week is on discussing the sampling distribution of the sample mean. Suppose that the population of interest consists of the five starting players on a men’s basketball team, who we will call A, B, C, D, and E. Further suppose that the numerical continuous variable ( x ) of interest is height, in inches. Although you are required to use different numbers for this discussion, here is an example to provide a framework of what I am looking for of the following requirements: Week 10 DB Exemplar Example __ Distribution of Sample Means.pdf

Visualize that you were actually going out in-the-field to collect data so that it an be used to create this distribution of sample means. Create a table and determine the sample mean ( ) for each sample of size 2. Fill in two heights for each sample. Determine the sample mean for each sample of size 2.
